No worries there.
Today, I plan on working on my apartment again.
Have put my old computer up on the shelf.  Now I'm using only the new laptop.

I'm spending quite a bit of time in the gardens now.
Of course an hour a day with the little canine friend.
He appreciates me as much as I appreciate him.

Been a cloudy and stormy day so far today.  Not heavy rain but lots of thunder.

I too have been spending lots of time in the garden.  I took a new pic of the greenstalk this morning will try to get it posted.  We will be eating lettuce this week.   I did pick a few leaves to add to store bought lettuce a few days ago.  Very tender.

Thunderboomers this morning here.  Left for Sheri's store at 10:30.  Turned out to be a sunny day there, with lots of customers.

Got home from Sheri,s store at about 6 last night.   She had scratched her eye or something the night before, so she was in pain, and sat on the couch with her eyes closed and wearing sunglasses much of the day.  I sat on the chair behind the cash register, greeting people and talking with them.  If people had a question about the merchandise, or made a purchase, Sheri had to get up and help them.  It worked out well though, and we closed a bit early, stopping on the way home to get a burger and fries, as she'd had a taste for that all day.  We're on a diet together, and we hadn't eaten all day, as this once a week MounJaro is curbing our appetite.
Today, we'll see how her eye is.  We have to take my Gracie and her Princeton to the vet at 8 this morning.  We'll see if Sheri goes to work today, and if I go with her.  She was supposed to have some ointment delivered last night for her eye.

Ouch, those eye scratches can really hurt. Best of luck at the Vet. I'm just enjoying a nice warm morning.

Mornin' Windwalker, and everyone else!  Cost me $362 at the vet yesterday.  Didn't know Gracie was going to cost me so much!  But she's worth it.
Have a followup appointment at the surgeon's this morning.

1: Answer to the lady holding my dog who lives at my son's home.
That is me a few years ago. My hair is shorter now. I love that dog.
The past few days have been wonderful. My two remaining siblings/
brothers surprised me by driving up from South Carolina for a few days.
We miss our brothers and sisters who have left this world. Plus Hilda,
wife of youngest brother died and the other brother's wife is in a facility 
for people with dementia, rocking his world. They left for S.C. this A.M.

LFF, I hope Sheri's eye heals quickly.

I remember about 6  months ago I scratched my eye with my fingernail.  That was so painful.

Today, I plan on going to Sheri's store.  She's got about 8 boxes of new stuff that has to be sorted and priced, plus she'll probably get a lot of customers today, as the weather is nice!

A late start to my day, but that's okay since I have the rest of the day to fix it.

Hello from sunny Spain it’s 82F here and lovely. We’ve been here a week and are having a lovely time. Yesterday my husband took our 18 year old Chevy in for its annual test and it passed so we are very pleased. It’s a good little runner and when we are not here it’s small enough to go in our drive. It needs new tires and a paint job but otherwise it’s fine.

Hope Sheri’s eye has healed LFF and glad you are mobile and going to help Sheri at her store. Nell great you had family come over, long drive for them.

Today I did more garden work, took my old wagon to have
the exhaust system repaired to the tune of $260.00.
Today has been lovely.

Thanks nell.  Sheri had a lot of product come in.  I took the clothing and purses out of the boxes, then took them out of their individual Sealed plastic bags, and separated them,so Sheri can look up their sku's and prices, Print price tags for them all, then display them in the store.

Wow, sounds like Sheri has a lot to do at times. I don't know if I'd have the patience to do all that anymore.

Guess I'll be going to Sheri's store again.  She'd told me last night that she didn't want me to go in today because it was going to be a long day, at least till 5.
She changed her mind after thinking about it- called me this morning and asked if I could go with her...

Worked till 5 yesterday.  Sheri is paying me with store credit, not that I wanted it.  Told her she doesn't have to pay me anything.  I'm happy to help.
I've gotten two air fresheners, a a papaya bath sponge, and she's ordered me a new wallet.  So far, Sheri wants me to stay home today.

LFF I think you are an ok person for helping!  Sometimes money is not what is needed but sometimes it is.

I know, but Sheri is only the store manager, so she has to account for everything to the owner.

Just my opinion, LFF.
In this case, I honestly believe the work/favor
you're doing for Sheri is beneficial to both of you.
Sheri does quite a bit for you and helping out at
the store fills your day without being bored. I
have never felt that she would take unfair advantage of you.

Thank you nell.  I don't think Sheri would take advantage of me either.  Last night, after we gave Gracie her ear drops, Sheri told me today will be a long, busy day, and that I don't need to come in, but I told her that if she changes her mind, to let me know,
I spent most of the day yesterday, working on my sound bar, that I can't get to work.  I had a new air conditioner installed.  One fan speed, and the timer doesn;t seem to work, but I'm not going to complain.  Cools nicely, cycles to maintain temperature, and didn't cost me anything.

Glad you got an AC, as long as they put out cool air, is all I care about. Nothing planned today. A bit warm for my liking this morning, But, that is just the way the world works. Michelle has something she is going to do, so I'll have the house to myself.

Getting a late start to my Saturday.

Going to fry chicken for lunch.   Have the legs thawing out in water.

Nothing else planned for today.  Just a lazy relaxing day.

The mention of A/C.......well I had to turn mine on last evening.  Hated to but it was time.  Will have it serviced soon.  $100 just to come out for 15 minuets.  Nothing is inexpensive anymore so you are lucky LFF!

Received a survey about the installation last night.
I told them  had to stick towels on one side of it, the timer doesn't work, and the fan only works on high speed, but it cycles and cools.  That's what's important.

We are blessed to have AC. Who else recalls only having
a ceiling fan or a Box fan sitting in a window with the 
bottom sash pulled down on the fan to keep it from falling 
out on the floor?
Or using folded newspaper to create a fan, wetting a cloth
in cold water and folding it across the back of one's neck?

OH, LFF your dad grew asparagus so maybe you know.
Are we supposed to feed the asparagus bed? If yes, 
when and what? This small bed has been years in the 
being enough to eat any of it. This year there are ten
or twelve stalks, one of which is big enough to eat.

Are they usually so long in growing?  Our Asparagus patch had at least 300 stalks in it.  Had to walk carefully when we broke off the stalks for harvesting.  My Dad would fertilize it with a triple 12 fertilizer.

Yesterday, I had to give Gracie her eardrops, as Sheri must have forgotten about helping me.  We'll see if she forgot I was going to be  going to the store with her today....

Guess I won't be going to Sheri's store again today,  I called her today, and she has so much work to do, she stayed there last night, rather than make the 45 minute drive home, and the same drive this morning,

I slept in this fine morning. Now I'm up and starting the day.

I went to Home Depot this morning to get new locks and keys for Sheri's store.  I'll be going there this morning, and Sheri warned me it might be a loong day.

Picked rhubarb today.  Going to make jam tomorrow.

It was a long day.  Got home from the store at 11 p.m.

Yes, I was warned.  But I think we can take today off.  Sheri might go to clean her Son's house.  It's here in Allegan, so she can drive her car.  And hopefully, I can go to the post office and get some stamps.
