What I really would like is a slow, steady rain all night.

and several will pop up. The one I use is hooded and has material about 4 inches across front and back. I usually leave the hood on the back of my neck, but with short hair one could put it on the head. I do need to remove it and shake it to cool it again once in awhile.

22C here, and much cooler, still no rain but storms promised with torrential rain. Much more pleasant weather, heat has been overwhelming.

Not a garden hose watering, a watering container and jugs of rainwater collected when we used to have rain.
Thankful for what veggies we are growing.

I am very lucky with my husband Nell. We have had fifty good years and still love each other. Like everyone else there have been difficult times, especially the loss of our only son.

LFF, it has been pleasant outside today. A sprinkling of rain thus far.

2Anne, having experienced difficulties in your youth, a good marriage is surely a blessing.
Losing your son had to be the hardest pain to bear/having each other for support during that time I would think brought you even closer.

SE Michigan had a lovely rain this early morning.
Later when burying kitchen scraps/peelings, I dug
down about a foot and found dry soil. Therefore
I hope for more rain. The air feels clammy to my skin.
