I'll be heading out to dawn's later this morning, with a picture of her cat, Zoey.  It still hasn't returned.  It's been 5 days since it disappeared.
I have to get a Subway card yet, and my buying is done for this year.
Right now, I'm going to have a Meals on Wheels goulash dinner.

Margie, It warms my heart that the churches do their
best to feed the less fortunate. A single female who,
lives in our trailer park gets so much food, she shares 
it with others who live here. She passes it along to me.
Knowing that we are blessed with enough, I pass it along
to others. There is so much food wasted in this country,
it's shameful and sad.

LFF, I hope Zoey has been found. Animals will venture 
outdoors if given the chance, just as toddlers will
Oh, I'm so glad you mentioned the "Paw Thaw" at 
Family Farm and Home. We have one nearby.

I went to Kohl's this morning to exchange a pair of jeans.
I had 30% off, bought two pair of my favorite jeans due
to weight loss and needing a size smaller. 
Both pair said "Classic Rise" which I like. 
I like my waistband at my waist, not my hipbones. Finally
found the correct size, measured the rise and waistband
to avoid another trip to exchange again!
I did laundry, a  of whites. Soon I will visit my doggie.

It's a beautiful day here. I hope it is where you are.

Wrapped gifts yesterday- all done except for 2 of them, which should arrive Monday.  Not sending out cards- that way, no one gets overlooked.
Today, I already took Chipper out in the rain at 6:30 (Took him out in the rain at 2:30 this morning too.)  Will have some Peanut Butter and Peach Jam sandwiches this morning.  Maybe have a 'meals on wheels' dinner for lunch.
Will be picking up Dawn, bringing her here shortly after one this afternoon.  Have no other plans for today yet.

I'm having lemon iced tea with my breakfast of Tilapia, rice, and spinach.  Going out to visit my Mom later.

Re: Christmas card sending.
I think I will send to whomever sends one to me.
That's one way to cut back for myself and others.

I did two loads of laundry this morning, showered and shampooed
my hair. Every time I shampoo, I declare I'm cutting it short! Hair
is supposed to be a woman's shining glory. It is often a royal pain.

I will soon visit my little Canine friend.
P.S. Did Zoey return? Did you see the story of the dog who either 
ran away of was stolen. Not to be found. Lady owner went to work.
She heard a commotion. A dog had wandered  into the store where
she works, it was her dog!

Talked to Dawn today.  No Zoey yet.  She said that if she knew Zoey was taken in by some elderly woman who needed companionship, she could live with that.

Had a phone call early this morning, telling me there's going to be county food distribution this week again.  I'll leave that for the needy and the wealthy.  I may go to the grocery store for some cheesecake, when I take Chipper for his walk...

The food giveaway, I applaud you for thinking of the underprivileged.
Still, if they have plenty, taking a little doesn't seem wrong to me.

Sad day today......I tried to cheer up by putting up the small tree.  I thought about not putting it up at all for it is hard for me anymore....but I got to thinking.....Christ is in Christmas and this may be the last year we can have a "Christmas" Tree in our homes.....it may be the "Happy Holidays" Tree from now on or even will we be allowed to even have a tree?  I do not trust the "forbidden" one.

Also, it's true that we don't know what direction the country, or even the WORLD will go.

Hi all!  Today is off to a good start here.  Was up at 4:52.  Opened my eyes, sat up, and saw Chipper sitting there, patiently watching me.  Took him outside, walked around a bit, and then sat by the picnic bench for about 20minutes.  Will take Chipper downtown later.  Have no other plans, presently.

Woke up at 5:51 this morning, took Chipper out to water the neighbor's tree, and a couple other spots.  Then, we came back in, and Chipper went back to bed.  I, on the other hand, turned on the TV and computer. took my vitals, my pills, and began checking my emails, and here I am!
Have no plans for today, other than taking Chipper downtown.  And I'm in no rush to do that.

2.Flat Rock has at least one church which feeds the hungry on
  Wednesday. I believe they also give food. Just the food the neighbor 
  young lady gives me to pass along is quite a large amount. 

