Yes Lightfoot, they were and she was in her teens, but cleanliness was next to Godliness her entire life.

RE: Garden, Good Friday I planted six hills of organic Russet potatoes.
Last evening a huge thunder storm raised the creek level mighty close to my potatoes and garlic.
Oh how I hope that filthy water doesn't reach my garden level.

That filthy water probably won't hurt your garden unless it has chemicals in it that would be damaging.

Maybe you can try building a couple in that 2 track area you want to fix up, Windwalker. It's sunny there.

Glad, the creek has been a dumping ground for oil, plastic, runoff from lawns which are saturated with weed killer. Thankfully the water didn't rise that high. I'm now more concerned about the cats who use the garden as a litter box.

I was up at the crack of dawn this morning planting sweet potatoes. After that was done I pulled a few weeds then picked kale, radishes and mustard greens.

Going back out to get garden pictures.

These pictures are great my friend. What a lovely garden you have. I'm glad your family and you have green thumbs. Unfortunely we don't have that luck. But we will be putting flowers in instead this year.

Planted 80 more onion sets today. And also son bought us a white grape plant so now we will have purple and also white.

We had a lot of rain last night so I pulled a bunch of weeds this afternoon. I am hurting so will take an Aleve at bedtime.

Glad, do you always take an Aleve?

I hesitate to take anything, but I am searching for a natural relief for the pain in my fingers due to arthritis.

I have more yellow onion sets to put out. Also Blue Lake bush bean seeds, several tomato plants, pepper plants, Marigolds, Begonias, Coleus. I'm cutting back on the amount of planting I do this year.

Only take Aleve when I absolutely have to. When taking it I take one at night then if needed one in the morning. Doctor would rather I take Aleve instead of Tylenol.

I will get new pictures soon. Everything is looking good from our recent rains.

Glad, your growing season begins long before our's.
I have spinach, green onions, kale, potatoes, garlic,
and lettuces up, but not large enough to eat. The
tomatoes can't go into the ground until closer to June
for fear of late frost. I hope to plant Bush beans and
more onions tomorrow, after the Sub-sales. There are
two Sub-sales nearby tomorrow and the lure is great.
I'm looking for Clark slip-on shoes, size 8. clap1

Thank you Peanut. My energy is not like it once was but I try to do a little everyday in the garden

Today I pulled lots of weeds. My one son mows the grass and the other son helps me in the garden. The one that mows also uses the tiller. Without my sons I could not live here.

Going to dry some kale soon......wonder if I can use a mixture of other greens too? This link shows the vitamin content of kale....interesting.
