We had a lovely Christmas yesterday as daughter, husband and baby arrived for Christmas lunch. It was so nice to see them and they had a cop free journey to and from our homes.
Between us we had masses of presents and Oscar was more interested in exploring our gas fire than his toys.
I hope everyone else had a nice day and enjoyed their Christmas break. Sounds like you have been kept busy by family and chipper LFF.

2Anne, how wonderful to have a little grandchild at Christmas.

I had two Christmas evenings. Christmas Eve at one son's home.
On the way we stopped for a quick hug (Head turned away) from my
firstborn son. He and his dear mate fear COVID. 
Then on to second son. His dear wife also had her large family of
Italian heritage. My firstborn grandson and his mate didn't join us
because they also fear COVID.
Yesterday was a horrific drive to third son's. Thankfully my daughter drove.
Otherwise I would have stayed home.
Christmas morning a niece in South Carolina made an internet Face time 
between her mom (My little sister) and me. 
I'm sure you have heard about the RV explosion in Nashville, TN.
The only life taken was the guy who set off the explosion. Lots of damage.

Today's plans have changed again.  Now, I'll be taking Dawn's gifts to her apartment at 2.  Will do gift exchange there, and will bring Dawn home with me, she'll spend the night, and go to church in the morning.  I'll take her home after that.

Good evening all. Sorry I haven't been around much. But I decided to come and say Hello. Had a nice , quiet Christmas together just the 2 of us yesterday. We exchanged Christmas cards to. We didn't buy anything for each other this year. But we get things throughout the year so that's okay with us. It seems funny that Sassy our little dog has been gone a month now. Our house is empty without her but maybe in the spring we will get a new dog. I hope all of you here had a Wonderful Christmas.

Mornin' all!  Another Christmas has come and gone.  Celebrated it on the 23rd at my Mom's, due to the weather, and my being there anyway, after taking my Mom to an appointment.  Did a gift exchange between Dawn and me yesterday.  Then brought her here, and she made spaghetti last night.
I'm having bean and ham soup for breakfast today, courtesy of Pam, upstairs here, and tonight, will be eating Chinese, courtesy of Sherri, down the hall.
This afternoon, I'll be taking Dawn home.  There's a sign on the front door at Dawn's senior building, stating that only emergency personnel are allowed in the building, due to the vulnerability of the senior residents.

Margie, I'm thankful that you and your man can still celebrate
Christmas together. In spite of Sassy not being with you, you 
have such dear memories.

LFF, COVID has managed to separate each of us from someone we love.
I believe I already mentioned my own dear ones who hunker down.
A daughter in law's aunt is in a Senior building and disallowed visitors.
Her sister connected with her on Face Time (Or whatever it is!) and we
were all able to chat and share Christmas love.

Today I stole my car from my daughter for awhile. My mate needed a new
battery for his truck. I enjoyed driving because I had all the streets to myself.
Hardly any cars out and even with low temps, the cold didn't bother me.
I did a load of laundry, showered, had lunch. Lovely day!

Glad you could get out for a bit, Joyous!  Chipper and I took Dawn home, and then came back to Allegan and walked on the riverfront.

We're going to have the temperature sticking right around freezing all day today.  Feeling lazy today, so I might stick around here quite a bit today.

We didn’t go for our usual walk as I had wet hair and it was 1C outside. I think husband missed it.
Seems very quiet after Christmas. We can only see one person outside and it’s too cold for that. We feel blessed to have seen daughter and family on Christmas Day, what a treat that was. 
Oscar is one on the 9 th January and we hope to visit before then. Winter weather permitting. The worst is freezing fog, it frightens me. I hope the weather is good with Shouters and roll on the new year .🧸

LFF, we have 34 degrees and melting snow, thankfully.

Yesterday's beginning on a high note ended in the night 
trying to see my oldest son at the hospital. It seems he 
may have suffered a seizure. He has in the past, 
due to a brain injury. 
When we were all home, my granddaughter suffered a seizure.
It had been 3 years since she had one. Bless her.
So there is a flip side to all coins. Still, we're a very close family. All
but one of my children and two grandchildren stood outside the hospital,
until I told them I am freezing and we all went home.
And in spite of my tears and begging, I was locked out of the hospital.
His nurse, Erica, came out to the entry and explained everything, 
allowed me to hug her, called later and allowed my son to talk to me.
He insisted on signing himself out and went home.
I know there are many who suffered far worse things.