3.You think I deserve a day off. I took that seriously and am taking another

Glad, I understand your sadness at the season.
The memories of happier days. Each year it seems
someone else is missing from our family.
Also the turn our country has taken.

Dawn called.  Zoey is back.  She came to the door of the lady downstairs, cold and hungry, but now Dawn has the little cat.
Well, the lady below Dawn lost her cat 2 weeks ago, so she asked Dawn "May I keep her?"  Dawn told her yes.

The pale blue, when highlighted, but I can't seem to duplicate the red text.  Might be one of those gremlins roaming the internet.  They're harmless.

Feeling a little chilly this morning.  Have to put my slippers on.
Having smoked sausage and baked beans for break the fast.  Will probably take Chipper for a walk later.

An unusual breakfast, but I always ate odd things

I have been in a kind of funk today. Not sure why.
All I have accomplished is getting a few more 
Christmas cards ready to mail.

Okay.  A week till Christmas.  I guess I'll have to take a shower today.  I have a 'wellness' visit with my doctor this afternoon.  looking forward to that.  I haven't seen her  in over a year.

Saw my doctor yesterday.  Had seen a male P.A. in her office the last few times, but he's not there anymore.  Doctor was pleased with my readings .  I'm also down to 288 lbs.!
Took Chipper out at 4:10 this morning.  Will take him out again shortly.  Will be picking Dawn up at 1:00 today.  Excuse me while I go make some French Toast now.

Strange SATW. Yesterday I couldn't
access forum. Today no problem.

I did very little aside from visiting my little doggie.
I did sign a few Christmas cards and mailed a birthday
card to a nephew / on his birthday because I forgot!

Seriously, it kept telling me I needed to sign in.
Today everything went smoothly as usual. I'm
of the opinion that miniscule men work inside computers,
racing too and fro , sending our messages, seeing to it
that our posts are expertly placed where they should be.
I believe some evenings, after a long days work, they
become bored and tired and begin messing with us in

I can't find them.  They must be really good at hiding!
Chipper will not wear sweaters, raincoats, or boots.  Have tried.  Glad Chuckie likes his sweater.

Woke up very early this morning.  My hand was itching like crazy!  After wringing my hands for close to an hour, I took Chipper out at 4:30, and stayed up after that.  I tried washing my hands with dish soap, then putting lotion on my hands.  Nothing helped.  Then, I had the idea of taking some Benedryl.  That's helped, so I'm guessing something bit me on the hand during the night.  Better buy more Benedryl!
Anyway (As Ellen DeGeneres would say), Today, I'll be taking Dawn home, probably meet her cat, Gracie, and head home again, jiggety jig!

Woke up this morning at about 3.  Took Chipper outside, then came back in and slept for another 4 hours.Have no big plans today yet.
I did get to meet Dawn's cat, Gracie- nice cat!  She did well, having been home alone for about 26 hours.

Hello everyone, has trouble finding Shout with iPad.
We are upset as we had daughter and family coming over for Christmas but the govt. has put us into lockdown and we can’t meet up. The corona virus is still spreading and there’s a new strain. The vaccine is here but not enough for everyone and the over 80’s and care workers getting it first. We are sheltering at home but today I woke up with vertigo and still don’t feel right.
Friends have brought round Christmas gifts but we only had brief outdoor chats with them. How much longer will this miserable state of affairs last?

So sorry to hear this, 2Anne.  Sure hope you get to feeling better.  They're talking here of this going on into the middle of 2021.

Let's get the barrel rolling today at 5:30 a.m..  Been up for an hour.  Took Chipper out then.  He's sleeping now.
Having water for breakfast, and hope to go for a blood test in a couple of hours, but have no other plans after that, except to maybe make some pancakes.

Okay!  Here we go with December 23!  Tomorrow, winter starts here, weatherwise.  We'll get our first accumulation of the white stuff, so they say.  In the meantime, driving conditions should be good for me to take my Mom to her appointment at the cancer center.  After I bring my Mom home, we'll do our gift exchange.

