Hoping you are making a garden spot for next year.

We dump all our grass cuttings on the back garden beds. Soon disappears and nourishes the soil. Mainly it stops the weeds and sometimes has interesting fungi sprout up.

I may try to borrow son's bagger attachment. If not, it will just have to rot where it lays, it seems to disappear pretty fast around here.

I'm hoping we have enough grass clippings to use as mulch. Perhaps not as much as I wish. Lack of rain meant less grass.

Good morning! Of course today I was going to mow, but the weather guesser says there is 100% chance of rain. Of course. I'll still try to get some of it done, maybe it won't rain at all.

Went to the doctor today.  She said my A1C is 5.4- down from 5.8 in March.  She upped the meds for my depression, prescribed meds for my Prostate, and recommended I see a psychiatrist.

Ray's firstborn daughter brought a watermelon,
a pint of pickled beets that she canned from her
garden, several beautiful tomatoes. I asked to what she owes such produce. She said, "The weed barrier, watering
faithfully and I prayed over my garden."
Well, I asked GOD to bless my garden when I began.
I reckon some deserve a greater blessing and we are
benefitting from her blessing. Amen.

Hang in there, lightootfan. Remember, people or friends are supposed to help you be more stress free and lift you up. If it's not happening, then for your own health, look closely at those that you have chosen.

I don't know, and no, I'm not kidding.  I'm unhappy, sometimes to the point of crying, or at least shaking, trembling, with self-doubt, and feelings of unworthiness.  waiting to hear from Pine Rest mental health treatment hospital.  Will discuss whether I'm a candidate for treatment.

I saw a private psychiatrist when I had severe depression last year, NHS useless , and he was absolutely marvellous. Gave me sleeping tablets as needed and got my medication sorted. Mostly I saw him by video. They will help you LFF, don’t be scared I saw the doc for about a year and was well by last Christmas. Money well spent.

Mental health by NHS very poor in the UK. Maybe your GP can help Jackie and could refer to counselling which might help you with the shock of losing your husband in such a cruel way.
Getting a psychiatrist to see you in the NHS is almost impossible. Your MS depression can be relieved with medication.

2Anne, having read your book, I think you are
a champion overcomer.
Jackie, coming to grips with your husband's death
had to be extremely difficult. I imagine MS plays
the most difficult obstacle.
Depression is so very hard to fight. There are
medications that sometimes help for some people.
Apparently not always.
I have never been diagnosed with depression.
I suffered bouts of depression, but always found a way to climb out of the pit. Perhaps the people around me
made the huge difference. These days, when I feel
down, I and release it to the LORD.

Looking for a little bit of rain today. I put 4 new ignition coils on the Rav yesterday, maybe that will stop the skipping.

I remember when I used to be able to work on my cars.  Saved a lot of money.  Now I pay through my nose.

Awesome A1C LFF.  You are doing something right.  If I could get mine under 7 I would be happy.  Last time it was 7.3 so I hope it is getting close.  Go back for diabetic check up in October.

Hi Spice!  Glad you're better!
Went to Plainwell this morning to Belle Tire to get my tires rotated.  They couldn't do it today, unless I dropped the car off.

Said it would be five or 6 hours.  They were backed up because their internet was down yesterday, and they could only do prepaid customers.

In that case not their fault.

Might need them to replace some wheel bearings too, so they'll need the car for a bit.  Going to bed now.  3 a.m comes early.  Good night.

LFF hope you get your car straightened out.  I need to make an appointment for oil change for my truck soon.  Mileage wise no need but it has been over a year and I want to have it ready for winter coming soon.

it has been a tiring day for me. I was up at 5 am to wash tomatoes and sort out the bad ones.  Put the good ones in a large pot.  Took shower then went to the foot doctor.  Then to Aldi.  Then home put groceries away. Then went to the church to help them get ready for sale.  Then home ate a half sandwich and took a nap.  Got up at 4pm cooked supper then I did tomato juice.  Cleaned up mess and here I am.

Yes, I am tired!

No plans to do anything here, today. Just taking it all as it comes.

Went to Plainwell this morning- Sunoco, Burger King, Meijer, Walmart, home again.  No other plans here today.

My husband has said he wants to sell my car and buy an electric one. I had my car valued and it’s only lost £1500 in five years. I’m rather fond of it so not keen on the idea. It’s difficult to buy a car here at the moment and the second hand ones are fetching high prices.

And until safety and charging  issues are taken care of, I would wait on an electric car.

I have no desire for an electric car I don't care what Biden says.

I am busy cleaning house today.  Spent almost an hour in the bathroom and guess what?  I was cleaning the toilet and the small rag went down.  Hope there won't be a problem later.  Made me mad to say the least.

Taking a break while the floor dries.  Need to clean the sink and tub yet but may wait on the tub till after my shower.

Jackie, I am sad for each of you in Queen Elizabeth's realm. She was admired, loved and respected by all.

Those are my feelings as well, nell.

It’s a great loss to the UK the death of our queen but also Christianity which she promoted. I am very sad, I don’t think King Charles will fill her shoes.

2Anne, Jackie, I wondered how you both felt and your thoughts of Charles as King. Is it possible he will be more acceptable now that much time has passed since he has settled down with Camilla?
