LFF, you're quite the comic/
This has been a lovely day.
I'm listening to our REAL President as he addresses CPAC.
It's so good to hear his voice again.

(I did visit my little friend. I also did two loads of laundry.)

I am watching the delay of our President a CPAC.....yes good to hear his voice!

Glad, I was so happy to see him, to hear his encouraging words.
I really liked the people saying, "I love you!" after he finished. 
Everything he said was truth.

Visited my Mom today.  She had a $10 Amazon card from our health insurance for getting her flu shot, and she needs more Boost Nutritional drink, so I took her card home with me, and ordered her a case of Boost, using her card to get $10 off.  Didn't know if her card would work on my order, but I guess the cards are not member specific.

My little pink guy woke me at3 this morning,Then Chipper had me up at 6. Might take a nap later. The weather is nothing to write home about, and I have no big plans today.

LFF, Blue Cross sent a card offering $10.00 if I get the Flu shot.
$25.00 if I see my Primary physician. $15.00 if I do some type
Wellness thing. I have spent enough time with doctors the past
month. I will be seeing the Cardiologist later this month. Enough.
I hope her card works for you.

I washed the dishtowels this morning.
I know I must have done something else,
but aside from eating lunch ?
I will soon be visiting the wee dog.

Worked fine, Joyous.  Must be a new medicare thing.
I sometimes forget what I've done too.

Good afternoon all. Sorry I haven't been around of lately. Happy it's March already. All that darn snow we had and the wind chills are now gone. Spring and John's birthday in 20 days. Happy Spring is coming.

Dawn should be calling me soon to pick her up at her doctor's appointment.  I'll take Chipper along.  Take him for a walk.

Today is my only daughter's birthday. She was easier than any of her brothers.
I barely made it into delivery.

I saw this after and will tell her tomorrow.
A beautiful day, but cold. I wore a long, down-filled coat
and I still felt cold. Little Chuckie's owner (HA), Chuck
met us at Huroc Park and he fished while we watched and chatted.
My Gr.son Jimmy (Daughter's son) baked an apple pie for her B.day.
He had never attempted baking a pie and it turned out great.

I did steal time to play with my LIttle Chuckie.

Sounds like a good day for you, Joyous.  Was nice here.  Won't be long and people will quit saying things about my wearing jogging shorts (I did wear long pants one day this winter.).
Picked up Dawn from her appointment this morning, took her to a restaurant to have lunch with the girls.  Her friend brought her to my place, and I took Dawn home from there, then dropped off her C-PAP machine at AirLink for her.  Took Chipper for a good walk today, vacuumed my living room.  That's about it for me.  Time to turn in here.  Good night.

I should go to the credit union in Grandville today to straighten them out, but maybe tomorrow.  My friend, Tim, is coming out this afternoon.  I don't feel like doing much at all this morning...

Today has been a beautiful day. I checked the Asparagus 
area across the street. Not a sign of any yet. Meijer has
it on sale, very good.
I did the white laundry today. DTE offered lower rates if we
use appliances which use heat, dryer, furnace blower I suppose, 
so I'm getting the laundry done before noon. I usually do anyway.

I don't like being told when I can use my air conditioning, so I didn't go that way.

LFF, I understood it was only appliances which use or create heat?
Am I mistaken?

I'm pretty sure it's a/c too.

What I was thinking of was our provider's peak cycling program.  Says
With Critical Peak Pricing, you receive a discounted rate (33% lower) for 19 hours per day, and weekends, during the months of June – September. The more you shift your weekday energy use away from 2-7 p.m., the more you'll save.
In exchange, we ask you to reduce your energy use up to 14 times from June – September. These are typically hot summer days when energy use is at its highest due to air conditioning. If you are unable to reduce your energy use, a charge of $1.00 per kWh will be applied to your bill.

Here we go.  What shall I do today?  Went out for supper last night, with my friend Tim, who I,ve known for 48 years.  Met him at college registration in the fall of '71.  After 2 years, he moved to another college, graduated there, went on in his medical career in Kalamazoo, MI, Atlanta, GA, and South Bend IN.  I visited all 3 places over the years, but had my home here in Michigan.  Lived here all my life- a glutton for punishment I guess.
Today, I might go to the credit Union in Grandville.  I don't know yet.

