FLASH!  This just in!  Plans in Michigan are to allow indoor dining at 25% restaurant capacity, if the restaurant is certified as to having met certain ventilation criteria, and the state will be providing a fund of 90 million dollars to assist restaurants in meeting those ventilation criteria.
Saw on TV last night that many people plan on continuing home dining, if for no other reason, to save money.

In today's news, Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy says "As we begin the new year I want us to set a new tone. We will soon begin a process to deliver a Postal Service of the future that will deliver affordable and dependable service to the American public in a self-sustaining business manner."
Okay.  There's our laugh for the day.

As for years it was August 25th 2007 when I created it as admin and the first two members were Glad E Olah and ISH on August 30th 2007.  How many years is that?

Glad, 14 years, as I believe LFF mentioned. There were several active
members back then.

The big news this morning, I guess is the weather- from rains and mudslides in California to the freezing cold in the New England states.  Getting our share as snow in the midwest.

So far, we escaped the predicted snowfall, but it could come 
tonight or tomorrow.
I didn't visit my little friend today. I thought the ice might 
be too risky.

If youdidn't get the snow by now, you won't, Joyous.  Poor little friend!

After Harris's resignation from the senate, there are now no Black women in the Senate after an election cycle with key victories powered by Black women. It has turned a moment of triumph for many Black women thrilled to see Harris make a historic ascent to the vice presidency into something more bittersweet.

The people who were living at the Stadium Drive homeless encampment in Kalamazoo near here moved to the Knights Inn Motel Feb. 2, 2021.  Took only one day to move the people from their trashy looking tent site to the vacant motel till May, when the motel is scheduled to be converted to apartments, to get them out of the elements.  This is wonderful.  Wish more cities would do this.  However, I'm worried that this motel may be trashed before then.  I hope not.
