A Favorite Sandwich

Bacon Lettuce and Tomato on toasted bread or bun

I like a good BLT also, but I don't care to have my bread toasted.

Neither does one of my son but the other does.

I also like Ham and Cheese on Rye.

The only Rye I ever liked was that in Whiskey.

Actually, I try to limit my bread intake, and now I hear that the rolls used in Subway sandwiches cannot be defined as bread as they contain too much sugar, the Supreme Court of Ireland has ruled.

hmmmmmmm LLF......it is not only bread that contains lots of sugar......but you already know this.

I have not eliminated bread from my diet but I have cut down on how much.....along with pies, cookies, cakes, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, pasta, rice and the list goes on.........

Yes I eat anything I want only not as much. Today I am cooking spaghetti.....one of my favorites but I won't tell the diabetic specialist.

I eat too much. My appestat is broken.

I am blessed that I'm not diabetic for I realize bread
is no to be consumed in large amounts, correct?

I especially enjoy homebaked bread, when I get the heel, 
smothered in butter.
My favorite sandwich must be an open-faced cheese and tomato
on toast, zapped in the microwave long enough for the cheese to melt.

Actually, it's the carbohydrates  in the bread.

Bread in moderation is fine.  One slice is considered a serving so if you eat a sandwich with two slices that should be your carb intake for a meal.

We only had a small amount of turkey left so there won't be sandwiches today.

My brother ate cornbread. I'm not sure how much
at each meal. My sister in law made delicious cornbread.
Now that I think about it, my favorite stuffing/dressing
is cornbread stuffing.
My oldest brother had knee surgery, all went well, a few
days later, he died suddenly. They believe he threw a
blood clot from the surgery. His death was so sudden, 
he was sitting on the toilet and his mother in law told his
wife that he had been the bathroom a long time and she
should check on him. He was leaning against the sink,
which was right beside the toilet. Apparently instant death.
He was 65 and had been diagnosed with diabetes in his 20s.
Their son is also a diabetic.

So sorry to hear that, Joyous.  I take an aspirin each morning.

I also enjoy a peanut butter and mayonaise sandwich.
Sometimes I choose peanut butter and organic honey
for a sandwich.
