The 2015 Garden

As promised a few pictures.  Camera acted up so I didn't get to download all that I tried to take.  Son says it may be the battery.

Everything's looking great!  Our camera takes 4  AA batteries.  Guess that's why I don't use it much.

I need to buy the chargeable batteries for the camera.

Well it took some doing but here are a few new pictures.  I had problems learning the new camera.  It took 4 pictures then told me I was out of memory.  You would think I could take more than 4.  So I get in the truck to take the camera back and was in tears.  I tear up easily these days when things do not go well for me.  They were willing to refund the money but asked me to go back to the camera dept and talk with them back there. Come to find out the person who sold me the camera did not tell me it needed a memory card.  So for another $10 I purchase a card.  Came home and took 15 pictures and will show you some.  The garden does not look all that different that other years but will post them anyway for you.

Beets and far down more of those beans....son thinned them out and put the extra in the blocks.  To the right is one cucumber plant that was grown inside.  It has a tiny cuke on it.

Lettuce surrounding the cages and pole beans are coming up in the middle to climb the cages.



Nice ground cover in front and potatoes in the back.  Another experiment....the milk jugs each have a corn plant.



In front are volunteer tomatoes that son transplanted.  We do not know what variety they are until we get closer to harvest time.



Kale, onions, a few yellow beans and one zucchini plant.  More squash to come.

Strawberries putting on runners and the onions serve as a deterannt for squirrels and rabbits....no berries yet...probably next year.

Cucumber is climbing and to left beets, and peppers, way at end are the bush beans then to far left will be the squash



Pole beans in center of cages with lettuce around the bottom,  this will keep soil damp for beans when lettuce is beyond eating,  also to right of picture will be the tomato plants along the tall stakes

Cauliflower to right and to left is more okra coming up and a few asparagus beans along fence

Wow! Those are great! I'll bet you're the envy of the neighborhood!

There is one young couple down the road that has a garden....the rest of the people don't garden. I think another couple (both work at our tv station) are hinting of gardening for they have some bales of straw with items planted. I need to go and chat with them.

I took new pictures Friday and need to get them downloaded to photobucket yet. Will post them then.

Can't wait to see the new pictures Glad.

I think we have to get rid of some of he green on the page before the green pictures are posted.

No does not sound good LFF. But if I were hungry and nothing else to eat I would try it.

Dandelions are considered weeds and they are good. There are other items that are considered weeds that humans can eat.

Maybe I should start a thread for edible weeds. Or someone else can if they like.