LFF nice to see old friends.  I keep up with some of my childhood friends through facebook.  Been years since I have been to Spartanburg, SC.  Every once in a while I will check out the news from the WSPA Spartanburg.

I spent a lot of my day cleaning out my closet.....I have about 7 medium size boxes of clothes, shoes and purses to take to the local Teen Challenge Thrift Store.....headed there soon  Proud of my clean closet.  

Tomorrow I hope to clean up my high rise garden and prepare it for planting.  Getting close to that time of year soon.  I am happy about that.

LFF, I concede. Yes, AC is included. I am not the one who pays the bills
here, so I merely guess at such things. I contribute half and pay for my 
own expenses. We made an agreement upon deciding to be housemates
that we would go halves and that's what we do. I have access to the bills
but 37 years of equal bill paying gives a person confidence.

Almost all the friends from my childhood are either gone or we lost track
of each other. I have spent more of my years in Michigan than I did in South
Carolina. The older family members are gone both here and S.C. have died.
Only the younger ones remain.

Glad, I have a niece in Simpsonville, which is near Spartanburg.
Regarding closet clearing, I made a slight effort at it. I tend to take a second
look and find, "I really like that top, those shoes, etc, and back in the closet."
Almost all my clothes are from Salvation Army and second hand.
Yes to being SO ready for seed planting. I still think you should join 
"Garden Stew" , I get some good advice there.

I made Goulash this morning, for my son who lives alone. It seems too much
sauce and not enough meat to me.

The sun is shining, but still cold.

I like a lot of pasta in my goulash.

Me too, LFF. Alas, I added too much sauce. More meat and pasta can be added later.

The month is Marching right along- March 5 today.  Our restaurants are allowed to have patrons at 50% of their capacity here, starting today.  Of course, mask, shirt, and shoes are still required.  Will take Chipper for a walk today, play 'Lone Ranger' with money today ( go to the bank, to the bank, to the bank bank bank)- have no other big plans.

Indeed March has begun.

This afternoon I will visit my little friend.

Sad, but expected news that another cousin has left this life.
Arnold was a son of the eldest sister of my  daddy. 
He was the fifth child of seven.
A veteran of the Army.
I believe his death leaves me as the oldest among the cousins.
Jeminy Crickets! I recall when I was lost somewhere in the middle of
our huge family!

We have to count our blessings, Joyous.  You have my condolences.

LFF, Arnold hasn't been well for quite some time.
I believe there comes a time to move on. I find
I am becoming more accepting of the next phase
of eternity. Not anxious mind you, just more understanding.

I feel the same way, Joyous, but still express condolences.

March 6 today for us.  Inebriated people call it Marsh 6.  Dawn will be going to a meeting and lunch.  Then, she'll be coming here, we'll go to Village Markup for hamburger, and then Dawn is going to make some Meat Loaf for me.  No other big plans here today.

I had planned to get slightly "Inebriated" for St. Patrick's Day".
However, I learned that alcohol and my new medication are
not to be consumed together. If you could have seen me,
last St. Patrick's Day, trying to get to my feet, after one
and a half bottles of Killian's Red, you might understand
why my children wished it could be repeated.
I visited the little doggie. He makes me sad with his own
sadness at my leaving.

Alcohol does'nt mix well with any meds.  I don't drink any of it. Happy you get to see that little dog.

LFF, the only time I drink is St. Paddy's Day and that is in remembrance
of my dear Mom in law. She always celebrated that day and for years 
with me and my housemate, Ray. Although her son and I were divorced,
she loved being with us. I remained friends with my ex and his family.

Good memories.

