Yes, last year I had a trip to the ER after cutting grass in 99F heat, like an idiot. They did the procedure then. I'm feeling better, but they still say it's a little out of sync.

Got a text from My Michelle at 2:54 this morning.  She was stressed out about the family trip this morning (going on a 9 hour drive up to Mackinac Island. Spending 2 days there for her Mom's 70th birthday), and she needed me.  I drove out to Plainwell, calmed her down.  We went to breakfast at Judy's Restaurant.  Then I gave her a hug and came home.

A-FIB Winter of 2021, street covered with about 5 or 6 inches of snow. A young lady had more food than she could use. An older lady always accepted free food. I went with a large bag, filled it, took it from one lady to the other 3 times. The 4th time I was feeling tired and took it toward home. Almost home I felt a very tight feeling in my left chest, stopped, asked GOD to please let me make it home. I got home, sat down, it passed.
Later I went to see the doggie, felt like I might pass out, came home, the feeling didn't go away. ER Diagnosed A-FIB. I think I may be well now, but stroke is a danger if medication is stopped. The thought of a stroke is not something I can risk.
(If I already told you-all all this, forgive me. My children tell me, "Mom, you told me that !"

I don't recall your telling us about that, nell.  I had a stroke in 2016.
Have never been to Mackinac Island, but then I've never been to Spain either.  Daniel's been to Spain.

My Michelle was quite stressed, and asked me to come out.  Told her give me an hour.  I was there in 20 minutes.
This morning, I'm heading out there to feed her cat, clean the litter boxes, etc.

Ran a/c in the car all the way to Holland and back this afternoon- hour and a half round trip.  Have it running at home now.

I did sleep well last night.  Was very tired and today not so much work.  I wiped off the jelly jars after taking off the bands and put them up in the cabinet.  They look so pretty!  Kinda proud of myself.

I know.  I only get about 35 miles to the gallon, and I had to fill up at 3.91 a gallon today.

Running my A/C most of the time this summer, so my electric bills have been a little high this year.  While Michelle was at Mackinac Island with her family, I visited her cat in Plainwell Monday morning, Tuesday morning, and Tuesday afternoon...  My Michelle is home now.  Will be going out there this morning again.

Looks like gas prices down in the States and they are here as well. We have cut down our gas consumption by having the heating on later and off earlier plus lowering the heat. Media here obsessed with energy rises. I think food has gone up about 25% and with the drought here things will be worse. Farmers harvesting wheat right now but we are not self sufficient and need to import from the Ukraine! Problems down the line.

Good morning to all. I may have to mow the grass today. It's way too tall for my liking. Of course, with the price of gas, you have to budget even your mowing these days.

The shock treatment? Apparently they put me to sleep, as I don't remember anything. I like it like that.

Glad you are well recovered Windwalker, might be an idea to shelve jobs for now as you are newly post op.

Good news Windwalker.  But as 2Anne mentions shelve your mowing if you can for a few days.

We try to use less, but with hot weather, very difficult.
I use little gasoline in the car as I only do short tripping.

WindWalker, that sounds perfect, being asleep during
shock therapy. Are you also taking medication? If it meant no meds I believe I might go for the shock.

NO, I'm on meds as well. I do feel better now though, so that's a plus. Now, if I can keep it like this, I'll be a happy camper.

Went to Plainwell this morning, (My Michelle didn't reply to my texts or phone calls.  Knocked on her door- no answer.  Had my key in the lock, ready yo go in and check on her, but she opened the door- had overslept). Then, we went to Judy's restaurant in Otsego for breakfast.  Took her home, and then I came home.

Good morning from Iowa. It's going to be another warm day and still need rain here badly. We don't have air in our van and we just can't afford to get it done either. We do have air in the house and fan though. Will be glad when it finally gets cooler here. Waiting for fall. LLF and Windwalker hope you're both doing well. Sorry for the heat wave in UK, Anne.

Margie, like you, I'm choosing to just tough it out without AC in the wagon. I get heat in winter which I couldn't drive without. We also have the AC and fan in the trailer.
Have you heard of the cooling cloths? I wore mine a lot
yesterday and it sure helped me stay cool enough.

Today was a much nicer day....still need rain but a least  cooler slightly with less humidity.

Warm and muggy this morning. Rain forecast for later today. No problem there, as I don't have any plans to go anywhere.

29C here, official drought warning. We are having a barbecue here tomorrow and have neighbours coming so hope it cools a bit. Currently sitting in with curtains drawn.

when I think of what 2Anne and Jackie must tolerate.
I feel that the birds too must suffer. After our last rain, there were puddles in our street. A Robin simply sat contentedly for quite awhile, not bathing nor drinking nor splashing, just sitting.
Today I realized another loss from lack of rain. I went to snip some Peppermint to dry for Winter tea. I could hardly believe how little I was able to gather. All the years we have lived here this is the first time Peppermint plants have been in short supply. If only weeds were delicious to eat.

Not been a good year for gardens nell but I am thankful for what I did get.  I have only fried okra twice and it took days to save up enough to get a mess.  Usually I have okra running out of my ears by this time.

My Michelle and I took off Yesterday afternoon on a road trip to Owosso Michigan.  Came home this afternoon.  Don't worry.  I was a perfect gentleman.  But tonight she texted me that she's sick with chills, body aches, and non stop coughing.  I said it sounds like the flu, covid, or monkeypox, and to get tested at the med center.  Haven't heard from her.  She's probably sleeping, so I texted her to text me when she wakes up.  And that I'm worried about her.

...Maybe a good idea to self test yourself also for covid, just in case...As they say, " better be safe than sorry " if indeed it is covid that Michelle has come down with..rather than wait for her results...

Asked myself if I was sick.  Told me I'm fine.  MyMichelle's doctor told her she has bronchitis.  Haven't heard from her this morning yet.

Good morning, everyone. I hope everyone gets to feeling better if you're under the weather. It's a pleasant 74F and cloudy this morning. No rain predicted so that is nice.

I answer myself too.  I even argue with myself, but me usually has to step in to referee.
Was bronchitis for MyMichelle.  Got a prescription, and she's feeling better now.
