Here we go again on a Monday morning!  I have a podiatrist appointment in an hour.  Other than that, no plans.  Chipper had me up at 3:17 this morning.  Put a wall clock in the jim, so I can see the time in there, to limit my reading.

LFF, I probably accidentally tapped twice on a number.
Worked fine today.
I did a bit of gardening today. Visited the wee doggie.
Took Grandson to work. Listened to my granddaughter's
side of a disagreement between her and her mama.
Later listened to daughter's side. I believe this COVID
and everything else going on on this earth is having
an ill effect on all of us. I just want us to all love one
another and forgive each other. Not one of us is perfect.
Surely not me! 

There was one Man who was perfect, and they crucified him.

Dawn just got here.  Hopefully the Microsoft Teams in my phone will work for her.  Then, after her meeting, I'll take her to Minnie's- a restaurant here in town, where she'll have lunch with the girls.  I'll take Chipper for a walk, and then pick up Dawn to take her home.  Maybe Michelle will need a ride home too! :)

Teams worked fine on my computer, and Dawn had her meeting with her therapist.  I walked Chipper outside, and when I returned, Dawn was done with her appointment.   Took Dawn to have lunch with the girls, and walked Chipper for almost an hour, then took Dawn to the pharmacy, to Rite-Aid, and home.  Picked up some KFC chicken for Chipper.
Today, I'll be taking Dawn to Zeeland to get her second vaccine.  Don't know what else.

LFF, I assume your neck of the woods didn't get
the 4 inches of snow that we were blessed with
overnight? If not, count yourselves lucky. 
I hope we didn't lose any plants with the 32 degree
temp. A nice bed of little lettuce may have been too tender
to withstand the cold and snow. I had scattered seed
sort of helter skelter and it was growing quite well.
I halfway planned to go to Discount tire to have my
tires checked. One tire appears to be slightly low.
I find the cold to be putting a damper on my previous
intention.
One thing for sure, the visit to my little doggie.

We didn't get any snow.  We sent it all to the SouthEast..  Hope the lettuce made it.  Enjoy your visit, Joyous!

Snowing here now!  Taking off to my doctor.s appointment.  Dawn's appointment is tomorrow.

Doctor was pleased with my check up yesterday.  She told me to keep doing what I'm doing, and come back in 4 months.  BP there was 132/74.
Today, Dawn will be here  at about 11.  I'll be taking her for her second shot this afternoon.

Today I went to Discount Tire due to a slow leak
in the driver's side rear tire. That service is free
when I buy tires there. The leak was due to a nail.
Also went to Southgate Salvation Army with daughter
and GR.daughter. I bought a pair of Skechers. 
They must be washed as their used, but less than
half the price of new.
I missed seeing my doggie.
I'm uncomfortable because I ate too much this evening.
Wishing all a peaceful and restful night.

I bought my tires at the Dodge dealership- got 0% interest by using my Dodge Drive credit card.
Took Dawn for her second Covid shot today, took her to Dollar General, and home,
Walked Chipper 2800 paces after supper.  That's pretty close to a mile.

Slept well last night, after taking Chipper out at about 11:30.  This morning, he pawed at my recliner at 5:30.  I put on my shoes, coat, and hat, hooked Chipper up, and took him outside.  Upon returning inside, Chipper promptly laid down under the TV stand, so I sat back in the recliner, and dozed till 7:30.
Will probably take Chipper for a walk later.  Going out for 'all you can eat' pollock tonight.

Yesterday, I was planning taking someone to dinner- at the Lynx Grill.  When I asked her Wednesday, she said "Sure!"  Yesterday afternoon, she called and cancelled.  Said she had nothing to wear.  Broke my heart.  Maybe I'm too giving.  Anyway, Dawn was coming over last night because she has a Covid test this morning, so I asked her if she'd like to go, since I already had reservations.  Dawn and I went, but it wasn't the same....

Dang LFF I would have gone out to eat with you even if I had to wear jeans.  But I would have dressed up the best I could.  Your friend missed out!

Raining in MO today.....good for the gardens.

LFF, 0 % interest on tires? I'm assuming you bought them on credit?
I paid cash. I cannot recall how long ago I bought the tires, but I do
know I have had them checked a few times and another nail removed
in another tire. 

