DAILY CHAT 2021

LFF, no there is nobody until someone knows how to fix a 1984 Ford.
She has tried three different mechanics/Auto shops. One man did 
do her brakes, which cost a small fortune, but brakes are important.
My first born is an ace mechanic, or was when he hadn't become a 
recluse. Her ex knows old cars as well, but he lives in Florida.
I told her they have until winter. Then I cannot be depended on 
because I do NOT drive on ice nor snow. The kids sometimes walk 
home but as long as I can, I will be there for them. They're good
people.
I weeded again this morning. I thought I am almost finished.
Then I remembered, the spaghetti squash patch! The Black Krim
tomato patch. Aye Yi Yi ! We simply created too much garden, but
sharing our abundance makes neighbors happy. 
I will now rest awhile. A nice shower and lunch and visiting with
fellow Shouters is restful.
I did chat with my little sister. A cousin died. He had been in a 
Veterans Hospital for quite a long time. 
2Anne, does your husband have friends he eats with? A men's group?
Do the two of you just have differing tastes? I'm not being nosy, just
interested in how others live. Ray and I rarely eat out, but he does visit 
his family and I visit mine. We are House-mates. I suppose it's
different for married people. For some people too much togetherness
becomes dull. For some couples their interests are in different areas.

Today, I picked up Michelle a little after 9, took her to dollar tree for stuff, to the Plainwell Hospital for a mammogram, which turned out good (during which Sheri called at 9:40 and asked where I was.  I told her I'd taken Michelle to an appointment, and she asked "Who's Michelle?"  I told her a friend of Dawn's.  Asked her what she needed, and she said she'd just talk to me later), then I took Michelle  to Plainwell florist for stuff,  Then, we went to breakfast at the Barb Wire Cafe.  When I got home, at 11:30, I tried calling Sheri, because her car was still home- got no answer.  Left a message saying I was home.  Hung around for an hour, her car is still here, so I called again- no answer, so I'm going to take Chipper downtown for a walk.

Busy day, LFF !

After I took Chipper for a walk, got home and Sheri's car was gone, so she was home when I called earlier...

What does that tell you, LFF ?

LFF, nothing in chat from you today?

Today instead of weeding, I watered quite a few plants.
Ray mowed part of the lawn and I used the clippings as
mulch around my sweet potato plants and two tomato plants.
I visited my doggie friend, took Jimmy to his job, will pick
him up about 10:00 P.M.
It has been hot and humid making me very tired. A shower
put me back in a happier mood.

I've been busy too.  Picked up Michelle at 8:40, took her to the bank, to the florist, and home by 10:00, so she could meet with her landlord.  Then I went home, picked up Chipper, took him for a walk, went to my doctor's appointment, stopped by the hardware store for a clamp, and at Village Markup for diet Pepsi, Pringles, and ice pops, now that I have a freezer where I can keep them.
Yesterday, as Michelle and I had breakfast, after her appointment, I mentioned to her that Sheri had called while I was waiting at the hospital.  Michelle asked what she wanted, and I told her Sheri didn't say, and we'd talk later.  Well, today, I saw Sheri before I left to pick up Michelle.  Said she'd had a bad headache yesterday, and needed some tylenol, so I guess she went out and got some.  Then, when I picked up Michelle today, I told her what Sheri had wanted.

Your day was busy it seems.
 I guess Sheri never got around to the talk.

Having the freezer should allow you to make 
less shopping trips and get more on one trip.

Well, I'm back.  Why do these things always happen on a Friday afternoon, when you can't do anything till Monday?
What 'thing'?  Okay.  A couple of weeks ago, I paid 4 bills for Michelle, $636 with my credit card.  The transactions all went through.  A week later, I got a call from First Bankcard, saying a 'level 3' charge had been made on my card.That's all the woman said.  She didn't give an amount or payee, so I told her I didn't make it.  Stupid me, I didn't ask  the amount, payee, or even what a 'level 3' was.  She asked about the $467 payment to Rent-a-Center, and I verified that I'd made that one.  The other bills were smaller.  The lady who'd called me said she'd close the account, and issue me a new card.  I told Michelle that, and said I hope it wasn't one of those bills I'd paid.
Yesterday afternoon, Michelle's walmart account was  closed due to a fraudulent claim, and Michelle was on the phone for 3 hours with someone, probably from overseas, who she could barely understand.  I don't know if that's taken care of yet.  The bill was $136, and she'll take care of that.  Since she'd already paid me back for those bills I'd paid, I told her to take that off the $210 she owes me for other stuff I'd paid after the 636, which she'd already repaid me for.
She needed groceries this morning, so I took her to Meijer and got her about $50 dollar's worth.  That's the mess I made.

LORD, have mercy! What next with you?
I just pray you don't get involved in a scam.
Perhaps you need to educate this lady on scam
phone calls?
Are you saying you gave her use of your bank card?

No and no.  She's a pretty smart cookie, and I was right there when we used my card to pay bills, which she pays me back for, and the 'fraudulant' charge was not fraudulant.  My card company flagged it as fraudulant.

