Your Thanksgiving 2020

Not going all out this year.  Will bake a turkey for sure.

I might be going out to Dawn's, or bringing her here.  Don't know yet.  My Sister is planning on bringing a chicken pot pie over to my Mom's.  Her house is 100 yards across my Sister's back yard.

That is a great way to not live with your child
yet feel safe having her nearby.

Got a call from Mary's Son, Gator tonight.  Asked if Dawn and I want to come over to his house for Dinner.  I think we'll go.

Gator? Did he actually ask what you would like to eat?
Gators have been known to devour unsuspecting guests!

Actually, Gator's name is Guy, but 'Gator' was a nickname he was given as a child in Florida.  There were alligators in the area where he grew up.  And the name stuck!

Just hubby and myself for Thanksgiving Dinner here today. Making it very simple just ham, mash potatoes, gravy, creamed corn and biscuits. Having pumpkin pie and cherry cheese cake.

Margie, how do you make creamed corn? 
I'm supposed to make it and I have never made it.

Happy Thanksgiving all!  Let's look at what we have to be thankful for.

LFF, Yes, today we should dwell on our blessings.
  Not one of us goes hungry.
 We're free to worship. (Even if our Gov. 
has the churches locked down, we can still worship where we are)

 Freedom of speech.

 Rain falls on the soil and makes things grow and gives us drink.

 We have this wonderful mode of communication.

 I'm thankful that bears do not take my coffee!

 I'm thankful for my SATW friends.

I don't know where I'd begin.  Each day, I thank God for all the many blessings He's granted us.

LFF, it's as it should be. 
I find myself remembering that 
I forgot to thank the LORD GOD for each blessing.

Joyous, it's really scalloped corn my friend. Sorry I got that wrong. I use 2 cans of cream corn, and a can of just regular  corn. Mix them together and then I add some onion chopped up, plus some peppers and then bread crumbs, enough to make it not soupy plus season with salt and pepper. Also add a bit of milk and one egg, mix them in. Put a tablespoon of margarine on top. Have your oven preheat at 350 should take about an hour.  Should be a golden brown around the corners  you know it's done. I will also look for a recipe for this to. I have my mom's recipe and will look for that one.
