Didn't hear it.  I try not to listen to those things.  I don't need the stress.

Took Chipper out at 4 this morning.  Have a podiatrist appointment at 8:30.  Taking Dawn to Kalamazoo at 4 this afternoon.  Hopefully the roads will be decent...

"Absolute Proof" shouldn't cause stress. It simply proves that the 2020 election was rigged.

Today I will visit my doggie.

Now Dawn wants me to pick up her prescriptions before I go get her and take her to Kalamazoo.

Chipper took me outside at 4 this morning.  The light snow wafting in the air was lovely.  Dawn has a telehealth appointment on my computer this morning.  Then, I'll be taking her to a meeting.  Then I'll be in for the day, I hope.

I visited my son and his/my doggie.
I walked home, very short walk, and 
managed to avoid ice. It felt so good to manage
on my own again. My daughter advised me to drink more water,
which I'm doing and it seems to be helping.

Today, Chipper woke me  at 3:10 this morning to go outside, so I took him outside- came back in and snoozed till 7:50.  Took Chipper outside again, and when I came back in, after going to the jim, I rearranged my walk-in closet, put a load of wash in the washer (now in the dryer)  and now, I think I'll make some pancakes.

LFF, I wonder what the remainder of your day was like.

So far, I washed the white laundry, dried and folded.
I had thought of calling my niece in TN. Almost every day
I thought of calling Lisa. Today, I actually called. 
We talked and laughed for at least an hour. She is my older 
(now departed this life) sister's youngest child.
I may finish my coffee and visit the wee doggie.
Although the sun shines, it's still cold.

Yes.  Temps are still a little chilly here.  We're at today's high of 20F, and I was going to visit my Mom today, but I may just wait till tomorrow's sunny weather.  
I burned 2 of my 7 pancakes.  Didn't set the fire alarm off, and I ate 5 pancakes, then one of the burned ones.  The 7th one was a little too much, so I'll dump that one.  Maybe I'll throw it out for the birds.

The birds know when the temps are going to be low.  I had like 8 finches at a time on my 2 finch socks yesterday.
Today, I should probably go out to my Mom's.  Will email my Sister and see what she thinks.
Last night, Sheri made pizza, had me over, and we played a few games of marbles.

cold and icy outside......I reschuleded (spelling wrong and spell check not correcting it) anyway I will see the nurse practioner on Mar 1 instead of today.

chili I made yesterday tastes better today warmed over.  Having a bowl now....this morning we had bacon and eggs and toast.

Too bad you couldn't have had your appointment online, Glad.

I could have but would rather see her in person.....only two weeks or so to wait......I was just at the diabetic doctor last week.

Today is February 12- Lincoln's birthday, if I recall my History correctly.  Do they teach that in school nowasays, or do they just refer to 'Presidents Day' in reference to all presidents?
Sheri came over with her Grandson last night, and we played a couple of games of marbles.  Was fun!  Lost track of time.
Took Chipper out at 11:30 last night.  He woke me to go outside at 3 this morning.  Took him out at 6:30 again, when I got up.  Have no plans for today yet.

Glad, sometimes Spellcheck can be annoying.
At other times, spellcheck saves the bother of
dragging out a dictionary.

LFF, I imagine the birds appreciate any food,
burned or not.
Our feeder and suet cage seem to have a lineup
all day long.
Yesterday we had Lentil soup with carrot, onion, garlic,
tomato, celery added to chicken broth. Today we ate leftover soup
with Pillsbury Grand biscuits. Yummy.
Went to ALDI, visited the doggie, did a little cleaning. Washed some
new sheets. From the dryer, they came out wrinkled. 
I was tempted to iron them.

I put new finch socks out back yesterday, and now the snow under them is black, I'm assuming with thistle seed hulls.

Man Joyous I would not iron sheets but reminds me of when I first got married....ironed everything including hubby's t shirts and underwear but we had no dryer back then.

My church is giving out free food and I am proud to get it....it is government commodities and the sausage patties are wonderful!  The boxes are nice not a lot but mostly fresh veggies and milk products.  And a few potatoes and apples.  I gladly accept it. 

LFF it is sad they don't teach kids history anymore......if the President was a Republican then our kids will probably never hear about them

LFF, the ground beneath our feeder is also black,
with Sunflower seed hulls. Obviously the seeds as well
because squirrels fight over it all morning.

Glad, I used to hang the wash on a clothesline and sheets didn't need ironing.
I enjoyed hanging fresh washing out early in the morning. These new sheets are
the Gizza Dream sheets made by Mike Lindell and I figure not knowing who may 
have handled them they should be washed. I put too many (4) sheets in the drier
(dryer?) and they came out wrinkled.

Too bad they aren't made of the same material as the $80 pajamas I got my Mom for her birthday- silky soft and smooth, and they don't wrinkle.

Well, your mom will enjoy sleeping in her birthday suit/PJs.

The sheets are made of cotton from some area, I forget where.
I dried two sets at once and it was too crowded, I think.

Sheri and her Grandson came over to play marbles last night.  She won the first game.  Didn't get to finish the second game because Sheri had a bad neck ache.  I sent her home with some Icy Hot spray.
She blamed it on a physical workout she'd done earlier, but I think it was tension from her Grandson's hyperness, due to a sugar buzz he had from the orange Crush he was drinking.
Today, Dawn wants me to pick her up in Otsego at 1:30, along with her friend, Michelle, take her home, with a stop for some weed.  Then bring Dawn here to make tacos.

