I went early to Little Chuckie because Chuck had to work. We had a nice visit, although he is always surprised when his schedule is off balance.
Not much else to relate.
I did go earlier to jumpstart my daughter's car.
She suspects some annoying visitors nearby messed about in her car last evening. She needs to lock it.

Another beautiful day about to start here. Cool and clear this morning.

Mornin' Windwalker and all!  Went to Plainwell this morning, and Otsego for breakfast.

Took Dawn with me to my Mom's, where we worked for a couple hours, brought Dawn home, picking up  supper for her, for Chipper and me, and for Michelle ( had Dawn call her and ask if she wanted anything), dropped off supper to Michelle, and came home.

Sorry I am so late checking in today.  This morning went to church and had to wear my sunglasses inside during church.  Almost did not go but did anyway.  I am dealing with an eye issue the last couple of days (pollen I assume) but right eye is irritated but some better today. I am not spending as much time on the computer to try and rest the eye.   Been putting hot compresses on both eyes which really helps.

Glad, is the eyes just irritated ?
Does it itch? Have you tried Visine?
Maybe you should make a patch of gauze and
tape it over the eye?

Today I did a load of laundry, went to Kroger
for eggs, grapes, again there were no Abound Dog treats. Water has gone up in cost.
I visited Little Chuckie. We had our usual routine and he politely gestured that I could go home. I LOVE him.
Later I found a book written several years ago by a teacher I had and another lady. It is a history of Pickens County/the Oolenoy area in which most of my childhood was spent, absolutely fascinating. How the land was either bought or taken from the Cherokee. About the people who became slaves, how they were given land when they were freed, the schools, just a very interesting history, the wars, the changes in how people lived.

Interesting Joyous!  I would like to read the book.  Maybe I can find it at my local library.

Hoping for another nice day of weather here. Going to enjoy it, if it is.

Today, I have a doctor coming out to the apartment to check up on me.  Then I may have to go to Plainwell to take Michelle in.  Her back was really hurting her last night, and still is this morning.

Hope all goes well with Michelle LFF. And you doctor appointment also.

Good morning everyone.  My eye is better today and will not strain it too much on the computer.  Trying to answer a few posts here and a couple other places.

Right Jackie and I have spent enough time on the computer for now.  Going to do something in the house for awhile.

Glad, the book is "Echos" and may not be in libraries. Mine was a gift from one of my brothers and his family when the book was first published. You lived in Greenville County, correct? Still, Pickens County would be interesting to you. How long did you live in South Carolina?
I'm off now to visit little doggie. <3

Today is off to the supermarket to stock up the pantry.  It doesn't take that long as we do pick up and only go in the shop to buy fresh vegies and meat.

Doctor was here for a hour and a half, mainly because her windows computer decided to do an update in the middle of my exam.  Blood pressure was a little elevated- not bad.  She reiterated a kidney test, and recommended an aneurysm screening, was not happy about the condition of my legs,  talked a bit about my depression, but all in all, I'll probably survive.  She told me I'll feel a lot better after my hip replacement

No I lived in Spartanburg County from the time I was 2 years until I was a month before I turned 19 when hubby and I moved to Missouri.  Spartanburg County is the next county over from Greenville County.  Or do I have that right is Greenville in Pickens County?  Can't remember after this long.

I see a friend on face book who livens near Cowpens so she might know about the book.

We never get home visits from doctors any more. Glad you have the go ahead for your op LFF and pray all goes well for you.

Thank you, 2Anne.  Thank you, Glad.  I flew down to Greenville years ago to visit a lady there.  At the Greenville airport, I was enamored by an airline staff member.  I wrote a song for her- even sent it to her.

Glad, I will check and I could be wrong. I believe Greenville County may include Spartanburg. Pickens County includes a few other villages/towns. Pickens County was so named after a man of some importance whose name was Pickens.

Pickens County was named for Revolutionary War hero Andrew Pickens (1739-1817). The county seat is the town of Pickens. This area in the northwestern corner of the state was Indian territory until 1777. It subsequently became part of Pendleton District (at one time called Washington District).

The mention of those areas sure bring back a lot of memories of my childhood.  Joyous do you know anything about Cowpens?

Glad, I never went to Cowpens. I wonder how it got that name. You should scroll through the Pickens County page. I will post the correct name of it. I have a post of when we lived on Sassafras Mountain, not posted by me, but the photos are mine.

My daughter and I hauled another load of patio stones home this afternoon for my youngest son's front entrance.
This morning I scrubbed the kitchen floor. Also repotted the beet plants.
I reckon I'm tired, but Gun Smoke is on. Rerun of course.

I took Chipper out at 3:30, picked up Michelle at 6, took her to Meijer's, went to breakfast, took her home, came home, took Chipper out, went back to Michelle's, took her to bank in Kalamazoo, went to Sam's club in Portage, went out for lunch at Red Robin, let Michelle drive my car back to Plainwell, dropped her off at home, and I came home again.

I have had Covid for the last four days, very heavy head cold and aching neck. Husband improving but all our social trips cancelled, missed two meals out this week and won’t be able to do church on Sunday. As Donald says Chinese flu.

Sorry 2Anne.  Hope you can beat it.
Took a long hot shower this morning, and will go to Plainwell this a.m.

Stay safe, Windwalker!  Went out for breakfast.  Was drizzling.  Came home- raining like the dickens!  Had to take Chipper out theough the patio.  He went out, peed in the rain, and came back in.

I visited Little Chuckie. LOL He amuses me. When he tires of playing with me, he jumps up on Chuck's chair and that is a hint for Time to go, GRAMA! I came home prepared to take stones out of a flower bed around the Birdbath. I did get the stones moved to the edge and rain began. I'll leave them there for the rain to wash the dirt off and finish maybe tomorrow.

P.S. I did the white laundry this day.

Eating the tortellini that Michelle made fo me yesterday.  It's pretty good!  Used my rollator walker to take Chipper out by the picnic table for a while, after the rain stopped.

I love Tortellini soup.

I don't do soup.  I think it stems from the veggie flavored water we had as kids.

We had vegetable soup and bean soup always with corn bread. VERY GOOD.

Just back from the doctors we had our flu injection and out this evening to a  Chinese Restaurant.
