Aww they are just too darn cute.

Yes they are cute. I saw one the other day eating a great big green tomato. I will have to study hard to figure out what to do next year.

So far they haven't eaten anything from our garden.
It's fenced with Chicken wire, but they're very adept 
at climbing over to bury peanuts.
Maybe you should feed them peanuts?

We throw peanuts out for the squirrels, and the  blue jays grab them up!

Lightfoot, you should place the peanuts in an area the Jays won't visit.
My second son sits on his doorstep with the peanuts on his knee. Fred,
 the squirrel, climbs on his knee and eats . 
 Fred sometimes comes and scratches at the door before my son gets 
outside. Once, he brought a mate along.

We toss them down from the balcony.

They sure do! Wish they were cheaper though.

Use sunflower seeds instead....cheaper!

Yes, joyous. When we were kids, we'd eat what my Dad brought in from hunting. Never bought meat at the grocery store.

If food was unavailable, I know how to skin and cook squirrel, but I would rather someone else killed it.

I would rather someone else ate it.

God created certain animals for food consumption. My late hubby did go hunting and what he killed we ate unless there was something wrong with it. I do not believe in hunting for sport only. There are too many hungry people in the world to see edible animals going to waste.

The next time we eat that hamburger, steak, pork chop, and salmon remember it was once a cute animal or fish too.....so squirrels are cute but edible if necessary.

It was not until Noah exited the ark that permission to eat animals was given. Genesis 9:3. Until that time I guess they only ate vegetation innit.

If you have no qualms about eating animal flesh and were hungry, I dare say you would like it.

When I was a kid, we lived in a rural area, and my Dad was an avid hunter. We would eat whatever he brought home from his hunt.
