Were sales excellent? 
I'm open to a World Tour with a Rich man. 

I made $2 today, and spent 5.  My Mom didn't do much better.  My Sister sold about $70 worth.

May 2nd today!  We made it through the first without any major catastrophes.  Today looks like a good day for a garage sale.  We shall see...

Got the briars all pulled out of the Rose of Sharon trees at my Mom's yesterday.  My Sister felt bad because she cancelled the garage sale yesterday, and told me to take a day off.  Then I came over and worked anyway.  Now we have to get those 15 Rose of Sharon trees out of there, so we can get to those flowerless rose bushes, and dig them out.  Not today though.  I'd given my Mom some Crystal Light Lemon Iced Tea packets that my Mom's nurse used to make tea for her, and Mom liked it!  Wanted more.  My Sister emailed me to ask if I had more.  I found some, but they're dated 2015.  I'm sure that won't matter.  If anything, the age will make them stronger.  The tea is in foil packets.  I'm going to the store in Otsego today, where I bought them.  Will see if they have more.

Today I laundered my sheets, visited Little Chuckie,
took my gr.daughter to have an MRI, finished a series
of 26 episodes, "The Pallisers" , a British series .

My arms didn't bleed long.
Today I did laundry in the washer across the hall.  Sheri had a whole load of cheaning rags , towels and washcloths she'd dried, but forgotten them in the dryer and gone to work, so I took them out of the dryer, and while my clothes were drying, I folded up all her stuff, and placed it on top of the dryer.  I hope I didn't overstep my bounds.

Checked the dryer last night, and there was another load of clothes in there- dried.  The stuff I'd folded was still on top of the dryer, and I didn't need to use the machine, I left the clothes in there.
Had a good night's sleep last night.  Had to wake Chipper to go outside.
Dawn will be here around 9:30 for her telehealth appointment,  I volunteered to put the Microsoft Teams app on her phone, and a link to her 'mychart' site for her therapy session, but she said she'd rather have her session here on my computer.  Then, I'll take her to a meeting on the other side of Allegan.  Have no other big plans today.

Good morning!  Today is going to be busy.  Lots of cleaning to do from getting water pump and tank replaced.  Son worked from last Tuesday to Sunday afternoon on our water situation so yes we were without the use of water all that time.  I missed church on Sunday because of no way to take a shower and let me tell you I appreciated the shower when I got it!  

Plumbers just won't come and do residential jobs much anymore.  Son did a great job but he even admitted he was not experienced like a plumber.  I could have gotten a plumber to come out the middle of next week they all said (which would have been tomorrow). This was Friday morning when I called.....they all said if you had called earlier in the wee.k....anyway son had the pump and the tank installed but all the fittings leaked......and had to be redone.  I am just glad he was able to get it all done and like I said I appreciate water.  Sometimes we take so much for granted until we cannot have it for awhile.

Yesterday I went to the dermatologist and a number of places on both arms were frozen. None on the legs thank goodness.  Now it will be a year before I go back unless something develops.

Last night we had storms but all seems ok this morning.  No damage in my area just thunder and rain.   I know some places have had tornado weather the last few days.

btw......last Tuesday before son shut water off I filled every bucket, big pan, empty water jugs etc and Sunday we were down to about 3 gallons to use for flushing, hand washing and dish washing.  Was really a challenge!

We sure appreciate stuff when we don't have it!

Glad, isn't it a blessing that your son is capable of doing the plumbing!
A blessing that you could store enough water to see you through.
We keep at least a dozen gallons of distilled water for cooking, probably
at least 24 bottles of purified water for drinking. The barrels of rain water
could be used for flushing. As for bathing, it would probably be Wet wipes
or what we used to call, Sponge bathing, a pan of water and a wash cloth.

Today I did some digging around the bird bath flower bed. Visited Little Chuckie,
took daughter to get her cigarettes and coffee/her car is being a royal pain,
AGAIN!

The photo below is how I hope the Bird bath flower bed will soon look. I set out some of the same Buttercups around it today. The flowers came from my older sister's father in law's home several years ago.

Dawn bought me a new desk with a monitor under the glass writing surface.
Have to unhook the existing monitor, the printers, speakers, camera, modem, and I don't know what else, and set all that aside.  Then I have to rearrange my desks, remove the monitor stand, fit the new desk in, and hook everything back up, so I'm not sure when I'll get that all done.

LFF, I'm trying to picture the desk monitor.
Will you be online while setting this all up?

Today I visited Little Chuckie after doing a load
of white wash. I stopped as I walked home to 
chat with a neighbor. I heard all the  gossip and 
it makes me glad I lead a dull life.

I have the desk, computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, router, Alexa, and camera set up, and the printers positioned, but I have to set up the other peripherals yet.
Never did figure out what's app with the desk power strip.  Using my own now.

