Good afternoon all.

Being made aware of the past 100 years history, have they never heard of the saying " let bygones be bygones " why bring up the past, and take revenge for the past, and why now? Why make a future generation suffer for it? No one can make sense of it..

I have just written condolences to the UK Israeli Ambassador for the dreadful atrocities committed against the Jewish people by islamists. I am praying for Israel. It’s easy to do this on line. You can Google the USA Ambassador and get the email address and add your note of solidarity.

Hi all. 48 f here at 430 am. Will be going to walmart and home depot at 6. Other than that, should be a typical day.

There is no sense to it, Jackie. It is their life they choose, or were indoctrinated into. You aren't forced to hate others, you're taught. At some point it consumes them, like a poison, and they have no other purpose to fulfill their sad lives, than to hate someone or something. I wish, it weren't so.

Hate is evil add a "d" to evil and who do you have?

Jackie, I guess some sects (?) simply do not believe in live and let live.
If Christians ever used the sword to win souls it has escaped my knowing.
Killing babies and elderly? Killing each in military is barbaric enough, but
necessary.
I always return to , "As God wills."

One thing is for sure...." there will NEVER be peace on earth. " There never has, there never will..

If satan is the founder and director of your religion all barbarism and evil will be seen in you.

All we ask for is PEACE, we are here for such a short time, do good, do not do bad..and change our planet our world for the better..not demolish it..

This morning it occurred to me this morning ,
we became terribly incensed when Hamas killed
babies. Hundreds of babies are killed each day here 
in abortion clinics. Fact: Some parts are taken from 
a baby while it lives. 
May God have  mercy on us all.

Good evening all. John and I went to our eye doctor yesterday and John's eyes are now healed.  He will get his new glasses in a couple of weeks. As for me I will probably get mine soon . Found out about my left eye and it's not good news either. I have macular degeneration in my left eye and it will effect my right eye eventually. I'm not taking this news to well and have been crying. Trying to reach my other family, cousins but so far no luck. Please keep both of us in your thoughts and prayers. I have 2 appointments in December at University of Iowa Hospital and Clincs unless the weather gets bad or can't get a ride.

Margie, I hope and pray it doesn't affect the other eye.
As we age it seems we ae destined to lose something 
of our blessing as a younger person. It is very difficult.
However not unbearable. I knew people with difficult
health burdens when I worked as a Home Health Caregiver.
I think the effects of a stroke may be the most difficult with
which to live. Trying to verbalize one's thoughts, knowing
what you wish to say yet unable to put it into words.
Margie, I do pray that you can retain your sight always.

No plans here, we are at a cool temp of 45F this morning. I'm going to venture into making a couple of videos this morning. I'm still trying to learn “The Sultans of Swing” on the guitar, probably one of the hardest I have ever tried.

Got up too fast this morning, and made a nice small pot, of hot water. Seems I overlooked putting the coffee in the filter,

Well, I'm down to seeds and stems again.  If you don't know the meaning of that phrase, you didn't grow up in the hippie generation.

LFF, I'm familiar with the phrase.
I'm concentrating on Windwalker's coffee creation.
I recently put the coffee into the pot, filter as well.
I forgot to add the water. This brings up the thought
that it takes two to make the morning coffee ! 
Today I made my morning coffee to perfection AND
am now enjoying a cup of perfect afternoon coffee!
(I love black coffee. Upon advice from my second son.
I now add a tiny bit of Ghost pepper to the cup. It's
excellent.)

LFF, having been born and raised in Michigan, you may recall
the history of the most terrible school bombing before
the Columbine killing? I believe? 
Today there was a reminder of the Bath School bombing.
A man who was a neighbor of ours, a few years ago.
loaned us the book telling the story. His brother was among 
the children killed.
If I can find it again,I will try to post it here.

LFF, I had no idea about it until the neighbor loaned us the book.
Terrible , horrible things to do. He even tied his horses  legs so they couldn't run and left them in the fire of his own home place. 
Enough about that.

I wish we could all get along.

Good morning to all. Most of us, are good people in the human race. We have a few factions that infect the others, like a disease. Only by eradicating that disease, can you have good health and people. Hatred is a mental sickness that will consume people.

Good morning all. It's the weekend here but no plans as of yet. Was warm here yesterday in the 70's. Crazy weather. Thanks for all your kind words and prayers for us both. We really appreciate it. Got a message from several friends that they always had macular degeneration to. One told me her husband is now taking eye drops for this. Told me to look it up on Google. Will do that.

My Brother in law has Macular degeneration.  I'll be getting my eyes tested soon.
Weather in Saugatuck, where I work can be quite a bit different than in Allegan, where I live.  Doing inventory at the store.  What a pain!

Well, I got my mini computer restored, now if I can just remember how some programs were set.

Sending prayers your way Margie.  My late momma had macular degeneration in both eyes one was really bad.  She called it tunnel vision.

Good afternoon all.

When I did Home Health Care for an agency
we were in structed to put on glasses, place 
a black paper spot on the center on the glasses
and see what Macular degeneration is like. 
I suspect I may be in early stage in my left eye.
I am still able to see perfectly well, but at night
the center of the left eye seems less clear.

... I was given an Amsler Chart ( what you are describing ) last time i went for an eye check 4 months ago...They are keeping a check on my left eye, so far so good but, because i told them it has become slightly blurry this year compared to my right eye which is good vision for my age..

I can read the first 4 lines, but they don't make any sense!

So far, I'm chugging along okay. I've always had bad eyesight in my right eye but the left if good. Night vision is beginning at 71. I don't see as well in the dark these days.

I haven't driven at night for years now with one exception.....I can attend the little church on my street at night for there are no highways to travel on.

I let Sheri do all the driving now.  Her eyes are 12 years younger than mine.

Back from having my flu vaccination, had an 8.35am appointment, went on my mobility scooter, a 20 minute trip...I cant understand why many have both their covid and flu vaccinations together, as somebody said to me the other day, if you have any reaction, you would not know if it is from the flu or the covid...I left a gap of 2 weeks plus...First flu jab in 53 years when i was 19..

I don't plan on getting a covid shot again.

Don't worry about the flu, they have another blight for us. Seems there are cases cropping up, in people who haven't travelled. They are coming down with Denge fever. Gee, wonder how that got in here from South America, Africa, after all these years.

Oh no!  What will they come up with next?

Hm from mosquitoes...Brings me back to memories of living in St Lucia West Indies 41 years ago...The locals were terrified of them, us British and Canadians visiting lit mosquito coils in our bedrooms at night to ward them off..

I remember seeing those coils advertised during the intermission at the drive-in theater.
