Another beautiful day in store. A bit chilly this morning, but not too bad.

Good morning Windwalker and everyone!

Our snow and ice is gone now thank goodness.  It was a long week but I started getting out on Tuesday and got out every day since.  Yesterday I got my hair cut which was long overdue for sure!

Glad, I usually consider cutting my hair when warm weather comes. You wouldn't believe how long mine is. 
I just wear a headband and use one of those scrunchies/elastic thingies to hold it back.

GOD is SO good! This morning I realized I had lost my house keys. After searching everywhere at home, I prayed, got my car keys to go searching by my son's where I play with Little Chuckie. Phone rang, my son asked if I lost keys. They were in a deep snow pile and he happened to see them. 

Glad, I ordered some seeds and bought some at Home Depot. I think I saved some too. We use the creek bank for gardening and may lose some of it due to flooding washing the banks away. Still, we have more yard than most trailers and make use of every spare inch.

That is a miracle about your keys Joyous, glad you got them back, as you say the Lord looks after us and answers prayers. Praise the Lord.

Good morning to all. Warmer than the freeze we expected last night, so that is a good thing. No plans for today, and that is even better.

Jackie, it's good that you have a dependable person to take you too and from Services.

Windwalker, I'm curious regarding your place called home. Do you live in a Subdivision? An apartment complex? I know that Glad has her own home with a lovely yard with room for gardening. Jackie lives in ? an apartment? LFF, in some type apartment complex. My housemate and I live in a small Mobile Home Park. Our trailer is situated on a curve which gives us a larger yard. We also cleared the County creek bank, sifted all the stones out of the soil, creating a huge garden space. This past summer we shared a lot of veggies with others in our park. We freeze and can quite a bit from it as well.
OK, enough about me.

Jackie, I misunderstood your previous posts. Are there steps you must navigate? I sort of assumed, wrongly, that you have a a type of walker/conveyance which you need assistance with. This led me to further assume you were in an apartment or a condo. My bad.

OK, enough about me.

We live in a quiet country area. It is a neighborhood, but made up of houses of all types, and spaced out at different distances, some 20 feet apart, some 50 feet or more. This house is about 20-25 years old with a fenced in yard. The only hard thing, around here, is having to cut the grass in the Summer.

We just moved from a trailer park a year ago. The storms that came through, tore half the siding off the trailer, we'd just finished paying it off. It was old and not worth fixing, and too old for insurance, so we found this rental. Many years ago, we had a decent but small garden, and wound up with so many large tomatoes, we had to freeze, and give a lot away. We had a tiny garden this past Summer, I mean tiny. It had about 3 greeen bell pepper plants in it, those fed Michelle's Guinea Pigs all Summer and into the Fall.

Jackie, that sounds better than what I had envisioned.

Windwalker, have you considered growing a few plants in either large pots or raised beds? I hope I never have to give up growing a few veggies, 1st choice being tomatoes. Then lettuce, cucumbers, kale, garlic, onions, a few potatoes, oh of course Green beans!
Seeing Little Chuckie was top of my list today. I 
have to laugh at his sense of time. After our routine is finished, he sits by the door, looking at me as if to say, "WEll, our time for today is finished." Then he paws my son, letting him know, "We must go to the door and say Bye to Grama!"
I will now go to Meijer to buy Purina dog chow and puppy chow. He eats a mix each day and Meijer has a sale on both.

I read your blog about the trailer park Windwalker and it did bring a smile. Very interesting neighbours and a lot of entertainment, fascinating thankyou.

It is perfectly ok with me Windwalker and thank you for sharing!  I haven't seen the trailer park life before and I will do so soon.

Nothing new for me today but tomorrow I go have my taxes done.  Hope I get a few dollars back.   I usually do get enough back to pay a bill or two.

Windwalker I see great writing potential on that blog page.  I would like to put the link under your writing section of his forum.  I will check to see if we need to bring the section up to date.

Windwalker, I'm headed that way soon. I love reading the life experiences of other people. 
Before moving into this Trailer Park, I had a negative view of Trailer Parks. I was on my own after 25 years of marriage. Ray was recently divorced too. We decided that two people could live together cheaper and that we could get along with each other. He had $$ to buy either a house or a mobile home. I didn't like the idea of a trailer but this small park was encircled by a farmer's cornfield with no trailer next door. After 37 years here it is home and I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

Windwalker, I'm resting at the Upside-Down flag. Count me in. I bought a flag which would fit perfectly on a white Tee-Shirt, up-side-down, which means {Country in distress}. Years back I listened to Mark Scott's radio hour and he talked about flying our flag upside down until our country is made good again.

I am enjoying your revelation of Trailer-Park life from your perspective.

A warmer morning. We are at 47F this morning, instead of yesterday's 28F. A high of 71F predicted and storms maybe for tomorrow.

