I know.  That's why I'm a Blues Chaser:

Big plans here for today.  I asked Alexa for the outside temperature when I got up, and she told me it was 5F.  So I'm not in a big rush to do anything.  the snowpack is crunchy on the sidewalk.

LFF, I assume Alexa said, 5 degrees below 0 !
Here in SE Michigan it was 3 degrees below 0.
Now the sun shines brightly. The snowplow has 
cleared a path to my little friend. YAY

Yes.  I forgot the minus sign this morning.  We're now at 15F.

Actually the - sign was there.

Nope.  Wasn't there.  I'm slipping.

Chipper got me up at 5:19 this morning by pawing at my recliner, so I took him outside, and walked him around for a few minutes.  Then I brought him in, and he laid down as I made a stop at the jim.
Turned on the computer, and took my vitals.  Will take my meds, and make breakfast soon.  Did my running around yesterday, so I don't have any plans for today.  Might get a nap in later...

LFF, you better check again. I see a minus sign after the 5.

Sorry.  I don't see a minus sign either before or after the 5.  That's okay.  I often see things that aren't there too.   Speaking of which, I need to call Allegan Eye Care to get my head eyes examined.  Will have to write that down.

Took Chipper outside at 3:30 this morning, when he pawed at my recliner.  After a 20 minute stroll through the dog walk area (where I picked up a couple of land mines left by other dogs), we came inside, and I laid back down till 7:45, when Chipper pawed at me again.  After taking Chipper out for another 20 minutes, I stayed up,  took my vitals, turned on the computer, took my pills, and went to the jim.  Now I'm back, eating a spaghetti meals on wheels dinner for breakfast, and visiting online!

First, to prove that my imagination isn't working overtime,
and I'm not seeing things that are not there, as you sit facing
your PC screen, on the right hand side, near the top, there
is a plus sign, below that is a minus sign, below that is a 
shorter minus sign.
My message doesn't show it, but yours does.

Usually I find fascinating items at the ALDI store. This
morning, nothing! I must be getting old? Dull witted?

Thank the good LORD for sunshine.
Soon I will visit the wee dog.

We have an additional 4 inches of snow this morning.  Roads should be cleared up a bit when I go pick up Dawn this afternoon.
Right now, I'm enjoying some turkey meat loaf, courtesy of my Mom.  She sends some of her 'meals on wheels' dinners home with me every week.

I didn't do much today, showered, shampooed, visited the doggie.
Last evening was a bit hairy. The gr.daughter who works at Meijer
was working the bakery alone. She doesn't know what happened.
A customer saw her, lying on the floor. When she fell, she hit her
head, a huge lump formed, her brother was on his job unloading trucks
and called home. Meijer wanted to take her to ER, but Gr:son, knowing 
she is subject to seizure's, told them she should go home. He stepped 
up to the plate thankfully. She feels fairly OK today. We think she must
not work alone again. If she had fallen in the freezer, OH MY.
 Thank the good LORD.

Yes Joyous.  It was fortunate that your Gr:son took control of the situation!

She seems ok aside from being sore from the fall.
And being sure they won't allow her to work alone 
again. She enjoys working alone. Not a good idea.

We went to a restaurant for supper last night.  Today, I'll be taking Dawn home, then will take Chipper with me to my Mom's.

Does Chipper behave well as a guest?
My doggie friend isn't people friendly.
I may not see him today, too much ice around.
I dare not risk falling and breaking a bone.

I did one load of laundry.
? I seem to have been busy, but accomplished little.
I would like to visit my three sons who are scattered 
around in Taylor, but I understand the weather will waarm up
later in the week, so maybe mid-week.
I find it quite easy to simply be lazy!

Don't expect the warth to last, Joyous.
Chipper is good visiting elsewhere, but at our apartment, he's very protective of me.

Opie is extremely protective of my Gr.daughter, Maggie. 
He loves me until Maggie enters the room or car.

Well well!  We're counting down to the end of the month.  Chipper had me up at 2:30 this morning, and again at 6:30.  I'll be picking up Dawn later this morning.  She'll take the bus to a hospital appointment at 10, and will call me afterward to take her to meet the girls at Minnie's Restaurant for lunch.  I hope to take Chipper for a walk today, wash my car, and put a tiger in my tank too. (Kidding.  I go to Speedway for gas.  We don't even have an Esso/ Exxon station around here.

LFF, it's good that you're more or less forced to
be out and about. It's easy and tempting to simply
hibernate during these dreary days.
There certainly isn't any encouraging news from our
Govt. It fair boggles my mind that our precious freedom
could so quickly be snatched away. Fence with razor wire
around our Capitol? REALLY?
I just finished reading "William Tyndale", the story of his great work
of translating the New Testament from the Hebrew into English,
a work he undertook in order that commoners might read the
Scriptures in their own language, a work he undertook knowing
if captured he would be burned, which he was.
Such bravery, such faith.

