Chit Chat 2023

The sun is up and bright, skies are blue this morning. A little cool at 33F, but it will warm up.

If my parts arrive today, I will finish fixing the dryer, and hope it does fix it. Yesterday, I took all the keys off my mechanical keyboard, washed them, and detailed cleaned the board itself.

I'm heading out to some stores with Sheri.

Rather a pretty winter day with clear skies and sunshine. Did a quick grocery run and now just relaxing.

I looked through some OLD photos
and gasped at how young I once was.
How my weight changed from almost perfect until
my 40s, to overweight until my late 50s and early 60s
to almost too thin in my 80s.
Are we EVER satisfied?
The most enjoyment was seeing photos of people I took care of in my Care=giving years, my children as they grew up, my grandchildren as they grow up, my travel pictures to other countries.

Kind of dreary today a possible stormy evening ahead.

Yesterday, while Sheri was tanning, I was guarding the door, and was able to watch Criminal Minds- Evolution, which is the 2022 version of  Criminal Minds series that ran from 2005 to 2020.  Saw it had 7 of the old cast members.  Was great to see it!  I watch reruns of Criminal Minds as often as I can.

Glad, I hope any storm is mild.
it's sort of overcast and cold here. I didn't visit Little Chuckie yesterday. I heard that he kept watching the door. Today he was SO delighted to see me.
Before I went to see him, I vacuumed all carpeted area. I noticed the roller wasn't turning. Turned out it had human hair wound round and round. My long hair from before I had it cut.
We have some little red potatoes sprouting. I'm going to put some soil in a large pot and plant the potatoes, keep them inside and see if I can grow some rather than let them waste.

Had to leave after Sheri's tanning yesterday, so I didn't get to see all of the Criminal Minds 2022 episode, but I figured out how to watch it on my Firestick on Paramount+ for free.  Been staying in the apartment today.

Good morning to all. I finally finished repairing the dryer. Michelle is a happy camper, now. I think, even my hurts, hurt. It was good labor, though, to see that smile on her face.

Nurse practitioner was here, and was concerned about my depression.  Called my doctor's office and left a message to call her.
As far as everything else, I guess I was okay.

Doing a cut and paste this morning. After the storms yesterday that left 6 fatalities in our area, we have to work to clean up blown down branches etc. No damage to our house, the next street over, the power was out for a long time,

Sheri's going to help me get Gracie to the groomer today to get her nails trimmed.  Going to let everything else wait.

Glad you are ok Windwalker.  I saw the pictures on Country Depot.  The patrol car was a mess.  Hope the officer recovers well.  Prayers for your area and its people.

I go to the pharmacy for the first time this year.   Dread the prices.  

Cloudy and cold this morning so will bundle up when I get out.

Insulin prices should be capped at $35, I think.

Hi Windwalker and all!  I was up at 4, took my readings and stuff, went back to the recliner for a couple of hours.  Got up and made pancakes.  Now I feel a nap coming on..

Sounds like a plan LFF!

I am looking forward to a lovely day out in the garden, we are having a very mild summer and appreciating it.

We have been putting up new drapes which meant new rods also. Washing the lace curtains which I searched for several years ago. Perfect condition, just wanted a change.
Also spent an hour trying to bring a bit of cheer into my brother's life. He has so much sorrow for his wife's death.

So sorry to hear of your Brother's wife's demise.  Please extend our condolences.

We dropped back down to 28F overnight. It should warm into the 50s today, though. Not really sure what I will do today, seems like there was something.

The fog rolled in around dinner time yesterday and hasn't left. I made oven baked pork spare ribs for dinner yesterday with a homemade barbecue sauce. The fell off the bone they were that tender.

I am back to being able to exercise. Had to take a week and half off because I pulled a muscle(muscles) in my back.

James Stewart has always been my favorite, not that he is the greatest actor, but a combination of actor and good man. Jackie, are you in any of the photos? I looked through all of them. Looks like a fun event to attend.

Years ago, I saw the Glen Miller band perform at the Blue Lake Arts Academy, about 50 miles North of here, but I can't remember who I took to it.  I loved the concert!

Good morning to one and all. Starting off at 52F this morning, instead of 29F. That usually doesn't bode well for good weather in these parts.

We had rain over night.  Better than that white stuff!

Sunny today and 52.  Rain possible tomorrow so my friend and I are dining out for Chinese today instead of tomorrow.  About to go soon.

I always loved Glen Miller's music. Didn't he do

"String of Pearls" ? The Big Band era gave us some really great music .
