Good morning to all. I'm pretty sure, I broke my little toe ramming it into the door frame. Not positive, but I don't remember being able to turn it 90 degrees out from the foot. LOL

Sheri stopped by and told me she's going to breakfast for her birthday with her Son and Grandson.  Then she'll go to work from there, so I can stay home today.

Oh Windwalker that will be painful for a few days.

I woke up last night with another low blood sugar.  Starting today I will be taking a lot less insulin.  So hope that helps.

Good afternoon all. Finally got a bit of rain the other day. But need more of course. Glad the heat wave is over with for now. Haven't left the house since Tuesday . Just too darn hot. But with payday coming around will be out taken care of business.

I'm home from work- having pizza that Sheri and I bought in Saugatuck.  Won't be working tomorrow.  Supposed to go to Kalamazoo with Sheri.

I'm just a wee bit envious of Ray's daughter and granddaughter.

Makes me wonder what you did with an unplanned day?
LOL, most of my days are unplanned. I usually just
meander along, unless I have an appointment.

Got home about 7 p.m. from work.  Then I went to walmart to pick up some stuff for myself.and yes, for Sheri too.
Guess we're okay again.  I bought eggs tonight, so I'll have some eggshells to walk on.  Got a dozen Jumbo eggs- $1.34!

Not a bad price for a dozen eggs, LFF.

We went to Blocks, a Farm market which has been a family
farm and their own market for many, many years.
Their prices made us thankful to have raised our
own garden. We are able to share a few items with
neighbors this year and freeze quite a bit for Winter.

On a less cheerful note:
My nephew who has been fighting so hard to beat cancer,
has been hospitalized a few days, pneumonia, cancer has
spread, on life support, tube fed.
His son called to let me know he is bringing his dad home
with the care of Hospice. He has sat by his dad's bed, watching
medical intervention, unable to eat, to converse, in apparent
misery. My words were; "Ronnie, I think you're making the best decision."
God bless this young man. His mom died not long ago. Now
he must decide to let his dad go. 

I'll pray for the family, nell.
Just got home.  Our gas is 3.79 here.

Praying for him, Nell. What a horrible situation to have to go through.

lightfootfan, I haven;t checked today, but yesterday it was $3.45 a gallon. I guess that Inflation Reduction Plan, ran out of steam (and money).

Ronnie, God Bless You in what you are about to do...do what you think your father would want you to do...my heart goes out to you..

My fellow Shouters, words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude
to each of you for your prayer, your compassionate words, your
love . Ronnie posted a prayer request on Facebook. He has his dad, 
Lee, at home. If God wills that Lee leave this world, home with his
loved ones is such a warmer, better place. His wife/Ronnie's mama/
died there recently. That is where Lee should be.
God will surely bless Ronnie.

Glad texted me earlier today, and asked me to let the forums know she was in recovery, but I kept losing my internet connection at work!

That is good news LFF. I hope she has a smooth road to wellness.

Doing great this morning. A bit hoarse when I over use my voice but that will improve with time. I am going to have my first taste of garden tomato today.  Can't wait!  Will eat along with my meal.

They said I can go back to a normal diet but eat slowly chewing food properly.  Good news!

I am sitting here looking out my bedroom window at the hummingbirds.  They are so cute!

OH Glad, such good news. I agree the Humming birds are helpful with healing.
I find Wrens entertaining also. We have a Robin who keeps us laughing when 
he bathes. He wants the Bird bath clean. He wants to use it alone and he
tests the water first by drinking, then dipping his feet in, then he splashes
furiously, several times.

The sun is shining today and the hummingbirds are humming around their feeders.  I have two feeders and the other day I counted 6 hummers!

I am feeling really good today.  I ate a semi normal meal yesterday which was awesome.  Hoping to go for Chinese soon.

Today is church day so I will see ya'll this afternoon.  Have a great day!

I'm glad that everyone is feeling some better, today. We will be scorching again today. we hit 108F index yesterday around 5pm
It's only 10:15, and we are at an index of 99F.

Due to blood thinner meds. I was daring yesterday, attending a birthday
party for a man who was my brother in law and lots of family whom I
have loved since I was married to their kin/Ken .
It was wonderful to celebrate with them with love.

Today is a different story. My nephew's son called to let me know the
medical staff say Lee will probably live through this night. Ronnie (Lee's son)
put the phone on speaker, placed it on his chest and I told him that I
love him , have always loved him. Lee is unable to speak, but hears.
I pray that Holy Angels accompany him into God's presence. 
His wife died a few months ago of a brain aneurysm. I believe that's when
Lee lost his will to live.

Sheri closed the store early today- 5 p,m.  We stopped on the way home, and she bought us chocolate malts.

On a different note: This thing with so many younger
people suddenly being diagnosed with cancer, it just
makes me wonder. My nephew had no clue he had a
cancer cell until he was in an automobile accident and
X rays showed cancer. his healthy wife suddenly dies 
from a brain aneurysm.

We don't really know all the effects of the modified foods we've been fed.

I'm glad you had a chance to speak by speakerphone. I'm sure that had to make him feel calmer.

We reached a heat index of 117F yesterday around 2pm, then a small amount of rain dropped it o 104F then it rose again to 110F just before dark Now, it's 73 outside and muggy.

I'm so thankful that I spoke to Lee.
He didn;t make it through the night.
His son called me last evening to say
he had stopped breathing and his heart stopped.
Such heartache for Ronnie, both parents in less 
than a year.

I am so sorry Nell.  Lee is no longer in pain.  I am glad you were able to speak to him.  Continued prayers for all his family.

Today has been a busy day.  Picked up my grandson this morning and then went to the pharmacy.  Good news there I must be out of the donut hole with my insurance.  I got 5 prescriptions for less that $40  and one was insulin.  Well pleased.  Wish it were this way every month!

I brought grandson here and made spaghetti and cheese cake for him.  Then took him home and came back to make 5 more jars of grape jelly.  I have a few more grapes to cook but this time will just leave the juice in frig and mix it with apple juice.  Still need to make a batch of fig preserves and the raspberries are coming on again since we had rain.

This evening I planted onions in my pots on the deck.  These are for the fall garden.  Lettuce is growing.

Tired everyone so going to bed.  Been a busy busy day.

I'm in the donut hole, myself, Glad,  Thats why I have my Monjauro prescription on hold.  Good news is that I've been approved for 4 months of Ozempic though from the manufacturer, and I should get it in a couple weeks.

Found out the blood tests reveal my Liver went back to normal. Numbers were up last time. You can guess what the cause was.. wait for it.. drum roll please. THE MEDICINE, the former doctor had me on for cholesterol. They just love to throw medicine around here in the US. One medicine causes a problem, so they don't look for the reason, they just give you more medicine, to cause another problem. Geesh!

I know where you're coming from, Windwalker!

Today is grocery day then this afternoon will take son to mow a lady's yard.  We are having leftovers for lunch.  No time to cook today.
