Very worrying, a lot of people are already in fuel debt and how will they cope? This is linked to world population pressures. There will be further problems linked to this up the road including food shortages.

I found myself starting to worry and thankfully
I remembered that we are not in charge. A much
higher power holds all power. I began to give thanks.

I'm in the same fix, Jackie.  There are so many programs, but I don't qualify for them.

Lets pray for a pleasant outcome.

LFF, we have had enough unpleasant things happening the past year. GOD willing, things will turn for good soon.

I hesitate to believe all that I hear regarding the virus. Anything related to Govt I take with a grain of salt. My sister was in poor health, was diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia. I believe her will to live was very low. If she had been treated for pneumonia alone, she may have recovered. Being put on the ventilator against her will ended her life, in my humble opinion. My notarized papers restrict ventilator, amputation, blood, I prefer to end my life at home rather than in a hospital. It is notarized: End of story.

My patient advocate states I don't want artificial means.  My sister is first advocate.  She said  she'd have no problem pulling the plug on me.

Jackie, I cannot recall hearing a Blackbird sing.
I have been surprised twice at night by the call of an owl. Cardinals call fascinates me. I used to be able to answer their call. I find I cannot manage it now. We feed the birds and get several of the species.

I used to whistle back and forth with a cardinal, but I can't whistle anymore.

I love the little yellow finches.  They come back in late spring.  Also enjoy watching the hummingbirds.  Son will put their feeders out soon as they return during April.

I love most birds. The Blackbirds have such strident voices and they try to take over the feeder. All the other birds take turns. We await the return of Robins, Goldfinch and Hummingbirds too. Robins come at the first hint of Spring.
What I am not delighted to welcome, Groundhogs! One has appeared, so the battle is on.

I say no.
My older sister said we did in our younger years.
I sure don't recall it. We did eat Possum. Not often,
but when meat was scarce. I recall eating Raccoon.
We often ate squirrel or rabbit. Once Daddy went bear hunting with an uncle and brought some home. Turtle.

Turtle is good.

So are frog legs.

I read somewhere that  frog legs jump in the pan when fried.

LFF, it's true. The muscles react to the heat.
I have seen it happen. We rarely ate frog legs.
A landlord had a pond and I don't recall if we were allowed to gig frogs. However once we did and had
frog legs.
We had turtle only once.
If food became scarce we could kill a squirrel and I remember how to skin it.

We ate a lot of pheasant, duck, rabbit, and venison.

When I was married, I cooked Pheasant and venison because my husband hunted both. I like pheasant more than venison.