I have all my peripherals hooked up to my computer, but I need to pick up a couple clamps, so I can clamp the printer rack to my desk.  Then, I need to arrange and straighten up the mess I have in the bedroom. (I shoved stuff in there to make room for the new desk.)

Too complicated for my non-technical brain.
Did you consider asking Alexa ?
She often tells me, "I don't have the answer for that."

No.  I didn't ask Alexa, but it's working fine with my power strip, so I'll stay with that.
Took Chipper for a walk in the rain today, went to the hardware store, and drove out to the Schaendorf Cattle Farm.  (The office was closed.)

I keep forgetting a Mother's Day card to give to my Mom tomorrow, so I definitely have to get one today.  Will get one when I take Chipper for a walk today.  I wrapped her gift last night.  Made French Toast this morning.  Will empty the waste receptacle in the 'pet walk area' here at the apartments. (That's one of the unpaid services I perform here.)

My 3rd son,(4th child) and his wife took her mom and me
out to Kate's Kitchen for breakfast this morning. 
They said Sunday will be impossible to find a place not
crowded. I believe them. We had to wait outside for seats
today!

Thank you, Joyous!  My Mom doesn't want to go out anymore.  I'll go over there tomorrow, when I go to my Sister's for my TV.

My Sister and her husband are getting a new 65" TV today, so they asked me if I wanted their 50".  I told them yes, and I'll be going over to get that today.  They haven't told me what they want for it.
Since I'm there, I'll bring my Mom's card and gifts, as tomorrow is supposed to be wet and cold.

My Sister's old TV is 47 inches, rather than 50, and they gave it to me for free!  It's a 7 year old Samsung Smart TV that I don't use the smart stuff on yet, but I plugged in the HDMI cable from my modem, and my cable stations come in fine!  Their new TV is 65 inches.This one cost $993 in 2014.  That's about the price they paid for their new 65 inch.
Finally got my cable remote programmed to the TV, so I'm set to go.
Will take Dawn home this afternoon- no other big plans.

WE watch very little on the huge screen.
Huckabee on Saturday evening and 
Mark Levin on Sunday evening.
Anything else we watch on our own computers.
Ray has a Notebook too. I consider getting one,
just so I can watch or play games on the porch,
or anywhere I wish.
Today my daughter is supposed to take me to
visit my sons. If she opts out, it will be fine with me.
The weather is not inviting.

After taking Chipper out at 11 ( I'd already taken him at at 2a.m. and 7 too), I saw Sheri leaving with Princeton ( her dog).  I asked her if she wanted me to dry the clothes she'd left in the washer, as I wanted to wash a load.  She replied "Oh yes!  Please"
After I took Dawn home, at about 12:30, I took Chipper for a productive walk at the park in Otsego, then came home , and put Sheri's clothes in the dryer, mine in the washer.  When her clothes (actually her 8 year old Grandson's) were dry, I folded them as neatly as I could, and placed the on top of the dryer.
Now, I've dried my clothes, I'll fold them, and put them away.

Was pretty nice when I took Chipper out this morning.  Have no big plans yet today.  My  doctor wants me to get a Renal function test.  My Mom is in stage 3 kidney failure.  I wonder if that's hereditary.
Took a shower using Dial soap, before my Old Spice body wash.  Washed my hair too.  Then dried every fold om my body.  Boy do I smell better!  I looked up body odor on line this morning, and found it's causes, so I'm trying to improve the aroma surrounding me on a daily basis.  I'm not too pleased with the odorous excretions I've been experiencing as of late.    Maybe the sensitivity of my proboscis has increased, but Sheri did ask me, the other day, if I needed any body soaps or anything. ( Her store sells this kind of stuff.)

Took Chipper out at 5 this morning.  Had a blood test yesterday.  I passed the test on 11 items, but my BUN (blood urine nitrogen), and my creatinine (waste product of muscle wear and tear) were elevated a bit from my tests 6 months ago.  My doctor called and wants me to see a Kidney Specialist. 
Today, I'll be taking Chipper for a walk, but I don't have any other plans at this time.

I'm wondering if I set it up or the Cardiologist
does.

I meant to mention what a good neighbor you are.

I washed my outerwear today and visited Little Chuckie.
I opened my son's freezer and one piece of frozen fish
fell out. Fortunately it was wrapped because the little rascal 
grabbed it and ran. When I reached for it, he growled. 
I asked if he wanted me to spank him. I remembered my 
promise to never get mad at him again and spoke more gently to him,
asking if he wanted me to go home. He let me have the fish.
Oh how I love that little dog.

It rained all afternoon and it was cold here. 
I stayed home and visited some of the kids
yesterday. I may see the youngest yet tonight.

Speaking of my Mom, I'll be taking her to the cancer center tomorrow for her labs.
Speaking of Labs, the Doctor's office called today- want me to get a renal function test again.

