And, another hot one for today. The storms teased us last night. I could hear the thunder rolling, but not a drop fell here. The grass is starting to brown, that's not a good sign. I guess this stuff going on with Putin, is causing it.

This is not a heavy rain but whatever we can get is appreciated greatly.

Oh I wanted to ask everyone to pray for my pastor today.  He has covid and therefore no church today.  This is his second time (Sept 2020).  So far I have been fortunate not to get it and I am hoping I do not ever.  I have had shots....thinking of taking yet another booster this fall.

No rain here.   Not hot either.  That will come in September and October.

A nice easy day just cooking lunch and our afternoon walk.

Cloudy this morning, we didn't get enough rain to wet the ground totally yesterday. I ran out and rolled the windows on the truck up, for nothing.

Bucketing with rain here. The farmers will be pleased. Gone cool too 18C.Oh well, typical British summer.

I went to the foot doctor this morning and afterward went grocery shopping.  Got home around noon had a chili dog and went to sleep.  Was very tired but feeling rested right now.  Shopping wears me out anymore.

Nope.  It was just a schedule for my visits and medications.  Granted, it was dated 4 days ago, one of the occupational therapist visits has been cancelled, and I've stopped 3 of the medications.

Back from the doctor.  Couldn't stand pain anymore.  I have two degenerative vertebra in my back.  No meds, just physical therapy for now.  Start Wednesday.  I've already had one back surgery years ago.

The Diflocenac tablets helped me tremendously, but excessive use can cause liver damage.

Doctor took me off them because
You should not use diclofenac if you have a history of allergic reaction to aspirin or NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).
Diclofenac can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke, especially if you use it long term or take high doses, or if you have heart disease. Do not use this medicine just before or after heart bypass surgery (coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).
Diclofenac may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal. These conditions can occur without warning while you are using this medicine, especially in older adults.
The gel did nothing for me.

My goodness....meds are good when needed but some can do damage.  Hope both of you do better.

A doctor's appointment this morning. So I can waste time out of my day for them to tell me something new is wrong. I swear, they make you feel worse after a visit, than when you went. It's almost like we're Guinea Pigs or something

Good Morning Shouters!

I love watching those old movies and tv shows.  All you get today is vulgar junk.

I know the feeling Windwalker.  Although most times I do not have to wait more than 30 minutes for the doctor to see me.  

Nothing special for me today except I picked a few small cucumbers yesterday evening and want to make sweet pickles.  Already made 2 gallons of whole dill pickles.  Cucumbers are doing good this year but beans aren't.

Son is off today so we plan to grill pork steak this afternoon.  Pork steak is the only steak I can afford and these were $14 for a package of 5.  I do like Aldi's pork steak.

Only steak I like is tube steak.

Can't remember the last time I had a steak.  Just not my favorite.  Chicken and turkey and fish are my favorites - especially chicken.

I agree with the "Junk" now a days.  After the winter season of shows are done, on the main channels are just competition shows.  Those get a little old after a while.

Competiton and reality shows are so orchestrated.  I won't watch them.

Michelle stopped by this morning with burritos she'd made for me.  She drove me down to the bank, and I got some quarters.  Now I'm home paying my bills.

Looking forward to going out to a Chinese Restaurant this evening.

Now Chinese sounds good!  I have rice and soy sauce in the house.  I'll have to look for veggies or something.

Good morning to all. The world is starting to wake up around here. I can see first lieht appearing.

Michelle came out this morning.  Brought me a sausage McMuffin.  Was good to see her.  She's off to get her monthly shots this morning.  I'll be having the Physical Torturist, I mean Therapist, come out today.

After a wasted two mornings at the doctor, I went to Walmart and bought a bottle of Melatonin. I slept like a baby, for the first time in weeks. Saved me $35.

That's what my doctor recommended for sleep......trouble is I slept too much.  I am one of these who sleeps about 3 hours then up several and then sleep naps all during the day.

Michelle came out this morning.  Surprised the heck out of me when she walked in the door and said "Hi Gorgeous."  Then she took me out for breakfast- another surprise!  On the way home from the restaurant, she stopped at Dollar General, and got me 3 six-packs of Diet Mountain Dew, knowing I was out of Dew.  What a great morning!
Got home and Dawn is here!  She's going to make Spaghetti for me for tonight and probably the next 2 days.
Had been home half an hour, and Sheri called to see how I'm doing, and if I needed anything.  Said, she'd make fish for me this weekend...
Am I living in a dream or what?

This is definitely not an every day occurrence!

Thanks, nell.  I think they feel sorry for me.  Of course, I haven't laid around , hoping my body would heal.  I'vve been cautiously active.

I hope everyone has a nice start to their weekend. It may be time, to mow the grass around here. Of course, I'll have to wait till late afternoon, to give it a chance to dry out from the rain we got yesterday.

No grass mowing here yet, and no rain either.
Dawn just left, and I'm watching cartoons on MeTV.

We were supposed to wake up to rain but none yet.  It is so dry here.

I am going to make another batch of refrigerator pickles this morning.  This time bread and butter.  I have the best luck storing them in frige instead of processing them in a water bath canner they become soft and soggy.

Not sure what I will do the rest of the day.  Perhaps watch a movie.

Good evening from Iowa. I bet you wondered where I have been lately? Well at this time I'm working on getting all my stuff off of IE to Firefox. I'm just taking my time. Hubby and myself are doing just fine.

I started out with IE many years ago.  Changed to FireFox around 2000.  Haven't regretted it.

Here's another day.  I don't plan on going anywhere- still sore.  Not released to drive yet.
