Day of rest and I only puttered about in the gardens.
Pulling a weed here, snipping off a tomato sucker there.

I'll tell her, Joyous! Her birthday is Monday, and I haven't gotten her anything.
I'm about to take Chipper out for a walk.

Went to a bluegrass concert last night. Saw one person out of 80 or 90 wearing a mask. I didn't, but we were confined to little chalked in boxes that were 6 to 10 feet apart. Members of the same household could sit in the same box. I have a fever of 97.8 this morning.
Hoping to go see my Mom today.

OH, I LOVE Bluegrass, learned to love that music as a child.
I had hopes of being a Country music singer, never even put any effort into
it as I was terribly shy. I used to venture into the woods and pretend I was
in front of an audience.
My sisters and I did 3 part harmony.
Alas, my voice is now creaky and I don't even like hearing myself.

I understand that Gov. Whimpey is locking everything down again.

Today I did my usual Sunday load of laundry, took out the Red onions
and the final batch of garlic, Visited my canine buddy.

P.S. How is Mom today?

I didn't go see my Mom today. I had problems with Frequent Fecal Discharge (FFD).
I didn't want to risk a discharge halfway to Holland.
Stayed home pretty much all day. Except for taking Chipper every few hours, or more if he lets me know he wants to go out.

Oh, I sure understand.
Annoying, the bodily functions that rule our days,

Trying to get things caught up this morning, before I go for my pedicure in a bit.

I have never had one because I think my feet are ugly.

Today I took down the back bedroom drapes, washed and rehung them.
While they were washing, I scrubbed the kitchen flood (on hands and knees).
That does sound like bragging. Actually it's just how I have always done it.
Then I showered.

Today Gov. Witless smacks us down again. ALL stores will insist on masks.
No shopping for me and I need a Graduation card. The young man's party
has been cancelled due to people who are afraid of their own shadow. (SORRY, that is rude)

I don't particularly care for the pedicure. It's not done in some swanky salon. It's done by a podiatrist in his office. He doesn't even soak my feet or paint my toenails.
But it's covered by medicare because I'm diabetic. I also get a free pair of shoes once a year.
As for our illustrious Gov. Witless, I have masks I made from Swiffer sheets, and hair ties.
Now, since today is her birthday, Dawn wants me to take her to the casino.

Swiffer sheets? Those are sheets you put in the dryer with laundry?
Does the scent bother you? Truthfully LFF, I believe in Constitutional rights,
and I believe I have the right to refuse to wear a mask as long as I avoid
people. Just my cantankerous opinion.
I hope Dawn wins Big time!

Swiffer sheets are the pads that go on the bottom of a swiffer duster. The ones I use are unscented. We don't wear our masks when we go for a walk. Chipper doesn't like his at all! In stores and such, we wear masks. I got gas today. Pumped and paid at the pump- no mask. Dawn went inside for fountain drinks- mask required.
Today, I took Dawn to the casino for her birthday. Masks were required all the time we were in there (except for when drinking our beverages.).

OH Drat! Why did I have to be told what Swiffer sheets are?
I have used them many times when I was still doing Home Health Care.
Not my worst screw-up. Yesterday we were sitting on the porch glider.
Along comes a pickup truck, driven by a female my daughter's age,
a female I have known since my kids were in their teens. She stopped.
I wanted to introduce her to my mate. I drew a complete blank! Thankfully,
as she drove away, I said, "See ya, Sandy!" Does that ever happen to you?
(DO NOT say, "No, I don't even know Sandy!)

Happens to me. I usually just ask who are you?

I didn't realize how I bop to the music playing in my head till Dawn and I went to a restaurant today, and were waiting to be seated. A lady who was leaving said "I want some of what he's taken!" (referring to me). Maybe it's the vitamin M that I take for mood and my mental state.

LOL, I have, in the past, asked what a person's name is
and admitted that I have forgotten, but I see Sandy often
when she visits a friend in our trailer park. I seriously
would have been embarrassed.

Because you attended a Bluegrass festival,
I want you to hear this family play. I can't recall their name
just now. When I find it, I will post it. Five of the sons play fiddles.

The official tally in Michigan is 70,306 cases of the COVID 19 strain of corona virus, with 335 in Allegan County, where I reside.
Today, I have to make an appointment to go into the office here, and sign a new annual lease, in which my rent will increase by $30 a month. I will be wearing a mask for that meeting.
I plan on taking a shower, taking Dawn to the bank, walking Chipper, and maybe doing a little grocery shopping. A mask is required in the store.

We have to wear a mask everywhere we go now.

Daughter got me some very comfortable ones at Target last week. You can wash them.

They come 2 to a package and costs $4 a package.

I'm still using Swiffer sheet masks. Wore one on our walk with Chipper today, albeit on my chin because we were outdoors, and not near people., but I had to pull the mask up when we went to the hardware and grocery stores.

LFF, the "Orange Blossom Special" I listened to must
have been an older version. It was black and white,
and had 5 young boys up front. I'll try to find it.

I did garden work, washed the whites, showered,
visited my doggie. I was late getting there due to a lengthy
phone call from my sister. Little Chuckie was chomping at the bit.

Driving to Brighton again today for another PTNS procedure. Hope it starts helping her soon. I'll be leaving in a little over an hour.

