These people are not celebrated but should be.
I just watched, for the second time, "The Boatlift"
the video of the hundreds of boats of every type
simply going to the dock of Manhattan on 9/11
and taking as many people a their boats would hold,
taking them to safety. Trip after trip, saving thousands
of lives. On that day no other way out was available.

Jackie, I just happened to see it as I scrolled
and was so touched by the actions, the effort.
the emotion, I wept.
Another batch of videos I have been viewing
on You tube, the rescue of abused, abandoned
animals. The people who rescue them also take
them to Vets and find homes for them.
Yesterday a video pops up saying that some of
these are fake and just to get donations. While
I haven't donated, it makes me sad that we cannot
know for certain which are true.