Today lots of snow and ice melted leaving water covering sidewalks, etc.
Today I visited Little Chuckie. After the usual routine
I washed a few dishes. He came to the kitchen, looked at me, I asked if he wanted to play ball. He just looked at me as if to say. "We played ball!"
I asked if I should go home and he could sit in Chuck's chair. He immediately jumped up onto the chair.
Later my daughter asked if I wished to visit my oldest son and his mate. We went there and had such a fun
time.
Now I have had my little apple pie with Butter pecan ice cream. Evening is time to relax.

Good morning to all.  I think we have rain coming this morning. 
No plans, so it can rain all it wants. A mild, 57F this morning.

We had warmer temps and melting, which meant more water sitting in our yards, street, creek bank is quite full.
Have any of you Shouters tried food from Chick.Fil.A ?
We had a gift card and bought two orders of Chicken strips. The taste was excellent, the server was perfect, not enough strips for the money in my humble opinion, but maybe I'm living in a dream world?
I went to Meijer early, after stopping to fill the gas tank. Now I will visit Little Chuckie.

Today I removed snow from our front porch, removed ice from my windshield and car windows, washed the white items of laundry, visited Little Chuckie twice.
While at our mailbox a neighbor's sister stopped and as she began to drive away, a great sheet of frozen snow slid from her car roof onto her windshield. She didn't immediately get out of the car so I pushed and pulled until I got it off. My good deed for today.

Sorry.  I took several short naps today, as I can't stay in one position too long.  If it's not the pressure on my hip, it's a throbbing pain in my knee, or in me leg, as it stiffens up.
Not being able to stay in one position too long results in frequent short trips to the 'jim', and also any trips outside with Chipper, or to the kitchen take a little extra time as I move very gingerly.  Of course, having snow covered ice outside requires careful walking too.  Consequently, my computer time is somewhat altered as well.

Would you like for me to remove one of the photos, Joyous?

Yes PLEASE, LFF. I hesitated to ask.

Couple more inches of snow arrived here overnight.  Chipper likes it, but I don't.  I plan on staying home today.

Frosty this morning at 29F. I have one errand around 10am and then it can be back to home and warm.

Got more snow overnight.  Took Chipper out and shuffled to the end of the sidewalk, where Chipper had 13 feet to roam on the leash.  He used the pads again last night when he couldn't wait.  He's such a good dog!
I'm afraid I won't be doing much today....

Jackie, your strong winds seem to have invaded Michigan, USA. The sun shines, but much of the earth is covered with ice. The wind sure makes me freeze, yet I must visit my Little Chuckie.

I'm starting out slowly this morning, but I hope to go out to my Mom's house later today to do some pricing for the Estate Sale.  Driving  is getting to be a problem for me, with my right hip as it is.

33F and cloudy this Sunday morning. No plans for today, maybe it will warm up, later.

Drive careful, and stay safe. I remember how my hip felt when it acted up.

Today is church day for me and I feel half way decent for a change.  

I will try to work on the background this afternoon.   I am also thinking spring colors.

Don't overdo things today LFF.

Glad, I know you are fed spiritually when you
are in Church. I venture there was a very good meal
when you returned home.
LFF, I very much hope your hip wasn't terribly painful.
I wish I lived nearby for just a day in order to peruse
the estate sale.
I did a load of laundry, visited Little Chuckie, found
the keys I misplaced/in the pocket of a different coat which I wore yesterday.
Lots of melting here, thankfully. The ice was a bit of
 an annoyance to say the least.
I called a niece whom I haven't chatted with for quite sometime.
Now I will decide what I want for a snack.

My hip didn't give me much trouble during the four hours I was at my Mom's.  We sorted through photographs.  The 45 minutes driving there, and the 45 minutes driving home  caused a bit of pain though.  As for the estate sale in the Spring, it's only a 3 hour drive, and I can  give you the address, so you can get easy directions on Mapquest, or Google maps.

My kind of morning, here. Light rain and 49F. Think I will sit outside under the patio and sip some coffee.

I am sipping coffee also and when finished the cup will get ready to take grandson for his appointment then lunch and groceries.  He seems to be doing better with this new medicine.  He is continuing to apply for disability.  The state of MO has him on medicade so hopefully the federal will grant him disability.  So sad with his degree but sometime these things happen.

Today I scooped up some ice from the front walk.
Along comes a man telling me the water will be
shut off for about two hours while he replaces a
couple of pipes. We have had a few breaks with
water gushing out all over the yards, freezing. I'm
thinking because this is a very old park, the water
system needs quite a bit of replacement. The water
is back on. This was originally a Motor Court for those
traveling south or north on Telegraph which was the most traveled road from north to south. This was
before I-75 was built and opened for travel north to Florida.
I also went to the $$ Store (Which is now more the $1.25 store), to visit Little Chuckie, to Meijer. Finally watching a few episodes of "Vera" a British Detective series.

LFF, if I can talk someone into driving along with me, I will consider the Estate sale.
I'm thankful you had less pain in the hip.
