Bringing Back Our Daily Smiles

Brand new year so lets bring this area back.  Who will be the first to make us laugh or smile for 2022?

Mornin' all!  Not a lot planned the rest of the day.  Already had a full day.  Reason to smile:   Sheri is having me up for Spaghetti for supper.  This morning, I picked up a few things that she needed for it.

Wow Jackie!  I know you must have felt really bad  but hey these things happen in life.

LFF I love spaghetti!

I am having the traditional New Year's meal today but must go to church first because tomorrow may not be a good day weather wise if this rain turns to sleet.  Already down to 49 now.

I guess my smile for today is I woke up this morning....really I did not sleep much.  I know there will be a nap in my afternoon!

My smile for today would be when my youngest,
my 4th son walked to his door with me and let
me hug him. Of course that happens every time
as I leave and it's always worth a smile.

Got a hug from Sheri before I left last night, and today Penny stopped by with a card and a hug.  They brought a smile to my heart.
Talking to Glad and Joyous on the phone did too!

Today the sunshine makes me smile.

I try to smile at people, especially the elderly who might be living alone. Most people smile back.
I feel very optimistic about 2024, not that the news is a contributing factor!

Yes just a smile, might make someone else's day..

Today we may have less to smile about but it makes you feel great when you can smile about something.

I still believe laughter is our best medicine...

A lady in a local store recently mentioned how good it was
to see me smile. I asked, "Even with my missing tooth?"
She said, "Yes, so few people smile anymore."
I thanked her and now make it a point to smile at more people.
So a tooth is missing! Apparently it matters not.

Forgettaboutit.  I don't have any teef.

Get some dentures LFF, you must smile!

I bought dentures 28 years ago.  they're in a box here somewhere.  I smile fine without them. Took this picture a couple of minutes ago. See?

This weather is no (laughing) matter.
Due to Brrrrr cold, our water pipes are frozen.
Finding a good Plumber in bitter cold weather,
one who would scoot about beneath a Mobile home
is next to impossible, even for a high fee. The pipes
are taped, but the cold is extreme.
Still, we have heat, food, bottled water, I'm finished whining.

I used a heat cable on all three of my mobile homes.  I can't remember the brand, but an advantage was that it would not burn out if it touched itself.  Never had frozen pipes in my 20 years of living in mobile homes.

In case you need further proof that the human race is doomed because of stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.
...On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (and that's the only time I have to work on my hair).
...On a bag of Fritos: . You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special)?
...On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap." (and that would be how???....)
...On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion).
...On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom): "Do not turn upside down."(well...duh, a bit late, huh)!
On Marks &Spencer Bread Pudding:"Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought????...)
...On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time?)
...On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.)
...On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because???....)
...On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to...what?)
...On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)
...On Sunsbury's peanuts: "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash)
...On an American Airlines packet of nuts: ..."Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, uh...fly Delta?)
...On a child's superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly."

I'm sure glad they're watching out for me!