I did very little today due to rain. I did drive to the mailbox to drop in a contribution to our President's campaign. He gives so much, I feel I must give the little I can.
I listened to a video explaining the COVID-19 connection to the end times. The man talks very fast, but he sure makes sense. That's why I will not be allowing them to vaccinate me.

Had a 2 and a half hour drive in drizzling rain to Brighton this morning, about a half hour treatment there for Dawn, and a wait for me. Then, a 2 hour drive back to Wayland, where we stopped for a half our lunch. Then 40 minutes home to Chipper, and now, I'm almost caught up on my emails.

Yesterday was my husband John's 5 year anniversary of having heart surgery. So ordered him a cake to celebrate his heart anniversary. I'm happy and blessed still to have him around even if he does drive me crazy once in a while. Here's the picture of the cake:

Today, I hope to go see my Mom, and make faces at her through the window. I'll bring my whiteboard along with me so we can 'talk'. We hope to bring her home in 2 weeks. After I see my Mom, I hope to go over to ABC Warehouse, and get a microwave for her. Other than that, I have no plans for the day.

Well, Joyous. My Mom opened the window so we could talk. I had to remind her to close it before I left. She did tell a close CNA that she'll be leaving, and the CNA cried.

Talkin' triple digit heat indexes here today. Good day to stay inside. My Sister picked up some burgers for us at Sam's Club yesterday, so she and her Husband will be bringing them out today- Nice little drive for them.

LFF, your Mom must be a treasure.
Having spent years as a Home Health Care worker,
I fully understand the CNA becoming attached to her.

Staying inside with AC makes total sense. I won't be
doing anything after walking the garden. Maybe seeing
my little canine buddy.

Dawn had me take her to E.R. this morning for her pain and anxiety. Too her there at about 10:30. Left her there after she got checked in, took Chipper for an hour walk on the boardwalk, checked on Dawn, and was told she may be there awhile, so I brought Chipper home. Dawn can call me when she's ready.

Possible thunderstorms here today, but I need to go out to my Sister's with Chipper. Need to pay her for the burgers she picked up for me.Have to get away from Dawn for a bit. She's so depressing, as she keeps crying and sobbing to me, and it's hard to understand her through her sobs.

Dawn's trying to get an appointment with a doctor who will send her to a psychiatric facility, and I have to deal with it. Seems we had this a couple of years ago.
Glad's computer is on the fritz, so she warned she might not be here for a few days.

I;m waiting for my firstborn to call. He has medication to be picked up
and his lady's car is leaking coolant, too much to drive that far.
I recall my mother in law coming to my rescue many times.

I dreaded President Trump's interview with Chris Wallace because
Chris appears to dislike our President. However, it went much better than anticipated.

I hadn't even had breakfast yet, when Dawn decided she wanted to get a referral to Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. She got one from the Physician's Assistant at her doctor's, so I had to take Dawn to Grand Rapids. We'd done this last October, so I knew exactly how to get there. Was there for four hours getting her checked in. Now we'll see what happens.

Time here is 3:30 in the morning. I'm up because Chipper got me up to go outside and pee. His schedule is probably out of whack because Dawn isn't here. I hope he gets back in whack soon. I think I'll go back to bed for a couple of hours, then maybe take Chipper for a walk downtown, before coming home and making some French Toast for breakfast.

So Dawn makes these decisions herself?
With the medical approval, I assume.
I hope they are able to get her emotions back on an even keel.

I messed about outdoors, as usual, set out a new tomato plant,
which I had rooted from a sucker cut from another plant. Set out
Marigolds beside it. I'm hoping it will grow a few tomatoes before frost.
A few other things like picking lettuce, kale, mint, a cucumber, for
today's lunch salad. The salad also had roasted chicken pieces, boiled
egg, canned tomato chunks, ground walnuts, Hemp seed. Yummy.
I will soon see my canine friend.

I think I will put forth effort into curbing my anger at
those who create problems in an otherwise peaceful
country. I hope to stop criticizing gullible people, those
who believe every story invented by the enemy who are
intent on taking down our country.
I;m hoping I can stop judging and let the Creator rule.
After all, I have only to answer for my self.

Dawn admitted herself. She called today. Said the psychiatrist took her off some meds, put her on another. She did better last night, and she sounded good on the phone. She only had a few minutes to talk, and may call tonight.
I'm cleaning the apartment today, put new sheets on Dawn's bed, and made that up for her. Made some French Toast this morning, and will make a burger for Chipper tonight.

Dawn didn't call last night. That's fine. I know she's somewhere safe. Took Chipper downtown for a little walk this morning. Stopped at Speedway for a Dew, and now I'm home, thinking about making French toast again. Have no other plans for today.

Today I washed my bedding, showered,
watered some plants in the garden.
A fruit smoothie for breakfast, and coffee, of course.
Lunch was a new soup made by my housemate,
Black beans, brown rice, corn, tomatoes (I think)
Vidalia onion and sour cream, added at the table.
I think it had some other stuff, but I know it was very tasty.
Also fresh yellow squash and zucchini, thick slices, coated and fried.
Really good. Coffee now and later, ice cream. After I see Little Chuckie.

Just got off the phone with Dawn. She had a bad morning, with crying and such. But she said she's doing better now. Said they don't know how long she'll be there.
