Dawn

I'm sure Most of you know  of my 'adopted daughter' that Mary and I took in about 15 years ago.  Turns out she went off her meds, and ended up at a mental health facility.  I took her cat, put a message on my machine  asking her to not call here again, as I can't help her anymore.
Now, I find out she's getting released today.  Her Sister is coming from Ohio to get her, take her for groceries, take her to her apartment, clean, and get her settled in.  She'll be required to stay in Michigan, take her meds, that will be brought to her weekly, as directed.  I hope she doesn't call me, or come over.  I have my locks changed, as she had a key to the old lock.

Thanks jackie.  I have so much going on here, I can't be her babysitter.

Does she want her cat back?  I know you have taken good care of the cat.

She probably will, but maybe not.  She might not want Gracie back- too much responsibility.  Either way, she's not getting Gracie back.

LFF, where does that leave Dawn?

Dawn is at her apartment.  When her Sister and Brother in law leave tomorrow, she'll be alone.  I think Kevin is going to see her tomorrow.  According to her Sister, Dawn was hallucinating when all this started, and thought she was going to die.  She was off her meds, and she's burned a lot of her bridges.  I guess I'll talk to her if she calls, but I don't think I'll be her gopher anymore.  I have too much going on in my life.

Well at least she will be where she was. She shouldn't be dependent on you seeing as you have your own difficulties, health wise.

Tim and Tammy brought my stuff over last night.  Some of the stuff I'd given her, and I might return it, but I didn't realize how much she'd taken from me.  Been going through the stuff- 3 garbage bags, and a laundry basket.

I never said he was a gentleman, but then, in those matters, she hasn't been much of a lady, from what she's told me.

Yes, I realize that you never described Dawn's EX male friend as a gentleman.

I called Dawn today, and apologized for Being so cruel to her.  She said she understood.  Said she is moving to Muskegon, that she'd burned too many bridges here.  And that she loves me.

Of course I always have the complaint of cold temp in Michigan. Even as a child, I froze in Winter, even in S.C.

Sheri doesn't need to know who I'm texting.  She's just looking out for me, because she says she loves me like a brother, and doesn't want me to give all my money to that 'scammer', as she calls Michelle.
My hip is fine as long as I don't try to walk.  When sitting, one wouldn't know I need a new hip.  Thanks for asking.

Dawn texted me this morning to ask if I would pick her up Monday morning to take her to the DHS in Hastings.  said I would.  Asked where it is.  She gave me a number to call.  Called the number.  It was the Holland Social Security office.  Called her back. She said that would be fine. Told her to call to make appointment.  She asked me to. I called. They said she had to call.  Called her back. Told her she has to call.  Haven't heard back from her.

OH dear, I hope you can avoid taking on TOO much. You really do need to give your hip some rest. GOD bless you for all you try to do.

Don't know.  Not my problem.

It's good that you realize that. You cannot do for others if you're not well.

Maybe she be one of the first in line.