Wow Joyous!  I'll pray for your Son and Granddaughter!

LFF, thank you from my heart.

I was up with Chipper at 1, up with the little pink guy at 4, then woke at 7, after a bad dream, in which, Dawn and I were in a small room with a big metal vent pipe that extended from the crawl space, through the floor, and the ceiling. The pipe started moving up and down, waking Dawn.   I went outside where 3 kids were sitting on the edge of the roof, laughing.  I angrily lifted them from the roof, and set them on the ground, and they ran off.  Shortly after this, my Dad came home from his second shift job, and a black pickup backed up by the outside door.  The Father of one of the kids I had taken off the roof came storming in spouting something about my pulling his kid off the roof and throwing him on the ground.  He attacked me, I slammed him into the wall, and then my Dad defused the situation.  I told the guy to bring his kid in and ask him to lie in front of me. Then I woke from my dream, took Chipper out, and calmed down.
Will make French toast for breakfast today, then take Chipper downtown later, before our next winter storm.

I have about three dreams from many years ago which remain clear as can be.

Yes.  I don't remember many dreams, but I sure remembered that one!

I suspect you may have been flailing about in your bed too.

Blanket was across the room, dresser was knocked over, something smashed my window!
I'm kidding.  I may have flinched a little, but my Mom and Dad were not there.  Looked at everything in the room. (nothing was apparent.)

Took Chipper out at about 11 last night, and was surprised at having 2 inches of fresh snow.  This morning, when Chipper scratched at my recliner at 3:52, I could still see my footprints from last night, so the transition to freezing rain must have been about the time we were out last night.  Seeing that rain is predicted for all day, pretty much, I don't have plans for going anywhere.  I might work on transferring some stuff from the storage closet off my patio to the bedroom.

Since my daddy died, I only dreamed of him once.
He was in my blue Plymouth. I approached him.
He said, "I'm not here for you!"

I'm not psychic. When my stepmother died, I went home (Michigan to South Carolina)
and I had this feeling that I would step around a corner and she would be there. I had
never spoken harshly to my daddy. However, when he told me I should get some sleep,
I said, "Leave me the hell alone!" It was as if part of me stood aside and someone else
spoke. I always felt there was some part of Mother that used me to speak to him.
Maybe I'm just nutty as a fruitcake?

Didn't know if anyone would understand my 'apparent' reference.  I should have known you would get it, Joyous!

LFF, I have learned to expect these amusements from you.
Therefore, I watch for the opportunity.

I'm guessing, "Sit down and drink your coffee!"

Almost time to visit Little Chuckie. I long to buy him gifts often 
because he LOVES getting gifts. He chewed on the Deer antler,
 awhile, stopped, came to me to sit on my lap as if to say, "Thank you!"
then back to his new toy.

Last day of the year!  I'll be happy to say good bye to 2020.  Sure hope 2021 is better for us.
I'm having noodles and spaghetti sauce for breakfast.  I've already showered (for the last time this year), shaved, and I'm ready to face the day!
Sherri brought some sausage over, and I can have those with pancakes tonight.
Took the tree and Christmas decorations down yesterday, moved some more stuff from the storage closet off the patio to the bedroom, and have no big plans for today.

I almost always have done so to begin the New Year
with a clean slate.
2020 has been one for the history books for sure.
I'm hoping, praying even for a blessed 2021. Still,
things could have been far worse. 
I too showered, after vacuuming all carpeted area.
Then off to Meijer for their roasted chicken for lunch.
I will now visit my Little Chuckie.

(Two younger than myself men died this week. Both )
(in my former husband's family by adoption and marriage.)
Losing anyone is sad to me. I begin to wonder if there will 
be anyone I know left by the end of my own time here.
As GOD wills, but it feels lonely.
