A soft blanket of feathery snow
Was spread upon our lawn last night
While we slept.
Covered each small bush
And summer's faded grass
No track of human foot has marred it's

Two days ago I couldn't find my car key.
I had been outside removing snow from
my car and only the car key missing.
I had worn an real old jacket of Ray's
and the key was in the pocket.

I am so organized i go frantic if and when something gets mislaid, even for a short time...I have to keep double-checking i have my door keys in my bag whenever i am taken out..

Jackie, I too am careful usually. It is a rare thing for me
to dash out to clear snow from the car. His 40 year old
coat is one we both use in extreme cold. I forgot that
I had dropped the key in the pocket.
Once I locked the car door leaving the engine running.
That meant a broken window.

Twas the night before New Years
and here on the forum,
we're beginning to feel
the weather isn' warum.
Here's hoping your socks were hung by the fire
Because if they're cold, that's not your desire.
Listen my children, What do you hear?
The wind whistling
saying good by to the year?
Fear nor for tomorrow
is yet another day
and for 12 more months,
it'll be here to stay.
