We do most of our shopping at $ stores, merely because it's so much closer. I don't feel crossing town to shop is a good idea anymore. We have pharmacies nearer, also. Luckily we can get most of what we need either place.
ummmmmmm how about ice cream. They all sell that : )

I didn't know those stores sold stamps.

They used to sell stamps in machines.  Remember those?

Use to, but I haven't seen them for some time.

Like  everything else price of stamps increases often.

I was a child when stores were closed on Sunday.
It was a peaceful day with families spending time 
together. Nobody worked on Sundays.
However, I now wonder if that was fair to those 
who worshiped on the seventh day.

When I was a child the milkman delivered those items to our front door.  My dad even worked for a local milk company for awhile.

In Michigan we had milk delivery or walked maybe half a mile to a store.
In South Carolina, the milk came from the cow and was placed in gallon,
glass jars and kept in a hillside spring. The cream came to the top and 
was poured into an earthenware crock. When it clabbered one of us sat
and churned, a very boring chore, until butter gathered on the top. The
butter was scooped out, buttermilk poured into the gallon jars and returned
to the hillside spring until needed.

Jackie, Mother did the milking. 
If she was unable, my older brother did.
I tried once. Simply could not get her to give up
the milk. I did churn the clabbered milk and that
butter is the best. Also a very boring job.
