I got the grass mowed yesterday, so today I'm going to do nothing. I think it will feel good.

Took Freckles for a walk in his stroller.

Did anyone talk to Freckles LFF? While you walked out.

Nope.  Didn't see many people= 3 grounds workers.  One of them smiled at Freckles, an older couple that was setting up for a reception or something, a guy sitting on a bench staring intently at his phone, and two young women who gave us a wide berth.

Scrubbed the kitchen floor, ? garden work no rain, but plenty hot. Visited Little Chuckie, whom I have begun calling Little Boy.
Must call my brother in S.C. to tell him a package will be delivered by Amazon tomorrow. It's very hot there and I ordered the Cooling cloths for him and his wife. I have used mine for a few years in extremely hot weather. Just wet it in cold water, wrap on neck and if large, also shoulders. When it warms, take it off, shake it and it gets cool again.

Just did a final evening check on one of our gardens. Lo and behold, the &@)&!>? Groundhogs have bested me once more. We fenced all the gardens, anchored the fences. While I was inside, a Groundhog ate all the leaves off our Butternut squash plant and every leaf off the sweet potato plant, even though it is in a half plastic drum. I'm fearful they may go for the Bell peppers next.

The poor things have to eat, Nell.

We have muntjacs deer and rabbits eating in our garden. I have had to give up planting veg as they eat everything. Previous ranch owner grew everything under glass but I can’t be bothered.  Buy from the supermarkets which are not expensive.

I don't eat fresh veggies.
Michelle texted me last night.  Wants to take me to breakfast this morning.  Will be leaving soon.

LFF you do need to eat veg for a balanced diet. I love courgettes, leeks and broccoli. Delicious. Veg are pricey in the States but cheap in the UK.

No plans for today, maybe spray some weeds to kill them, and then run to the pharmacy.

I will admit that I'm a little mentally imbalanced, but I take pills for that.
Michelle bought breakfast this morning for us, gave me a little cash.  All I had to give her was a hug and kiss.
I went to walmart and picked up a few things.  Do mayonaise and tartar sauce count as vegetables?.

No they are not veggies LFF but go great with them.

Today is house cleaning day.  And will fold the towels I washed yesterday.  Also will start weeding out things from my closet again.  Clothes do not well anymore.  Thank goodness for thrift stores where I can find clothing cheaper.

Michelle bought 2 Columbia Fleece jackets, regularly 60 bucks each, for 36.99 each yesterday.  Actually, her Mom bought them for her.
I've worn the same light parka every winter for the last 7 years!

Nothing wrong with wearing the same items for a long time.  Style makes no difference to me.

Tomorrow is Dawn's birthday.  Any idea what I can get for her?  She's 57.

Love the sunflowers in the new theme. They were Michael's favorite flower. It's going to be a hot one today.

2Anne, we have Farm markets where veggies are reasonable, but I enjoy growing our own food when possible. Last year we shared a lot with neighbors. Thanks to critters, and lack of rain, we won't even
have enough for our own freezer. Poor farmers depend on their crops.

I love the new theme color!

Good morning to all. A nice morning here in the South. Partly cloudy and no rain expected. I thought about working around the house today, but then I think I'll just lay down until that feeling passes.

Sounds good, Windwalker!  Michelle took me to breakfast, and I stopped by walmart.
Was up every 2 hours last night, so going to take a nap!

Thanks Windwalker.  Since it was summer thought I would get some sunshine colors for a couple of months.  Next time we will be into fall and that is a very colorful time.

Sleep well LFF.  I did not get up til 8:30 this morning.  Was nice sleeping in.

Turned in at 8:30 last night, then I was up every 2 hours last night,and then i got a text from Michelle at 4 a.m., offering to buy me breakfast at 6.  Couldn't pass that up.  Went to walmart after that.  Then came home and napped for an hour.

I slept until 5:00 A.M., went back to sleep until
a little past 6:00.

LOL just blessed, LFF. I have had nights when sleep didn't come easy. It wears me out to not sleep good.

Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue:
During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ...she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.
Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this.
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. Chicken Soup)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

When I had my stroke, I was alone, with no one to ask me those things.  I just sensed that something was wrong, as I was walking almost sideways int a wall, so I called 9-1-1.  (I didn't dare drive) I met the paramedics at the front door of the building, and I seemed alright, but they took me in to the hospital (only 2 miles away), where I had an EEG, and it was confirmed I'd had a stroke.

When was this LFF?

August of 2016.  They kept me in the hospital for 2 days, did lots of tests.  Sent me home with an aspirin regimen.  I still take an aspirin every day.

LFF I take a low grade aspirin everyday also!

I take 150 mg of asprin daily. That’s half a full strength tablet.
The 75 mg tablets sold cost more. Have a cod liver oil tablet with it. Had a TIA and none since..

Michelle took me out for breakfast today, and bought me a butter dish I needed too.

I took grandson to eat Chinese after his appointment yesterday.  He looks forward to that.  He needs to get out more but does not like public much.


Today I see the nurse practitioner for general visit other than diabetic.  Going to ask her if I should get the 4th covid shot but would like to wait until fall if I can.

Had pancakes, eggs and sausage links- tasted good, but I felt awkward eating all that as Michelle watched, after eating her toast an butter.  That's downtown Otsego.

Today, 8 years ago my husband John had open heart surgery, had triple by pass and a stent to. Glad he is still with us here. Pray for him everyday . God is good.