Today, I'll be taking my Mom to the cancer center for blood tests.  I plan on stopping at Arby's to get her something to eat,  maybe stop by the Art Glass Alcove in Saugatuck, and then, hopefully get Chipper some burger patties at Schaendorf's here in Allegan.  I'll probably take Chipper for a walk after watching Let's Make A Deal.

I ended up buying Wendy's for my Mom yesterday, as that's what she wanted.  Got her home and set her up with the burger, Fries, and chocolate frosty.  Then, after she ate some of the fries and the whole burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and cheese (I ordered the burger without cheese), she wiped her mouth with a napkin, and knocked her frosty and fries on the floor.  I cleaned it up, and asked her if I could get her anything else.
After I left my Mom's, I went into Saugatuck, visited the Art Glass Alcove, the gift shop that Sheri manages (That's one of the reasons she doesn't have time for me.).  Bought myself sone charcoal soap and lotion.  I saw that they sold clothes there too, so I essentially offered to buy her something, so she'd have something to wear, so I could take her out to dinner.She told me she got store credits, so she could get things there, but that Chantel's, across the street, has stuff she didn't have in her store.  I'm thinking about getting her a gift Certificate from there, so she can pick out something she likes.

Sounds like a busy day, LFF.

I mostly did garden work. 
Planted two rows of Blue Lake bush beans.
Watered several rows of onions, beets, kale,
weeded the garlic.
Readied the three pots along the walk by the
porch. Set out Geraniums, (one in each pot)
and three smaller, companion plants in each
pot.
I visited Little Chuckie.
Later I took my grandson to his job at Meijer.
Daughter's car is in the shop, again!
Today was just a day when being alive is great.
A little Wren landed on our porch while we were
sitting on the glider. Apparently to get something
for nest building. Such a lovely gift!

I'd want to find out why your Daughter's car is in the shop so often...
I took Chipper for a walk today.  Picked up Dawn from her appointment, and took her home.  I'm sure I did other stuff, but I can't remember what.

LOL LFF, I'm relieved to know I am not
alone in forgetting what I did most of the day.

My daughter bought a Crown Victoria which had been sitting
in a garage for a few years. It looks really sharp and I'm the 
one who encouraged her to buy it. Very low mileage, but after
sitting in a garage a long time, lots of things are rotten, corroded,
just in need of replacing. Parts are not easy to find and are costly.
She always drove big cars and feels safer than in a smaller car.

I hope she got a good price on it, if it needs all this work done to it.

Have to leave shortly for my Sister's garage sale.  An all day thing, so I won't be here all day.  Have a good day all!

The Russian Kale which came back from last year's
had gone up to seed, so I took it out. The spinach I 
had thought a failure, it is very small, but I'm hoping.
Although spinach isn't a hot weather crop.

Sold a couple of pages of stuff today- mostly things like sheet sets for a dollar, jewelry for a quarter, towels for a dollar, shirts for a buck, lots of miscellaneous stuff.

Bet you are tired LFF!

Joyous I will get to pick lettuce tomorrow.....looking forward to that.  Tomatoes are starting to bloom and that is just fine with me!

Was up at 5.  Will be tomorrow.  Right now, Chipper wants to go out.

Got up at 4: 47 this morning, took Chipper out, and started my day.  Need to go to Douglas again today for Day 2 of this weekend's garage sale.  Weather sounds good, so it may be busy.  2 weeks ago, we did $397 in sales for the 3 day weekend..

Sheet sets would have sold to my daughter. Just
a few miles out of the way!

Glad, we are just beginning to set tomato plants out. 
One year the frost got them in early May, so we learned
a lesson. We have Compari tomato plants from slices of 
store bought . I grew some one year and they're very good.
WE're doing Black Krim and I'm trying Mortgage Lifter.
Lettuce is growing well. Lots of volunteer from last year's
seeds dropping on the ground. 
Today I will do very little.

I am cooking a pot of black beans from last year's garden along with the controversial green polk salad greens.  Not sure if it will be rice or fried potatoes as the side but will make corn bread since it is cool enough for the oven.   I think we are having blackberry winter right now for the berries are in full bloom right now.

Sounds good Joyous and Glad!  We did a lot of sitting and talking today.

Feels good to have the day to myself, after 3 full days of garage sale.  We sold maybe $400 worth, but got rid of a lot of 'stuff'.
Today, I'm taking it slow.  Took a shower, after which, I used my new deodorant stone:

LFF, It has been many years ago, but I think I used to use
a roll on deodorant which was maybe the same thing.

Today I pulled weeds, cut down the leaves of tulips, daffodils, 
bulb flowers. I was quite worn out, but after a shower and Tortellini soup,
I visited Little Chuckie and feel rested.

I just finished a cup of Mint tea , made from
freshly dried Mint, which grows in abundance
along Smith Creek, directly across the street.
I pick it, put it on paper towels in the rear window
of my car. It dries in one day and I have a jar 
filled for winter. I have quite a bit left from last summer's,
and Borage that I dried as well.