Someone should learn to not agree to go out to eat and beg off on
the day. I suppose there can be reasons, but consideration is important
to me.
Today has been a sort of ? drizzly rain day. Chilly too. Yesterday was nice.
The highlight of my day was visiting Little Chuckie. He enjoyed our routine visit,
but when complete (in his time concept), he jumped up on Chuck's recliner
and began listening for the sound of the Pickup and looking at the door. I knew he was finished with Grama.

Well. she did thank me for the rose I left by her door.  I called today to see if she was okay.
Good that Chuckie loves his Papa.

Chipper woke me at 3:17 this morning- took him outside for about 20 minutes.  Came back in , and laid back down, but couldn't sleep.  Phone rang once at 5:30.  Got up, and caller ID showed nothing.
Will be doing out to my Mom's today.

Good evening all. I'm truly sorry I haven't posted in a while. John and myself had both covid vaccines now and no side effects. Just sore arms which we're glad it's over and done with. We're now proud owners of two twin 3 year old dogs, Boots and Emily as of Friday, April 23rd. We had been looking for the last couple of months and found these 2 on Facebook to be re-homed. The lady brought them to our home and we weren't sure which one would we take. But beings they were sisters so we took both of them. They're part Chihuahua/Mancini terriers and both very quiet and well behaved . The lady that had them is moving and doesn't know where she is moving to. So here is a picture of them both. Boots has white paws just so you know.

Here we go on another Monday!  I sat outside with Chipper, and listened to the birds singing.  Neither of us wanted to go in.
Will probably take Chipper for a walk on the riverfront later, but not until after I make French Toast.  Might take a little nap first.

I  don't remember a whole lot of yesterday.  I do remember that, about 7 p.m.,  seeing that we were supposed to have a full moon, even a 'pink' moon last night, I invited Sheri to come out before she turned in, and look at the moon with me later.  She said she was very tired, and lying on the couch, that she might call me later.  Well, I took Chipper out at 10:30, as Sheri hadn't called.  I took my binoculars out with me to look at the moon by myself, and, lo and behold, I couldn't find the moon, or even any stars.  Guess the sky had become overcast.  Bummer!
Today, I'll be taking Chipper to the vet to get his rabies shot, and get checked over.

LFF, that is a "Bummer" when one expects an unusual moon,
or certain stars, or an eclipse and it's either hidden behind clouds,
or not visible in our area. I LOVE when I look up and unexpectedly
see an amazing moon. (A niece in S.C. posted a rather good photo 
of the moon as is was seen in her area. This is the URl she posted,)

I began today Gung-Ho!
Scrubbed the kitchen floor. Did some garden work, showered,
visited my Canine friend. Went to Ruhlig's for more plants for
the flower gardens. (Ray bought a dozen Black Krim tomato plants,
which he transferred to larger containers. In early May he will set
them out in his tomato patch. Ray is my Housemate. I hate admitting that he 
grows better tomatoes than I do, but they're SO GOOD! )

I found myself strolling down Memory lane today.
Most of the people I shared my earlier life with are gone.
That gives one pause.

Chipper and I strolled down Brady and Hubbard Streets on our walk, but we have no Memory Lane here that I know of.  The nearest one is down in Sturgis off of US 12.

Oh!  I understand now!  'Strolling down memory lane' is reminiscing!  I do that a lot!  Googled it.
Today, I'll have to go to Schaendorf Brewing (A part of Schaendorf Cattle Company) to get a month's worth of burgers for Chipper.  Then I need to go to Village Markup to get some Faygo cola, Pringles, ans laundry detergent.  Will take Chipper with me.
Speaking of Chipper, I took him to the vet yesterday, and he passed everything with flying colors.  The vet said I'm taking good care of him.

I usually spend about an hour with Little Chuckie.
After about half an hour today, I needed to go to 
Ollie's in Taylor. He knew it wasn't time for me to leave.
I PROMISED to return and did so, spent at least a half
hour. He was satisfied, I think?
That little dog willingly lets me go when our allotted
time is up, but he seems to have a built -in clock and
becomes emotional when I try to leave early.

