Chit Chat 2023

Expecting a hot one here today.  Will turn on the a/c for Gracie before I leave for work.  Having a gay pride festival in Saugatuck/Douglas, with upwards of 6000 extra tourists today.

Windwalker, it's great the ointment eased your back pain. Perhaps a pulled muscle ?
The elastic belt I wore all day helped
mine. No pain at all today. So thankful.

I heard the parade go by yesterday, but I didn't get to see any.  I was busy sorting and displaying Adagio earrings at the time.  I hear Sheri telling familiar customers that I'm such a help to her.  I don't feel that way, but she must appreciate me.  Her summer help comes in periodically, but that will improve, once the  school year is done.  Now is the busy time with inventory  coming in

I'm glad to be feeling better. If I do too much, it lets me know, but otherwise, it's a great improvement.

Good Sunday morning Shouters!

We had a power outage on our block yesterday evening was out for several hours.  Bad transformer.  Took until midnight to be fixed.  Was so happy it was not too hot.  When I am out of electric I do not have access to water so I was glad when we got our electric back.

Worked at Sheri's all day.  Did another 1500 today.

That sounds awesome LFF.  Glad you like doing the job.

I'm volunteering my time to help Sheri. Getting store credit, gifts from the store owner, and a little spending cash are perks of the job.

I got the concrete dusted off, both dogs dusted off, the paper trash burned, and the front porch cleaned yesterday. So, today is a day for, "Chillin like a villain" !

I actually miss working at times. I dream about it a lot. But when I was working, many times, like other people, I wanted to retire and stay home.

Yesterday was a slow day at the store.  We even closed early at 4:30.  Sheri and Taya were trying on hats and sunglasses, laughing, and making plans for upcoming events.  They even wanted to include me.

Sounds like fun LFF.

I know what you mean Windwalker......I miss my part time job but know the last couple of years I would not have been able to keep it up. 

Nice this morning but know it will be hot later on.  We need rain badly!

Didn't go to the store today.  Sheri's sick.  And I can't open the store- She hasn't given me a key,  I did go to walmart, and pick up some groceries for her.

It will be a couple of degrees cooler today, so that is a plus. No plans, so I think I will just think of a small gadget project, here in the office.

Sheri called me last night and told me the battery in my car was dead, so I went out to see if it was making a regulator noise or something.  Car started right up, so I drove it about a mile- no warning lights on the dash or anything.  I decided not to call her and wake her as her lights were all off.  I'm hoping it's just the battery in her key fob.

went to work with Sheri today.  She sent me to Holland for supplies for the store.  My car ran fine!

All of a sudden I'm able to post here.

Windwalker, I heard something today
about arm, joint, and other pain being
caused by arthritis. I've had arthritis 
in my hands some time so it makes sense.

I slept in this morning. I have an errand at 10am so I'm just enjoying coffee and relaxing.

I am going to lunch with one of the church ladies.  Looking forward to it.  My sons can "fen" for themselves today.

No plans for today, Yay! I thought I had an appointment, but it's not until next week.

I was supposed to go to lunch and bowling with Sheri and her Grandson.  She's not up yet.

Up earlier than normal today and did some cleaning up of the debris in the yard. Sticks and plastic garden cups etc.  Tired now.

Will start lunch soon.  Spaghetti today.

Glad, I just finished weeding two rows of Shallots and 
doing a load of laundry, which I must now put on hangers.
I also had spaghetti for lunch.
Enjoy the remainder of this day.

I did laundry this morning too.

your laundry to a public laundromat?

There's a washer and dryer right across the hall from me here on the first floor (I have to be sure they're not being used before I carry my laundry out.), and there's another washer and dryer on the third floor on our end of the building (12 apartments).  There are another 2 sets on the other end of the building (another 12 apartments).  The other building in our complex is laid out the same way.  Most people have their own washer and dryer.

Windwalker, although it feels a bit cool here and we NEED rain,
still blessed.

I woke during the night with leg cramps. Not unusual except this time the cramps were above the knees and extreme. I could barely walk, drank ha;lf a bottle of water, the cramps ceased.

Today is my 4th child's/3rd son's 61st birthday.

Wish him a happy birthday from us!

His wife took him to Milan to some special auto race.
He was happy as he should have been/she as no interest 
at all in racing, but took him.

Mornin' Windwalker and all!  Worked till 7 last night.  Don't know if I'll be working today

I got up early to pick raspberries and other items from he garden.  I am tired now and took about half hour nap while lunch is simmering.  We are having kettle beef with noodles, and some of the beet greens I picked this morning.  Too tired to peel potatoes so the noodles will be fine.

Glad, when I want potatoes and don't feel like peeling them,
I do a quick scrub to clean, pop them in the microwave for
maybe 5 minutes and cut them in half and add butter, salt, pepper.

I've had potatoes that way too.

LFF, I didn't ask if the cars were electric.
My son however told me today about a
78 year old man being killed when a 
racecar drove in reverse so fast the
man had no chance to get out of harms
way. 
One wonders why someone of that age
would be in the area of the racecars. SAD.

I asked about the electric cars because Joe wants us to all go electric.

Sheri and I had a spat yesterday, but I think we smoothed things over, and I'll be taking a couple days off.

Well, they said 100% rain yesterday. We never had a drop, and lots of sunshine. Today, 73% chance, they say. So, I better go tie everything down outside. LOL

Electric cars rubbish. They have a short range, battery very heavy and lasts only a few years, thousands for a new one. Finding charge points not easy and very time consuming. My daughter has one and it’s overpriced trash.

Joe is a Birdbrain. He promotes whatever his Handlers
tell him to. I may never understand HOW the United
States of America allowed big Govt to completely deprive
