Muggy, muggy, muggy here!  This humididity keeps 'sticking' around.  I hope to go see my Mom today.  Might chop out a Rose of Sharon stump that we left sticking up a little too high.  Have no other plans yet.  Dawn is making chocolate chip pancakes for me right now.

Good morning all. Sorry I haven't been around lately. But things are not so good here at the moment. My son's Jason and Chris lost their father Ron on Friday, June 25th at home. He was release from the VA Hospital on Wed and came home and died 2 days later. Funeral arrangements are being make and should know by Tues at the most. I was only married to their father for 13 years and was blessed to have both these wonderful son's in my life. Please keep them both in your prayers.

Raining here again this morning.  When the rain stops, I hope to bring my computer in for an upgrade to Linux Mint 19.3.  I don't trust myself to change the display program and stuff that needs to be done.

I did some garden work this morning.
Took up a row of potatoes which were crowding the 
Bell peppers, weeded, picked several cucumbers,
put some Borage in the rear window of my wagon,
to dry on paper towels. It makes good tea, beneficial
to heal sinus problems.
It was very humid and hot. Naturally I forgot to wear
my neck wrap, a cloth which I wet and wear for cooling.
When it warms, jus take it off, shake it and put it back on.

Sure wish it would rain here.....seems like it keeps missing us for some reason.


Joyous I dug my little patch of potatoes for the same reason......got enough to eat for potatoes are something I shouldn't eat a lot of.

It is ho and humid here also.  There are clouds but the rain goes around us lately.

Had Linux 19.3 put on my computer today, and had them add some RAM for me too.  My computer was slowing down later in the day, as it used virtual RAM.  Got Chipper out for a walk between showers today too.  After I brought Chipper home, I went to the Grocery Outlet for some mini-brownies that don't seem to hurt my sugar much.  As I was coming out, I saw Laurie, a lady about 50 who works for the City here, coming in.  She'd gone over to my car to see Chipper, but I told her he was home relaxing in the a/c.

I must correct my statement, from yesterday, that I had made regarding my Linux 19.3.  Actually, 19.0 was installed, and I had to upgrade to 19.3, thanks to Windwalker's sharp eye.
Also, as I'd busted a doorknob off the folding doors on my bathroom closet, I had to pick up a new knob.  Came to find out the knob will work, but I need a longer screw.  So I guess that means another trip to the hardware store today.  I also need to stop at the bank to get quarters.  Better go now, and take Chipper for a walk before the rain gets here.

I'm quite pleased with myself, having been baiting the FB Factcheckers
for eons, I finally aroused their fury! They're such Leftists!

Here we go with the last day of June.  I'm hoping we can dry out a little bit here.  We had water seeping in, and soaking the carpet by the back door to our apartments.Today, I'll be taking Chipper for a walk later, and picking up Dawn later today.

Sorry.  That's the best I could come up with this morning.
Hoping I can take Chipper for a walk later.  Then maybe go out to my Mom's.  Have no other plans.

64 years ago today I went with my mother in law to Ann Arbor
to visit her brother in the Veterans hospital. On the way home 
I began having contractions. Later in the evening my husband
and both his mom and dad took me to 
William Booth Memorial Hospital to await the birth of my first
son. 
Mom and Dad had a grandson in Japan, but they hadn't seen
him, so mine would be their first they would see and hold. My boy
entered this world July 2nd and I learned what loving someone was.

This morning, I got to wash my hair with my new Suave Men's shampoo and conditioner.  Was okay, I guess.
Put gas in my car this morning, at 3.09 a gallon,.  Went to the Grocery Outlet, bought some more BUBU LUBUs, and some more mini brownies too.  The brownies were for my Mom.  (We're having trouble getting my Mom to eat, but my Sister said my Mom likes sweets.)  Chipper and I went out to my Mom's.  Brought her the brownies, and some Boost I bought for her.  Visited a while, and then took Chipper home, and walked him here.

Do you think your mom is just plain tired?
Having done Elder care and being an elder myself, 
I fully realize that age does make abody grow weary.

She is tired, but not of living.  My Sister and I asked her.

Sheri stopped by for quarters last night, and she mentioned that she noticed a strange odor on my lower floor.  I haven't noticed it.  I emptied all my wastebaskets this morning, and I'm going to wash them out.  I should vacuum today, and wash the cover and stuff from my recliner.  I'll take another shower, in case it's me that smells.
Anyway, I should try to get Chipper out for a walk today too...

I spent the afternoon with some of our family
at the Birthday Son's.
Daughter had that same trouble with the car.
She now suspects vapor lock.
Also youngest sun's pickup gave him trouble.

I'm so blessed that he loves me.

Manager knows about it, and her boss noticed it the other day.  Might be the parrot across the hall.