Didn't do a whole lot yesterday.   I took Chipper for a walk, picked up some Schaendorf burger for Chipper (They didn't have patties), and bought some groceries at Village Markup.
Today, I'll be heading out to my Mom's later.  My sister and I will be taking out some big Rose of Sharon bushes behind my Mom's pole barn/garage.

LFF, not being nosey, well maybe a tad, will you move into your mom's house when she leaves this realm?
The Rose of Sharon is beautiful when blossoms appear, a bit untidy when blossoms fall.

I may return to Ollie's today. My son wants that Air cooler they have on sale. His AC doesn't cool
enough.
Now I will walk the garden, such as it is. A bit early for most things to be growing.

I forgot to mention that my sister in S.C. called last evening.
Mostly good things to chat about. However a niece's son and his wife 
had a baby which died at birth.

That is indeed sad, Joyous.  I'm offering my condolences.
As far as my Mom's house goes, I've already told my Mom and Sister that I don't want it.  It's an '86 doublewide on a foundation, with a 30 foot deck, and an enclosed breezeway connecting the house to a 30X60 foot pole barn/2 stall garage.  Modifications were made to the roof to specifications that allowed it to be placed in the Village (now city) limits.  It requires a lot of maintenance, and is located on two city lots that my Sister and Brother in Law own.  (My folks had a lifetime lease on the lots, which revert back to them  upon my Mom's demise.)  If I took the house, I'd have to give my Sister half the value of the house, would have to purchase the lots from my Sister and her husband ( at market price, which is pretty high in Douglas, MI), and I would then be responsible for lawn maintenance, flower garden maintenance, snow removal, etc.
As it is, there is a lady interested in purchasing the house and property.
I prefer living in an apartment where the all the maintenance is handled by someone else.

LFF, while it sure sounds like a perfect place, I can understand why
you're better situated in your ? apartment ? Duplex ? whatever your
abode is called. Hopefully your Mom will reside there for as many years
as she feels happy.
If I lived alone, I couldn't possibly keep up our place. We have far more
 than a regular Trailer Park yard. Ours has more than the usual double
lot would be. Years ago, we cleared the creek bank, sifted the soil and
began creating garden parcels. Both vegetables and flowers. Everyone 
here enjoys the work we have put in. Most of the hard work has been 
done by Ray. Eventually neither of us will be able to keep it up. 
I love my kids, but I do not wish to live with them. Not fair to them either.

Just a few. It goes on much farther.

Looks fantastic!  That's exactly the kind of work I want to avoid.  My Sister has a large snowblower that she takes care of the snow removal with her 40 inch snowblower that has power steering, forward and reverse gears, and an enclosed walk behind cab.  Her husband mows the yard with his 60 inch zero turn mower.  My Sister and I take care of the flowerbeds and rock gardens.

Your mom is blessed to have caring children.

We are the ones who are blessed.

Little pink guy woke me at 4 this morning.  Stayed up, because I'll have to get things caught up here, and leave by 7 for this year's first garage sale.  Will be gone all day.

A wool blanket was needed. 
We went to fetch one from my oldest son's lady friend 
I visited Little Chuckie. He was in a different mood today.
He usually barks fiercely at my GR.daughter, not today.
He was satisfied with whatever I did for him, except 
sitting on my lap for his coat brushing. He preferred 
sitting on the step beside me. He wasn't the least bit
hyper, yet happy/content.

LFF, do you tune in to Babylon Bee (? B ?)? Very amusing.

Never heard of Babylon B. 
We sold 48 items today but didn't make much money.  We sell stuff cheap to get rid of it.  By 2:30, my Sister said to pack it in.  She was tired of fighting the wind and cold.
Exceot for the 3 times I took Chipper out to pee, he stayed inside with my Mom for 8 hours.

Chipper is easy to get along with. 

If the sun warms SW Michigan today, the sales should be
good.
I have no plans, aside from visiting Little Chuckie.

Closed early today- about 3.  Then I picked up Dawn and brought her here.  She made crabmeat alfredo for supper!

I made $2 today, and spent 5.  My Mom didn't do much better.  My Sister sold about $70 worth.
