Just saw on TV that Old Navy jeans are going to start having front pockets, thanks to a 7 year old  letter writer.  They didn't have front pockets before?
Will probably take Chipper for a walk today- no other plans yet.
I'm a little proud of my shelving acquisition yesterday...

LFF, that is a great find! Those are nice shelves and useful.
Are they solid wood or particleboard? 
Some of our furniture items are particle board and they look
like solid wood. One small chest we found on trash day was a desk.
We didn't need a desk, but my housemate cut the desk side off,
put the edging on the chest where the desk part had been cut off,
stained it, wella! A very nice chest.
The Old Navy jeans, I never owned a pair, but find it surprising
that they lacked front pockets!

Hard to tell.  I know the shelves are laminated plywood.

The little pink guy convinced me to get up at 307 this morning.  Woke Chipper and took him outside.  Going to have to think about putting the portable air conditioner in the bedroom today.  If the temperature gets too warm in the living room here at night, I can nap in there.  I don't have central air like Dawn does.  I have a wall air conditioner  in the living room here by my desk, and that has to cool the living room, dining area, and kitchen, as well as the hallway and bath.

Good afternoon all. I just realize I haven't been here for a while. So I changed my profile picture and got a new siggie here to. John and myself had our first vaccine for Covid a few weeks ago. Just had sore arms and otherwise okay. Will have our second one come April 21st. Just the two of us for Easter and had a nice, quiet meal and watched movies here. Finally got our simulate check yesterday, getting the van done and few bills and such paid and ordered some new cook ware for the kitchen. Need to buy some new blinds for the kitchen and towel racks for the bathroom to.

Good to see you, Margie!  I see you put your check to good use.  I paid mine on my credit card.

Margie, how good it is to read a post from you again.
Everyone seems to be getting the COVID vaccine.
I'm opting out and pray they don't force us to submit to it.
The stimulus $$ will stay in my checking account until needed.

I vacuumed today, went to ALDI, visited the doggie, hung a load of laundry
on the drying tripod umbrella type thing. Planted a short row of yellow
onions. Picked Kale for adding to a salad tomorrow.
We had a lovely rain this evening.

I took Chipper for a walk today- got home just as the rain started.  Took him out later, and he walked me down to the end of the apartments here.  Had to walk back in the rain, and Chipper doesn't get in a hurry.
Put the portable air conditioner in the bedroom today.  Works well!

April 9 here today.  Chipper woke me at 4:30 this morning with his gentle  pawing at my recliner.  He only needs to paw at it once, and I tell him "Okay.  I'm getting up.".  Took him out, sat on a wet picnic bench for a while,  Couldn't get my TV to wake up right away.  Don't know what was up with that...  I was thinking I may have to get a new TV.  When I do, I may get a smaller one- I saw a 24 inch Muntz TV on Ebay.  I had a Muntz 8 track in my '62 Buick, transferred it to my '68 Mustang, then to my '74 Dodge Dart Sport.  Don't know what happened to it.   I have fond memories of that 8 track.....
Sorry.  Got into reminiscing there.  Coming back to the present, just finished a breaded salmon meals on wheels dinner for breakfast.  Will meet Dawn and Kevin  for lunch in Otsego for lunch.  Have no other big plans yet.

You mentioned portable AC. Is that the one that
must be hooked up to a duct? An escape for the 
heated air? My daughter's central AC has a problem.
I wonder if a portable would work for them?

Amazing coincidence! Today is April 9th here too!   

I picked kale this morning, greenbagged it, took it
to the Flat Rock pharmacy intending to give it to the
nice Pharmacist who took his time to research the 
effect green leafy vegetables (Vit. K) has on people
taking blood thinners. I wished to show my appreciation.
Alas, COVID stopped me at the door. Appointment necessary.
A young couple drove up. I asked if they were going to
the pharmacy. She was SO very nice agreeing to give the
kale to him and asked my name. Such a blessing.

I will soon see Little Chuckie!

I have mine exhausted through the window.  It has a panel that fits into the window, so the window can be closed. Great for a room- but not a whole house.

I think they would need two, at least.
She had a man out checking the central AC today.

I had central air in my '71 mobile home.  I loved it!   You can't beat it for cooling all the areas that you want cooled.
In our four bedroom house, we had 2 window units that cooled both ends of the house well, but were lacking in the middle of the house.

Slept in this morning.  I'll be heading out to my Sister's this afternoon to help her set up and price for a garage sale.  Have no other plans yet for today.

Son and I are going to look for plants today.......before they get gone.....he did not plant his own this year.....been a weird year so far.

Hi Joyous!  Having herb chicken for breakfast.  Then will Take Chipper for a walk.

Glad, I'm waiting to find out whether or not you bought plants
for your garden. Our Garden centers have yet to open. I am
leary of late frost.