Well, here we are on August 22, 2021.  We have a month left till Autumn, at least on the calendar.  Chipper pawed at me to get up and take him out at 4:30 this morning.  Made some French Toast this morning, and will be jumping in the shower shortly.  I plan on going out to my Mom's later today.  Will take Chipper with me.  No other plans made for me yet.

a shower makes life more (bare)_able. It's rather
miserable here.
Fortunately your vehicle has AC. 
Mine is only cooled by opening windows, so I stay
home a lot.
I did two loads of laundry today. One being the dish towels.
Watered a lot of the gardens. Showered, took Maggie
to her job, visited Little Chuckie. He was ready to go inside when I asked.
Now I'm finishing my lunch of cucumber salad and pizza sandwich.
I'm chillin until time to take Jimmy to Meijer to his job.

I like that my bank questions any suspicious action 
with my account.

I bank with Huntington, and they do that too.  My credit card, however, is with First National of Omaha.
Will be going to the podiatrist in a few minutes.  Then, will go out to Plainwell again.  Have a good day all!

My bank refunded me when I had my card and pin stolen at the supermarket. It was £1400 so I was lucky. It was a gang of Roumanians. They got my pin we think electronically and then followed me to my car and asked for directions with a map. During the distraction they stole my card and headed to a store and bought an expensive cell phone. We got the thief on cctv but the police think he just flew here to steal. Good thing there was not more money in the account. This happened last year and I was surprised the bank refunded.

I checked my credit card this morning.  There were 3 charges for $63 for Chipper's burgers.  I'd only made one.  Called the card company, and there was a tiny negative sign on one of them that I didn't notice at first.  First one had rejected my signature (one of these where you sign with your finger)  Second one backed that one out. Third one took, so I'm okay.  Lady on the phone appreciated that I checked my charges, and called about it.

Indeed, when a charge is questionable
best to settle the doubt.

Mornin' all!  I'll be returning my shoes to the podiatrist again this morning.  Can't wear them if they hurt my feet.  Then I hope to get Chipper out for a walk before the heat of the day.

I'm sorry!
When I was cat sitting, I walked across the bedroom in the dark,
bashed my baby toe into the cat's perch, a thing Baby climbs on.
It has just now stopped hurting. I wore my Toe socks to lessen 
the tenderness. Toe socks separate the toes.

We just got a lovely rain.

Sorry to hear that, Joyous.  I hope you'll be okay. 
Raining here too.  I took Chipper out before the rain started.

Took Chipper out at 11:30 last night, when the rain slowed a bit.  He woke me again at 2:30 to go out again.  Stayed up, took my pills, my readings, got caught up on my emails.  I may take a nap again before I take Chipper downtown, go to the bank, and go to the grocery outlet to see if they have frozen fish fillets.  Have a good day all!

We have had some rain off and on but it dries up really fast in the kind of heat we are experiencing.

Sorry Glad.  We got a couple of inches the other day, but our dry ground soaked it right up.

LFF, does it mess up your sleep pattern when you wake during 
the night? If I'm able to go right back to sleep, it's OK. Sometimes
I cannot return to sleep and the day is ruined, mostly.

WE watered early yesterday. Then a lovely rain came later.

The TV showed the flooding in Humphrey County, TN. So very
sad to see the chaos, the loss of lives, 21 I believe, the loss of
homes. How does a body just go on when all that's left is the
body? Faith, yes. But even that must be difficult.

I had a phone call saying I had done something
(I forget what I'm supposed to have done) and an
arrest warrant has been issued. I hung up and I figure
I better eat a lot, just in case.

Usually, I can go right back to sleep.  Chipper does too.  I've gotten arrest warrant calls too.   I usually say "Oh boy!  Free meals and housing!  Bring it on!"

Here we go with a Thursday.  Woke up at 4 this morning.  I'll be leaving in a little bit for Portage, where I hope to get some Diet Pepsi for Michelle.  She drinks a LOT of it!

Number 1: Never say "Yes" to one of those calls.
Number 2: Michelle SHOULD stop drinking diet Pepsi.
I had a niece who drank diet Pepsi all the time. She
gained weight massively and eventually died, 
probably her heart and from malnutrition. 
She weighed at least 400 lbs at the end of her life.
I tried so hard to get her to stop drinking that stuff.

If they ask "Is this Michael?", I reply "This is Michael.".  I do not say yes.
Before Michelle started drinking diet Pepsi, she was 100 pounds heavier.    I'll tell her about weight gain.

Here we go with a Friday again!  Oh what fun we'll have ( to use a favorite phrase of Dr. Seuss)!  I'll be taking a shower here shortly.  Then I'll be taking Michelle to Kalamazoo.  We might go to Olive Garden for lunch.
This morning, I had problems with my computer firing up.  Tried all sorts of stuff.  Then I tried prayer.  Isn't it amazing how we use prayer as a last resort?  God knows computers.

The Pepsi may not affect Michelle as it did my niece.
It cannot be good for her, but I'll try to mind my own business.

LOL I seem to have posted my CHAT on the Vitals page again.

LFF, I too am guilty of praying as a last resort.
After I cannot fix things myself. I must learn to put GOD first
and leave everything in those hands.

And I replied in the vitals page too, adding that my sugar will probably be up in the morning, to tie my reply into the vitals topic.
I had more blueberry crumble and ice cream tonight.
Thinking about your Daughter's car, it could be the loose nut behind the steering wheel...

Very funny, LFF. I spoke too soon.
She called to ask if I will take her to the laundromat tomorrow.
There are still things not fixed on the car and the mechanic can't
do everything at once.
Now they just called me from the laundromat. They took the chance
and drove there. Now I pray the car holds up until they get home.
You know how it is. You help Dawn when she needs you.