Had a neighbor ask me this morning if I'm going to the celebration on the boardwalk tonight.  I don't like crowds, so probably not.  I'll be taking Chipper for a walk down there shortly though.

We did get about an inch the other day.  I have city water hauled in for I have a cistern and catch rain water.  Everyone else on my block have a well but I am NOT paying 15grand for one to be dug and those are 15 year quotes probably more now.  We buy water to drink and I go to daughter's for water for cooking and making coffee.  I was assured the city water is strong enough to mix with rain water but still do not want to drink it.  I raised 3 kids on boiled water but son does not want to drink it now for some reason although we wash roof before collecting the rain.  Anyway story of my 55 years in this house.

Good morning on this delightful Saturday the day before the Fourth of July.  No plans for me tomorrow except it is Sunday and I will be going to church.  I watch fireworks on my computer.

I was looking back on some of the posts recently and quoted a couple.  I also want to mention that I am sorry for Margie's sons' loss of their dad.  I reached out to her on facebook and I have prayed for the family.

I want to get new pics of the garden.  Son has really been revamping and I have helped with the weeding process.  We allowed one complete section to go dormant this year to rest the soil.  We are eating beans, cucumber and a few tomatoes now.

I'm having Tilapia with rice, red skin potatoes, and green beans for breakfast.
As for water, I'm good with our city water.  After living 20 years with yellow well water north of Holland, I can live with what we have here.  I don't drink much plain water.  Drink mostly Sparkling water.
Took Chipper for a walk on the riverfront.  Had to park by the library, as the riverfront parking is closed off, due to the tables set up, the food trucks, and all that stuff set up for tonight's fireworks.  I saw a lady roping off a bench this morning, and saw a blanket staked down in the grass (with screwdrivers as stakes).

Didn't go to the fireworks last night, but heard them till at least midnight.  Vlad woke me twice during the night.  Today, I'll be taking Dawn home after church, but I don't know if I'll go out to my Mom's or not.  I was there Thursday, and I'll be there Friday.  Today, I'm tired.

Glad, our city water tastes odd and has a slight 
smell of chlorine. We buy bottled water for drinking and cooking.
Laundry and showers are city water.
We're getting cukes, garlic, onions, green beans, no ripe tomatoes yet.
I lost a few filling from some teeth and find chewing some things not as easy

We didn't hear many fireworks which is fine with me. There may be some 
this evening.
LFF, I wonder if your complex has a dumpster which may be sending out
an unpleasant scent?

Dumpster is at the other end of the complex.
I don't have any teeth, and I have a little trouble with crunchy stuff like nuts.

Happy Cinco De Julio all!  I have no big plans yet, as the weather feels so stuffy due to the humidity, and the smoky skies, caused by the wildfires in Canada,

Oh dear, how do you manage without teeth/
I had bad teeth from my young years, had to
get a partial years ago and several fillings in Molars.
Now the fillings have come out and the teeth probably are 
not good enough to be refilled.
Life can be tough. 
I can abide almost anything except a toothache.

All I did today was watering the garden and visit the doggie.

I got tired of toothaches, fillings, crowns, and dental bills, so I just had me teeth pulled 20+ years ago.  Got dentures, but couldn't stand 'em.  I don't really miss them.

Chipper woke me to go outside at 2 a.m., then woke me again at 4, but not to go out.  He wanted up by me because a thunderstorm was rolling into our area.  He laid there with me for 2 and a half hours.
This morning, I'll be taking Dawn to breakfast at 10.
Sheri stopped over for quarters last night, and she also brought me the key to my apartment.  Said she felt uncomfortable having it.  I'd given her a key last year, when we first met, so she could check on Chipper if necessary, and also would have the key if I locked myself out.  She was going to bring me one to her apartment, but she never did.

I have known dogs who were terrified of thunder storms.

This Sheri obviously needs her space.
Can you leave a key with management? In case of emergency?

Regarding teeth, I would feel strange without any, but the cost is 
outrageous. I have known people who went without. 
I suppose one becomes accustomed to not having them.

I did one load of laundry, watered sections of the garden.
I visited my doggie friend. He was less active due to humidity.
I hope we get rain tomorrow, or tonight.

As for a key, management has a master key, but only from 9 to 5.  After hours, my neighbor, Larry has a key, Dawn has a key, and I have a key hidden outside.

The little pink guy, Vlad, woke me to go to the jim at 4:45 this morning.  Then, I took Chipper outside.  Came back in and checked my vitals, took my pills, and started my day on the computer. 
Will be taking my car in for an oil change this morning, might stop at Aldi's, Village Markup, and Family Dollar.  Hope to take Chipper for a walk too.

It is miserably hot today.

Son needed new shoes so I tagged along this morning with him to Nearly Perfect Shoes.  He found two pair.  

We bought groceries and went to the Bread Thrift store also.

I took a long  nap this afternoon.  Seems like that is all I get done anymore.
