Dogs have a sixth sense about the weather,  Hope Chuck is okay.
I didn't hear from Sheri last night, so will go up about 11:30, and check her door to see if it's unlocked so I can take Princeton out.  Will leave about 12:30 to take Dawn for her Covid shot.  Will take her home afterward, and take Chipper to the park in Otsego.  Have no other plans today.

I sort of told of mine in the vitals section.

Also pray the tornado steered clear of all loved ones.

Thank you Joyous.  I'm saying the same prayer.  I took Dawn for her first shot today.  She thanked me, and said if I hadn't registered her name and info, then followed up on her emails, made her phone calls, and taken her to the vaccination site, she probably wouldn't be vaccinated now.  She gets her second shot April 22.
My friend Tim got the Johnson and Johnson single shot dose.

Woke up with a stuffy nose at 3:38 this morning.  Laid there for a while before I took Chipper out in the rain at about 4:15.  After he walked around and peed a few times, I brought him in, and dried him off a bit with the bath towel I have hanging on my coat tree for just such an occasion.  I'm drinking some iced peach sparkling water, thinking about maybe making some French Toast in a bit, but right now, I'm going to take a little nap.

LFF, the gratitude Dawn shows proves she doesn't take for granted
the things you do for her.
I'm cutting back on caffeine, a small cup of coffee mornings and a
small one at noon. That doesn't seem like too much to me. If I cut
all coffee out, I feel very tired.
I did the white wash this morning, some other puttzy stuff.
Soon I will visit Little Chuckie.
I hope all you Shouters have a lovely day. I hope 2Anne, Margie, and Glad are
enjoying this day.

We just got a new Whirlpool washer here at the apartments.  Works great, but a coin got stuck in the coin acceptor a couple of months ago, and it took that long to get a key from corporate.
I highly recommend a refurbished computer.  I bought mine for $135 2 years ago, and that included tower, keyboard, and mouse.

Glad, I'm basing that on Maytag from many years ago.
I must have owned or used a Maytag wringer washer.
I definitely recall the Easy spin washer I had. The big tub was
for washing.
Then the wet clothes were moved into a smaller tub to spin
the soapy water out. I must have put them back into the large
tub for rinsing? Then into the small spinner to spin for hanging
on the clothesline to dry. I honestly loved hanging the wash out.
While the babies were still sleeping, I took freshly washed sheets,
towels, diapers out to the clothesline, shook each item out, popped
the diapers,
birds were usually singing. I enjoyed those days. Many a morning
I baked cookies before the little ones woke. Five births between July 1957
and Oct 1963.
LOL Sorry for the walk down memory lane.

That's quite alright, Joyous.  Reminiscing is good- takes one's mind off of the mess we live in.
Speaking of washing clothes, I remember when, as a kid, I watched my Mom stir the clothes in a cement sink, the run all the clothes through a hand cranked wringer, and they would drop into a basket, which my Mom would carry out to the line for hanging.

I always liked the wringer washers. Still, it isn't always possible
to hang clothes outdoors.

LFF, I have used that type wringer washer.
I like them. Mother and my older sister used
to wash the clothes near the creek so the clear,
clean creek water could be used. They had a
cast iron pot filled with water sitting over a hot fire
for boiling some of the wash and two galvanized tubs
sitting on a bench filled with water for washing and
for rinsing. Everything had to be wrung out by hand.
Sheets were a two person, one at each end, twisting
in opposite directions. I helped hang the wash on the
clothesline. Rags and old clothes were hung on a
barbed-wire fence. They were hardworking, tough women.

LFF, that was the way back in those days.
My daddy was a neat housekeeper after
Mama died. When he married Mother, he reverted to being the working
man who brought home the necessary $$ and did the outside work, such
as cutting wood, clearing land, growing corn, etc. The kitchen garden was
Mother's domain, as was washing, ironing, scrubbing, raising the babies,
canning food for winter. My older sister began the work of a woman at 11
years of age. My older brother began the work of a man at about the same
age. I was two years younger and managed to avoid work as much as possible.
I was assigned the chores of carrying water, washing dirty diapers, watching the
little ones, helping my brother cut wood (which I believe was more annoyance to
him than help), gather leaves for the cow's stable, my
tendency toward living in dreamland often got me in trouble.
The daughter and three sons of Daddy's and Mother's union were 6 to 10 years
younger than me. That sister and I have always been fast friends.
(Oh dear, here I have spent time lost in memories again)

Bank, washed my outerwear, discussion about life on

albatross as opposed to a blessing. I try to converse with
him. I'm far below his level and lack the ability to retain

born to parents whose intellectual level was below his. In

he had no challenge.

I grew them in peat pellets from seeds I
ordered. Just as I was finishing, rain became a bit serious.
I have Kohlrabi to transfer into pots, perhaps tomorrow.
I feel GOOD being out working in the soil!

Yesterday I did a load of laundry, went to the home

You should be able to get them, Glad.  Even Amazon sells them:

The little pink guy convinced me to get up at 5 this morning.  Then Chipper followed me to the jim, so I took him outside, following which, I stayed up.  Dawn will be going to lunch with the girls, and then ask me to take her home from Allegan.  I'm sure that she'll ask me if I heard that there are going to be new stimulus checks, and I'll tell her I heard only that the IRS is supposed to be sending checks to the people they missed last time.
By the way, did you ever notice that if you combine 'the' and 'IRS', you get 'theirs'?  And as author Tama Janowitz wrote, 'they' is 'us'.

Glad, I bought seed potatoes and onion sets at Farm and Home.
I still want to get seeds for the little green onions.
I hope I remember to wear Sun blocker tomorrow. Today, my
cheeks got quite red.
LFF, I didn't know Kohlrabi was of the turnip family. I only recently
ate it. I peeled it and cut into small chunks and sautéed with other
vegetables. I hope I can grow them.
Today I laundered a couple of blankets. Feels like Spring cleaning.
The little dog only wanted to go outside today. No playing with the
ball, just enjoying outdoors.

After taking Dawn home, I took Chipper to one of the parks in Otsego. along the Huron River.  He enjoyed being out in the weather too.  Wanted to lie under each picnic table, and of course tangle his leash too, much to my dismay.  Did laundry  today- 2 weeks worth all mixed in 1 load.  Found two 2 shelf wooden units by the dumpster.  They were in very nice shape, so I took them home.  Had the perfect place to put them:

Just saw on TV that Old Navy jeans are going to start having front pockets, thanks to a 7 year old  letter writer.  They didn't have front pockets before?
Will probably take Chipper for a walk today- no other plans yet.
I'm a little proud of my shelving acquisition yesterday...

LFF, that is a great find! Those are nice shelves and useful.
Are they solid wood or particleboard?
Some of our furniture items are particle board and they look
like solid wood. One small chest we found on trash day was a desk.
We didn't need a desk, but my housemate cut the desk side off,
put the edging on the chest where the desk part had been cut off,
stained it, wella! A very nice chest.
The Old Navy jeans, I never owned a pair, but find it surprising
that they lacked front pockets!