Chipper didn't wake me till 5:30 this morning,  After taking him out, I came back in, and dozed for another 2 hours.  Will be heading out to my Mom's later today.  I'm sure we'll be moving stuff from my Mom's garage to my Sister's too.  There goes my whole day.

After last year's garage sale, you still have stuff
for this year's garage sale?
My daughter and I went to a church rummage sale yesterday.
They had no prices, just donations. I found a few things and
donated far more than if they were priced. The first church
built in Flat Rock. Such nice people.

Today:
1 load of laundry. Set out 6 lettuce plants. Will visit Little Chuckie.

Didn't have any garage sales last year.  Got stuff left from 2019, plus a lot of new stuff.  My Sister and I brought a bunch of stuff up from my Mom's, sorted most of it, and priced a lot of it.  I'll be going there again  on Tuesday.

Chipper woke me at 5:36 this morning.  Then, he followed me to the jim. bringing his favorite toy in with him.  I wrestled the toy away from him, and tossed it down the short hallway in my apartment, then put his harness and leash on him, before taking him out to his jim. 
Yesterday, I made the 45 minute trip to my Mom's, visited a while, then my sister and I worked a few hours on stocking and pricing items for the upcoming garage sale, scheduled for the weekend after next..  Got home about 6:00.  Will go back Tuesday, but have today off.  Have no plans, other than taking Chipper for a walk, and buying some Milk.  Sheri called last night to see if I had some, and I didn't.

Today I washed my outerwear, potted 4 tomato seedlings for my daughter,
visited Little Chuckie at least three times / my son has been very sick, sore
throat, extreme headache, he actually went to Urgent Care /he NEVER goes to doctors!

I forgot to mention that I have been bitten by what I assume
to be Chiggers. Rather early for them to be out, but the bites are just like the
ones I had last year. They itch like the dickens.

Wash the area with soap and water.  For most cases, no treatment is required since it will just take one to three weeks for chigger bites to heal completely so for the mean time, scratching should be avoided even if it’s quite difficult since it might lead to infection. There are also over-the-counter medications for anti-itching such as calamine lotion or corticosteroid creams to control the symptoms. Oral antihistamine medications like diphenhydramine can also help relieve chigger bites. Chiggers do not remain in the skin so an attempt of removing it is not necessary.

LFF, I douse the area with alcohol followed by Anti-itch ointment.
Before getting into P.J.s, I did use some Calamine lotion. The bite-sites,
(eleven in all) are just like the ones I had last Summer. I also researched Scabies.
The bites look the same. I'm going with Chiggers.

I don't recall ever having them.

Hi Glad!  We've missed you!

Bought Sheri a gallon of milk yesterday.  I'll have to quit that.  I seem to recall my Mom telling my Sister, years ago that a guy won't buy the cow, if he can get the milk for free.  Wonder if that applies here.
Had the day off yesterday, but will have to go back to my Sister's this afternoon to work more on setting up the garage sale stuff.  Was up at 4:30 this morning with Freddy (I gave the little pink guy a name).  Took Chipper out with his Freddy too.  As I was coming in with Chipper, I heard a familiar voice say "Hi Michael".  I said "Hi Sheri" and peered into the darkness.  She had taken her Princeton out too..  Going to take a short nap now.

Went over to my Mom's today.  Then my Sister and I brought a bunch more boxes from my Mom's garage, then sorted and priced for a couple hours.
Went back in and visited with my Mom for a while.

The last few yard sales I have tried to have did not amount to much so anymore I pack up my items not needed or wanted anymore and take them to the Teen Challenge Thrift Store.  This way I figure I am helping then a little.

Took Chipper out at 5:30 this morning.  Asked Alexa what the temperature was here, and she told me 38F, so I wore a light jacket.  Felt good though.
Will be taking Chipper for a walk later, and I may do a load of laundry.  Won't be going out to my Sister's today.  She and he husband have to go to the V.A..   Right now, I'll warm up a meals on wheels dinner.

Little chilly here this morning, and will be all day, so I may have to wear a jacket when I go to my Mom's this afternoon.  I may even have to turn up the heat in my car!

The big deal for me today is that I'll be meeting my Sister and Brother in Law at Sam's club this afternoon, and they'll be getting me a smartphone.  Don't know how that's going to go...

with your Smartphone than I am. I'm getting the 
hang of how to actually call folks with it. Texting
may be the next step. Then the camera. Games
may eventually be possible.

I've figured out how to make a call with it, and take front and rear pictures, but I have a lot to figure out on it yet.

I found socks with individual toes. I

Here we go again on a Monday morning!  I have a podiatrist appointment in an hour.  Other than that, no plans.  Chipper had me up at 3:17 this morning.  Put a wall clock in the jim, so I can see the time in there, to limit my reading.
