Outstanding!

The only word I can come up with today for the weather is Outstanding. 

After about a week of almost 100 temps with a heat index to 120 today it is simply Outstanding!  75 degrees and low humidity! 

I will take it anytime!

Our weather has been cooler here too!

'Twas nice to sleep with a window open last night.  The air is almost crisp this morning.  Fall can't be far away now!

Made a walmart run this morning  Bought 50 bucks worth of stuff.  Almost filled the glove compartment in my car.

I know the feeling LFF.

Today has been another gorgeous day.  I cleaned my deck off and got rid of some junk.  I over did it but proud I did what I did.

Took 2 motrin and a nap.  Feeling a little less sore.  I will get over it.

Just so I know, is this section titled "Outstanding"
as in what was Outstanding about my day?
I must say that yesterday was "Outstanding"
I sat on a bench in the trailer park next door with 
my daughter waiting for "The Blue Moon".
It was awesome as well as Outstanding.

Nell you can take the title of the thread any way you like.  I began it because the weather that day was outstanding!  If your day was outstanding yesterday then that is great.

Speaking of the weather.....I woke up this morning with an outside temp of 55.  And that is outstanding to me.  Drank a cup of coffee on the deck.

Yesterday was an outstanding day for me...After moving away from my happy village i-we, ( who was a female neighbour ) at last we made it happen and got together, and met up at my home after a gap of seven - eight years of not seeing each other since i moved away...It was lovely to hear of who still lives in the village, and sad to hear who has since passed...We are both the same age, we since both lost our hubbies...We drank tea, had biscuits, followed by sandwiches, followed by Victoria Sponge cake...She still looked good just as i remember her, we both wore smart dresses...

Glad, I'm sure you enjoyed your lunch with your friend.

Jackie, that was such a pleasant occasion you had with an old friend.
Doesn't it seem we postpone time we could be spending with people
we miss? A dear friend of mine, a younger woman who dated one of
my sons years ago and wee remained close friends over the years.
Yet it has been ages since we have seen each other. We chat on FB.
She has retired from her job of many years and is now involved in
local politics, which I admire.

Another beautiful day.  Glad fall is just around the corner.

Definately. I regret not having visited one of my best friends, before covid took him.

Spent my labor day doing a labor of love....canning green beans.

Hope all are enjoying the last summer holiday.  Next will be Halloween then Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Not much time left for 2023.

Glad, time flies past as we plan tomorrow. 
Our gardens are almost finished. We begin planning the 2024 garden.
This evening I went to my 3rd child's/2nd son's home to celebrate his first son's 
35th birthday.
Very hot here today.
Jackie, I'm thankful you and your friend did meet instead of waiting.

Years ago, Sally and I had about a half an acre of flowers we grew and sold.  One day, when Sally was in the midst of the flowers, I told her she was outstanding in her field.

LOL LFF, your memories of days with Sally are good

Joining in the celebration of my first gr.child's 35th
birthday brought back good memories. 
I was still working when Kenny was born. Thursday
was my day off. That was my day to have him.
I loved spending his toddler years with him.

Took son to mow the lady's yard he mows.  She is a good friend.  Always giving me something she has canned.  Today it was Italian soup (only a pint but hey I am appreciative).  She said I could add some noodles with it to stretch it.

She also gave me some seeds from tomatoes she processed this year.  Said they were the easiest peeling tomatoes so she thought we might want to grow them next year. 

Nell mentioned the garden.....yes it is about done for the year.  I still have tomatoes and okra left.  Want to freeze some okra next week for soups this winter.

Yes.  I'll get it when I get my old computer set up again.

OUTSTANDING

Being 87 and still blessed with relatively good health.
Living thus far in a land that isn't torn apart by war.

Sally appeared to be quite attractive.

Thanks, nell.  I didn't like that she always had  cigarette hanging from her mouth.

Sally died because of lung cancer at 63.

I understand because some of my children smoke. Their dad smoked and I did until about 39 years ago. I blew smoke through a kleenex, saw the brown stain, said, "This is what you're putting in your lungs" never smoked again. I hate being around cigarette smoke.

OUTSTANDING

Yes, I am being judgmental/ just too old for
today's world, I reckon.

That's Ms. Homecoming queen.  God created Man and Woman- not either or.

The mention of cigarettes.....well that is how I lost Bill because of tobacco use.  Anniversary 19 years this coming Sunday.  Needless to say I have not been in a good mood the last couple of weeks.

Well the weather is still OUTSTANDING  at least that makes me happy.

Today was beautiful here in SE Michigan too.
(Our Humming birds and our Robins seem to
have flown south, We miss them so much.