They say 10% of Americans are fully vaccinated.  I'm in the 10%.
Dawn was over last night.  She made meat loaf.  Chipper LOVED it.  Yes.  I enjoyed it too.
Today, I did a load of laundry. (Had to use the washer at the other end of the building.)  Sat out on Penny's patio while it was in the washer.  She has lots of bird feeders and such.  I watched 6 squirrels, 1 Blue Jay, and 2 Nuthatches, as they jumped on the various trees, on the ground, and from one feeder to another.  One of the Grey squirrels poked his head out of one of the feeders, that's built like a house, and he just stared at me for the longest time (as Billy Joel would sing).  When I take Dawn home, I might stop at walmart, and get some sparkling water.

was probably wondering what you were doing in his
neck of the woods.
We had a laundry room for the trailer park. There is now
a lock on the door. It seems some park residents frequently
carried water from there for use in their trailer. Also some
non-resident slept in the laundry room. Poor soul. I wonder
where he/she sleeps now.
I did two loads of laundry today. I visited the wee dog. He
was overjoyed and showed his happiness by leaving paw 
prints all over my clean jeans. Awww, bless him.

The washer across the hall from me has a jammed quarter receptacle, so until that gets fixed, we have to use another washer.  We had trouble last year with people from the apartment complex down the road because they put a card scan lock on their laundry facilities.

I'm so thankful that we have both a washer and dryer.
My kids who live here in this trailer park must go to a laundromat.

With the few tings I wash, maybe a load every 2 weeks, I figure it's cheaper to use the washer and dryer here at our complex.  $1.75 for washing a load, and $1.25 to dry.

Took Chipper out at 5:30 this morning.  Came back in and dozed till 8.  Nice day out there, so I think I'll empty my storage closet, maybe move the shelves around, get rid of some stuff, and put the other stuff back in.  Haven't heard from Sheri, as to how she liked the meat loaf I brought up to her new apartment.

Isn't Sherri the one who says she will be there and doesn't show up?

Yes.  She's in the process of moving upstairs, so I thought I'd help her out.  She told me today that it was delicious!

Today I did very little inside. I visited Little Chuckie twice.
My son took the day for bike riding and fishing.
I also went to Metro PC (?) and bought a new cell phone.
My little flip cell phone died a natural death. It will take
me a few head-banging days to conquer the new one. I am
not a techie. One of the grandchildren will help me. I have
managed to charge it and make one call.

Such a beautiful day! I believe Spring is on it's way.

I'll be getting a smart phone in June.  My Sister is going to buy me one, and add mr to their plan.  I'll have to pay my monthly fee though.  You'll do fine, Joyous!
I rearranged my storage closet.  Got rid of some stuff.  Took Chipper for a walk.  That's about it.

Have a busy day planned.  Dawn should be here by 9:30 for her tele psychiatry appointment.  Then I'll take her to a doctor's appointment, wait for her, and then take her to a friend's house- older lady who lives in subsidized housing near here.  Then I'll be going out to my Mom's for a couple of hours.  Dawn will walk here after her visit, and I'll take her home from here.

I hope you and Dawn both enjoy this day. Chipper too.

I struggled with that phone. I managed to make one call
and addthe number as a contact. Promptly forgot HOW 
I added it to my contacts. 
I have no idea how I managed to set the blasted 
to blast music at 7:00 A.M.
I will take it to my gr.son and he can TRY to teach me.

WE did quite a bit of garden clean-up this morning, after
a visit to Lowes for garden soil and a packet of Spinach seed.
Now I will visit my little Chuckie!

My Mom's having a bad day, so I didn't go out there.  Hoping to go Friday.  Took Chipper for a productive walk.  How hard can it be to operate a smart phone?  I'll find out soon enough.

Stayed up till 11 last night.  Took Chipper out before bed.  He woke me at 5:23 from a dream about driving my car inside the Paw Paw Save a Lot to pick up corn for the deer.  Took Chipper out, then we came back in, and I dozed for another 2 hours.
Today, I might make pancake and eggs, to eat with the pure maple syrup that Sherri brought over the other day.  I might take Chipper out for a walk later.  Or I might take a nap later.  That's a nice thing about being retired.

I hope your mom's day got better as it wore on.

I planted spinach this morning.
Visited Little Chuckie.
Went with my daughter to visit my oldest son and his lady.
Back home, I visited Little Chuckie again.(My son was out on lake Erie fishing.)

Lake Erie?  Can you still just scoop up the floating fish with a net there?
