About 4 inches of snow dumped in my area over night.  It is beginning to melt because we are at about 34 degrees.  Glad of that.

In another thread I mentioned the snow plow knocked down our mail box.  It was not that the plow hit the box but the weight of the wet snow pushed it over.  

Will let ya'll know the saga of the mail box.

Regardless of how the mailbox is hit - whether directly plowed or avalanched by snow, I think the homeowner is responsible for repairing or replacing it, but call your local HOA or local municipality. One of these organizations will be able to tell you who is responsible for replacing your mailbox and post in your community, because responsibility varies by community.
