After living may years in the country, I've seen manure that has turned green, but the 'green manure' referred to here is of a more pleasant nature.

I am not sure why they call it manure.

Compost would be more appropriate in my opinion.

By the way....I failed to mention that ISHY had posted that link in another thread. I brought it here to the link area. It is really informative.