I don’t know what’s happened to the font on here but I can hardly read posts even with my glasses on. The weather here is rain and more rain followed up by high winds on Boxing Day . Our garden is waterlogged and no doubt some poor souls will experience floods.
My husband is disappointed as golf course closed until next Monday. He was planning to play tomorrow.
I have had vertigo the last three days and been in bed lying down or I feel dizzy and nauseous. Realise that I could not have visited daughter in this condition anyway. Very unpleasant to experience and reading it up on web didn’t help as it said it could last weeks. I’m much improved today as long as I don’t overdo it. Managed with help to cook lunch. Husband did all clearing up. Turkey thawing out from freezer it’s a funny shape so hope it’s ok. It’s far too big and a large helping will be back in freezer.

We haven't changed the font here, 2Anne.  You may have accidentally hit brightness, contrast, or highlight on your display.  Is the text on other sites okay?

Ask your husband if he has trouble reading this?  You might be experiencing a temporary side effect of the vertigo.

No it’s not the vertigo. Font size is small and I need a bright light and glasses to read. Maybe it’s my iPad.

I have been quite busy lately and seem to have missed some posts.
One day I baked Oatmeal fudge bars for Christmas.
One day I did some laundry. Every day I visited Little Chuckie.
Today is still open, although I did scrub the kitchen floor, my bathroom
floor, will soon visit my little doggie.

Happy Christmas Joyous. Those oatmeal fudge bars sound yummy. I know I will overeat this Christmas.

I had to sneak into the Oatmeal fudge bars this afternoon.
Due to an allergy, ice cream is a NoNo for awhile. I took
one bar and it satisfied me.
I will celebrate Christmas at the home of Bill, my #2 son tomorrow evening
and Christmas Day evening at the home of Tim, #3 son. #1 son, Kelly, and 
his lady are afraid of exposure to COVID. 
Therefore I will only be seeing him through the
storm door. AS a nephew says, "They drank the Kool aid."
Daughter and #4 son, Charles, will be with me, I hope.

Took my Mom to her appointment at the cancer center, brought my Mom home to her house, and she, my Sister and husband, and I exchanged gifts, and I came home in the dark.  Then I had to get Chipper outside, unloaded my car, stocked the fridge and freezer, fed Chipper, and now I'm having supper.

I can't call Dawn, as she's out of minutes, but I can text her, which is a pain on my flip phone.  Anyway, I may text her in a couple of hours to see if I can bring her Christmas stuff out to her this morning, and visit a bit, and forego a Christmas dinner, rather than pick her up tomorrow, bring her to my apartment, do our gift exchange, and have Christmas dinner here, before I take her home.  Predictions are for 1 to 3 inches of snow today, and 4 to 6 inches tomorrow!

Merry Christmas all!  Plans have changed.  I couldn't go over to Dawn's yesterday, as she had Kevin visiting.  Roads were pretty icy yesterday anyway.  I went to the Speedway store, where I've gotten gas years before, but the man there said the music wouldn't play. (Sorry, I kind of lapsed into the song, American Pie)
Anyway, my car went a little squirrely on the Delano Street curve, at about 20 mph, and I slid into the oncoming traffic lane.  Fortunately, the car on the other side of the curve was traveling slowly too.
I'll be staying home today- perhaps make some pancakes for breakfast.

Mornin' all!  Got up at 3:54 this morning with the little pink bladder guy from the commercials.  Chipper got up too, so I took him outside for a bit.  Came back in, and flipped on the tube.  There's not a whole lot on the local stations this early..  Will be headed over to Dawn's at noon today.  Newest plans were to bring her over here to make meat loaf, but I have so much food in the fridge right now, from the ladies here at the apartments, I'm going to try to talk Dawn into having our gift exchange at her apartment, and let her stay home with Gracie.

We had a lovely Christmas yesterday as daughter, husband and baby arrived for Christmas lunch. It was so nice to see them and they had a cop free journey to and from our homes.
Between us we had masses of presents and Oscar was more interested in exploring our gas fire than his toys.
I hope everyone else had a nice day and enjoyed their Christmas break. Sounds like you have been kept busy by family and chipper LFF.