Well LFF, there goes your game.

I woke with slight congestion in the bronchial passages.
With my tendency to congestion, I decided to forego my
usual visit to my little Chuckie. I miss him already, but
I think I need a down day. The congestion seems to have
abated, but I'm staying put. (Sorry my little friend!)

I believe a mule is a hard worker.

I need to take Chipper out soon, and take him with me to go pick up Dawn.

Today is Valentine's Day, and I'll be spending it with Chipper.  Today is My Mom's birthday too.  She's 94.  She's already gotten her card from me, and a pair of silky pajamas that she LOVES!  I probably won't call her because she doesn't answer the phone because she can't hear the caller.    I'll wait and see if Sheri calls for me to take her dog out this morning.

LFF, regarding your admission of stopping to allow someone to pick up weed brought about the Mule retort. A mule carries the drugs, I believe.

Today I washed bed linen and also my outerwear.
I visited Little Chuckie. We enjoyed being outside
because it wasn't cold. He searched for ice cycles,
which he loves to chew. However, my son says NO.

He was forced to do his work in secret due to restrictions

Tyndale's translation no longer exists. Most copies were burned
as soon as possible. The existing Church didn't allow Bibles to be copied
at that time. Luther had done so, but I don't recall the years. Tyndale
did his work mostly during the 1500s. I believe a scrap remains of
some of his work.

I could visit Marianne. He never answered. As she was living in their home, I
thought it best to ask before going there.

She loved being there.

I didn't ask David.  I asked Marianne.  She was well enough to have visitors then- but only for a few minutes.  Then she got tired.

I believe it was near the end of her life that we planned to go.

also mentioned that Solwyn (?) was sometimes (?) less than
happy with the situation. Those are not her exact words, but
to that meaning. Not wishing to cause any disturbance, I did ask.

with his mother. It was meant to be. I'm glad you met her.

Marianne told me about Solwyn.  Marianne told me Solwyn was very shy, but she told me that when we were sitting on folding chairs in their sparsely furnished living room.  I did catch a glimpse of Solwyn, as she walked from one room to another.

Took Chipper out at 4 this morning, when he got me up.  Temperatures are a little chilly here this morning.  Was 66F inside, so I turned on the heat.  Up to 66 in here now.  My new humidifier is working great.  Humidity inside here is 40%.
Will be heading to Zeeland later to file for a property tax rebate.

It's only 9:07 A.M.
Therefore, not much done. I am dressed, big accomplishment, aye?
Put away yesterday's laundry. Rather than use electric/gas to dry, I
give my clothes a few spins to get wrinkles out. Then hang them on
a tripod rack. By morning they're dry.
I have been checking "Garden Stew" forum to see if anyone answered
my question about growing sweet potatoes. No answer yet. I will now
email a southern cousin. Her husband will surely know if I can grow them
from sprouted sweet potatoes or buy Slips as I think my parents did. Glad,
you may know!
Later today I will visit my wee doggie friend.

I don't much care for sweet potatoes.

Oh, I love sweet potatoes. I eat sweet potato pie
at Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie.

There is nothing so rewarding than eating homemade veggie soup on a cold and snowy day like today.

We have about 10 inches on the ground and more coming down.

Hope everyone in the cold places are keeping warm.....I saw a news report that 25 states of America is affected by this current winter storm.......including the warm state of Texas~

Joyous you can grow sweet potatoes from store bought potatoes.  I usually have some little ones left from the garden that sprout over the winter and I have success growing from them.

13F/-11C here.  We've been in the storm for about 20 minutes- all snow here.  Probably will last all night.  I have to leave for Grand Rapids in about 12 hours.  Hoping most of this will be past.  I'll tell ya'.  I'm sure glad I have new tires on my car...

We received about 6 inches of snow from that 'winter storm' last night.  Looks pretty clear this morning.  I'll be leaving in a couple of hours for Grand Rapids to get my second covid shot.  Hope the roads are cleared up a bit.

I got my first dose a week ago today and 3 weeks to the second.  They are giving me the Merdena.  My mom got her 2nd Psifer about 10 days ago now.  Her birthday is tomorrow and she will turn 100!

Wish your Mom a happy birthday from me, Glad.
Driving to Grand Rapids this morning was a little hairy, but got there okay.  Got in early.  They gave me my second Pfizer dose, and coming home was a piece of cake!

Thanks for the sweet potato advice. I just learned that sweet potato leaves 
are also edible and nutritious. I think we will start out with an organic
sweet potato from a health food store, let it grow slips and plant them.

LFF, we had about 6 inches of snow overnight. I stood by the window as
the snow was driven horizontally by extreme wind. I prayed heartily
and humbly for any folks out there driving and that trailers wouldn't blow
away. Thankfully I didn't hear of anyone who was harmed.
I didn't visit my little friend today,

Sheri came over, quite distressed over being stuck inside, with nowhere to go, and nothing to do.  Needed someone to talk to.  Crying, she poured out her soul to me.  Wisely, I didn't ask her anything personal- just let her get it out.  Said she might come over later to play.

Big plans here for today.  I asked Alexa for the outside temperature when I got up, and she told me it was 5F.  So I'm not in a big rush to do anything.  the snowpack is crunchy on the sidewalk.
