They plowed the snow off the street this morning and by doing so our mailbox was knocked down.  Son is trying to get it back up now.

Seems like there is always something at my house.......never a dull moment.

The last time I had a mailbox knocked down, it was hit by  an SUV or pickup.  Found their outside mirror by the box.

They just came out to fix it.  Suppose to get a new pole to set the box on.  Son had temporarily propped it up.

Will let you know updates.

I hope you get the mailbox back working again. I have no plans for today. I'm hoping for a nice, quiet, Saturday so I can just do as I please.

The county fixed it yesterday.

From what I heard there were quite a few that were knocked down. The  snow storm dumped a wetter bigger flakes this time which resulted in a heavier snow in weight.  I am getting out today. I only see patches of snow in the yard so most of it melted which is a good thing.

Glad, that is good news your son can take care of things which are
beyond your ability.
Our snow doesn't seem to be in a melting mood and new snow
has begun falling. Thankful it isn't a flood nor an ice storm.
The snow plow here made 10 or 11 trips around our park. He did
scrape up quite a bit of asphalt with the snow. We already have
to learn how to drive an obstacle course to avoid Pot holes.
No more complaints for this evening.

Now they want us here to move our cars every time the lot is plowed, so the driver can plow where we were parked.

LFF, when you think about it, moving the cars makes sense. Otherwise the plowman
will not be able to move all the snow. I know it inconvenient, but what is the alternative?

In years past, first shifters parked on one side of the parking lot, and second shifter on the other, so one side could be plowed in the morning, and the other in the afternoon.
Now, they want us to move our cars each day to leave a space between cars, so the plow guy can plow between the cars.  It's a PITA, as Sheri will have to move both her car and mine twice a day, with gas currently at 3.54, and rising.

The county did fix the broken pole and even replaced with a nice post.  (Free of charge I might add)
