Glad, what did you find at the Farmer's Market that you didn't grow in your garden? It's great that you went out with a friend. You deserve a break.
I stopped at a Farm Market near us today to buy my youngest son a beautiful tomato. He enjoys tomato sandwiches and all I have left are the green tomatoes.
Yesterday (I think) I picked kale for freezing. The kale usually returns in Spring, sometimes yes, sometimes not so much.
Today at Kroger I thought I gave the cashier a $20.00. I thought there should have been a $10,00
in my change, I politely told him I had given him a 20, He said no a 10. The lady behind me said, "You gave him a $10.00, I noticed. I thanked her for speaking up because I sure wouldn't want to make an issue of it and be mistaken.

I need to service the battery on the RAV, wash it, and mow the lawn today.

I was up early today to wash tomatoes and prepare them for making another batch of juice.

Today is my oldest son's  52 birthday.  His cake is made but not frosted yet.....(cooling right now)

To answer Nell's question:  I like to look at the farmers market but buy very little because I think they are too pricy.  I did buy 3 ears of fresh corn and 2 nice zucchini.  Neither my corn or zucchini squash did anything this year.  The corn was 75 cents an ear and the zucchini was $1 each but I wanted them.  I enjoyed the lunch yesterday.

I understand due to my own lackluster gardens this year. Farmers have expenses that I don't have and
the same weather conditions.
I'm so hoping frost holds off until our Butternut squash grows much more and the climber beans
put out more. The few I picked are very tasty and
very long. I haven't grown that type before, but I sure will next year, GOD willing.

We have an offer on the house, but haven't closed yet.

I just listened to Mike Lindell telling how he and a friend had stopped at a Hardee for food and three cars surrounded his car, cutting off any possibility of his exit. All three cars were occupied by men of the FBI. They had a warrant to take his cell phone. He called his lawyer and was told, "Mike, give them the phone.", which he did. Lindell doesn't use a computer. His three companies and his personal stuff are all on his cell phone. All this because he exposed Dominion Voting machines part in the rigged election of 2020.
I understand that the My Pillow employees also hold stock in the company. There should be a case on their behalf against the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Nell, interesting comments about the red heifers and Mike Lindell.  Sure is sad you can't go for a fast food and have to be surrounded by the FBI.    And Nell hope your squash makes it.  I planted a sprouting sweet potato in late July for our sweet potatoes did nothing.  The vine is beautiful now but I doubt it makes anything.  I did enjoy the beautiful vine.  Maybe next year.  I read where you can eat the leaves......have you?

Windwalker it is beautiful today but I am not in a good mood.  This is the 18th anniversary of hubby's death.  I am doing a lot of walking down memory lane today.  The years go by faster and faster and each anniversary I miss him more and more.   Did you get the yard mowed and the van washed yesterday?

Glad, you made my antenna perk up. I will definitely do some research on sweet potato vines being edible. I do know the groundhogs eat them and come back for more. We cut the bottom part of a white, 55 gallon, plastic drum off and use it for planting sweet potato. The vine is beautiful. I had to cover it with that material they use for veils to keep the groundhog from eating the vine. I can also water the plant right through the material. I just hope there are sweet potatoes growing below.
Regarding the Red Heifer, do any of you who do Bible study know what is supposed to happen when the perfect Red heifer is in Israel ? I recall it must be all red, not a hair of another color, no imperfections I think it says. I forget who I was listening to. He said Texas (?) is sending three red heifers to Israel.

Good afternoon all. Sorry for my delay in posting here. Just been taking it easy since I had my colonoscopy and scope done on the 15th of this month. Then of course my birthday was on Sept 21st. Now I'm a year older but sometimes not as wise as I use to be. Who knows , but I'm glad to be a live and well. Couldn't ask for anything in life but God is keeping me here for a reason.

I am so stressed with all this bankruptcy stuff.  Maybe things will get better.

LFF, honestly I'm not being nosey, just curious. Isn't bankruptcy necessary only when one owes lots of money and is being pursued? I'm puzzled.

Another birthday party for a grandkid today. It means I get to eat some good food and laugh at the kids antics.

We are kept sort of busy watching for some type of Bee which invades our trailer. Thankfully these bees are not aggressive, come one at a time and not often. I am not fond of killing them. If only they wouldn't enter my space. There is an entire outdoor world out there.
I visited the doggie early. He was a bit surprised and quite happy.

We are looking forward to going to the Workman's Club today for lunch.

I believe I hear rain falling on our metal roof. I sure hope it doesn't freeze.

I heard from my brother last evening that another cousin has died. She and I were rather close as girls.
There are few of us left. I know that happens as we age, but it feels lonesome.

So much cooler this morning at 56F and clear skies. I love a morning like this.

We had a nice day today.  I did work in the yard and also made a trip to Sams Club.  Busy day.

I cancelled my Sam's club membership.  I don't go there often enough to make it worth the membership fee, which increased just recently.

I enjoy drinking coffee outside on the deck and listen to the birds sing.

I think I'll mow the lawn for the last time this year. It is cooler now, and it's stopped growing, but is tall enough to mow.

We will mow leaves soon but grass not growing without the lack of rain.  I see where Daytona Beach could get 15 plus inches from the hurricane.

I pray for FL and the Carolinas.  Missouri is not expected to get rain for at least 2 more weeks.   Very dry.

I am off to grocery shop.  Will check back this afternoon.

I was with My Michelle from 3 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  We got a lot accomplished, till I asked her if she knew there was a scratch on her car. She freaked out, asking me why I'm always telling her bad things.  She pulled into a parking space, seething, till she composed herself a bit.  Then she drove me back to my car, and I could just tell, it was time for me to leave.  I went to Dawn's for 2 hours.  Then took Dawn to a meeting.  When I got home, Michelle texted me, apologizing for getting upset, and saying "It's just that I've worked so hard to get that car..."  Told her "I still love you.".She told me she had hoped I still did.  Told her I'd worried if she still loved me, to which she replied Always!

Today a load of washing in the morning and our afternoon walk in the afternoon.

I believe I have a photo of Debtor's prison in Edinburgh, Scotland. A cage with no roof.

I'm sure it's the total bill. but it shows that insurance paid 38,000, so I'm leaving here shortly for Plainwell.  We'll look it over more closely.

I don't know about a CAB- like thing here.  Michelle gets up really early.  We can get a lot done early in the morning.