Well, our elections show that we want to give up our freedoms.
Too bad Tyndale couldn't have had a ghostwriter.
As for getting out and about, I wish I could stay home more.

Tyndale knew what he faced. He managed to
keep translating and kept his study of Hebrew
even as he awaited trial. He was faithful to the
end.

Yesterday, Sheri was having SAD symptoms again.  I listened to and talked with her.  She had me over to look at her TV- was having trouble connecting to my router.  We didn't get it resolved,  but she told me she had to go to Walmart to pick up a prescription, and I volunteered to take her there.  She said she wanted to lie down first.  Could I come wake her in 2 hours?  So I went home, set Alexa for 2 hours, went over and woke Sheri.  She said give her another hour.  At this point, I'm thinking about all the times I've made plans with women in the past, only to be shot down by them.  
Went back in an hour.  She asked "Can you give me another 15 minutes?"  I told her "Sure.  Come knock on my door when you're ready."  She came over in a few minutes, and I took her to Walmart.  Finally!  A date with Sheri! (Well.  Technically not a date- I sat in the car, as she went in for her prescription.)  She'd asked if she could order a pizza, and pick that up too.  I'd told her 'Sure.'  I sopped at the pizza place, and she got her pizza.  She invited me in to have some pizza.  I declined because I'd already eaten during the 1 hour wait, after the 2 hour wait earlier.   She brought me over a couple of slices of pizza about 6:00, and said she'd be back to play a game of marbles.  She didn't, and I turned in at about 10:45.
Today, I might make pancakes.

Oh, shut my mouth. I apologize. 

Today I scrubbed the kitchen floor (as I always have, on hands and knees),
showered, lunch was leftover, frozen, lentil soup. Very good. My housemate,
Ray had pierogi. I asked for just one as that is not a favorite food of mine.
A little later, my daughter, Gr.daughter and I will go to Taylor to give some 
late birthday cards. Late because of snow on the birthdays. Then I will see
the little doggie.
Illegal President Biden has been making huge gaffes. His mental status gets
worse and we must expect Harris to take over soon. Wanna bet?

Don't even think like that, Joyous!  My day was going well, and then you threaten my day with that suggestion. :(

Sorry LFF, but we must face facts.
 The man who would be President isn't playing with a full deck.
Those who prompted him to run knew it. President Obama said,
"Joe, you don't have to do this." (Which was kind). The liberal
left knew the voters wouldn't elect Harris, but Biden could name
her as VP. BINGO! 1st female President AND a female of color!

If that happens, Trump could win in '24!

He won in 2020. Only by fraud was he denied his second term.

I know that.  You know that.  A lot of others know that.  But the party in charge says there was no fraud, so we'll have to make the best of it.

Took Chipper out at 10 last night, and again at 2 this morning.  Then, I slept in this morning.  Chipper woke me at 7:08.Have no plans yet today...

LFF, you may have noticed that I have difficulty accepting

  Even our heavenly Father has to remind me often.

Today I went to the bank. After constant complaining about
being forced to use the Drive-thru, what did I do? Used the 
Drive-thru!
I had a gifted Handheld Solitaire game, which I used when I
was doing Home-Care. It kept me sane with one particular
woman. Finally it wore out. I missed it. My house mate gave me
a new one today. I'm that delighted!
I will soon be seeing my little friend.

I took Chipper downtown, and walked him for a good half hour.  Then came home and used a shovel to clean up the 'pet walk area' here.  Some people are so inconsiderate!

LFF, we have quite a bit of those here who never clean up.

Every time I see a pile during our downtown walks, I verbally acknowledge it's existence.  If there's another excrement in close proximity to Chipper's,  I'll pick up Chipper's and the other pile as well, But I won't go out of my way to clean up after someone else's dog.

Didn't feel right this morning. Was having ba little trouble walking, but I was lucid, so I took Chipper out, came back in , and laid down for a couple of hours.  Still not feeling 100%, so I'm going to lie down again,

I will only clean it up, if it's in an area where I walk.
We always clean up after Little Chuckie and Opie.
Years ago, new neighbors let their dog poop on our
yard and left it. My housemate scooped it onto a
piece of cardboard, printed, "Have a blessed day."
and placed it in their porch. Their dogs never pooped
on our yard again.
I see Sky News Australia is challenging Facebook.

I will shortly be visiting Little Chuckie.

Going to be a nice day today.  Had snow overnight.  Will take Chipper to Otsego later, and will pick up Dawn at 3.

I'm not diligent about Sabbath keeping, but I do
abstain from intensive labor, almost never shop.
More or less a day of rest.
The sunshine lifts my spirits / hope springs eternal.

I plan on abstaining from physical labor today again.  Will take Dawn home about noon.  Then I plan on a drive out to my Mom's.  We'll see.

It's so good to hear his voice again.
