Windwalker, thankfully the storm passed away from you.
I hope people in the area hit by a storm were not harmed.

Glad, it always hurts when someone leaves us. I believe we
continue to miss them the remainder of our days.
The young female who lived in our trailer park died with no
forewarning. She was generous, loving, she could speak
with a sharp tongue, but she was also a dear friend.
Lightfootfan, do you have any idea what may be the cause
of your sickness? I very much hope you're feeling much better
by bedtime. 

My chit chat is:
I washed some bedding, cleaned up the rock/flower bed
circle around the bird-bath. I found one Crocus had blossomed
and it's beautiful.
I visited my doggie friend. He was jealous because another dog
on his street was visiting HIS friend Leroy which meant he couldn't 
visit. I spent time with him to make up for his hurt.
I think I will try to find a repeat of President Trump's Rally.

Haven't eaten much today, and it's 73F in here.  Will have to open the slider a bit

Glad you're okay, Windwalker.  Had to go to the office here this morning, then bring a copy of my lease to H&R Block.  While I was out, i stopped in at Dollar General, and bought some cat food.

Good afternoon. Still waiting for my bone density test results. Will be going on 2 weeks come this Thursday. Windwalker, thank goodness the storm you guys. I saw the damage the tornado did in Miss and they said it lasted an hour. Poor people. We have had rain and a bit of snow here but otherwise it's been mostly in the 50's during the day and 30's at night. I can't wait till April gets here.

73 degrees sounds snug to me. I dislike feeling cold.
Lightfootfan, isn't it great to have the hip surgery 
done and already able to be out and about!

After doing two loads of laundry, I drove about the
area just to keep the battery charged. Something
is draining the battery. No lights are left on Radio
is never on, Cannot figure it out.

I'm reading a very old copy of "Lorna Doone"
a book so old the paper has yellowed which
makes it more difficult to read. Plus being 
written in the old, English which requires 
concentration.
Each page must be turned with great care as
it has aged and is fragile. One small edge of
a page broke off in my hand. Fortunately just
the border, no print was demolished. I'm half
way through and hope to finish by summer's end.
( My teachers would be disappointed. Do seasons
require capitalizing ?)

Ah, another day to enjoy. Spent most of the afternoon at the new doctor, getting tests I'm sure I don't need.

Hello Shouters!

I am trying to catch up on the forums.  My time has mostly been spent doing and or taking care of family needs.  Also there has been a death at my church of a beautiful lady and friend.  She was 83 and ready to go to Heaven. Her funeral will be on Friday.   We have lost a number of members in the last few years and seems like we do not have younger people to come and grow our church.

The weather is sunny today but windy and chilly (48 currently).  Spring just seems to be getting delayed more and more.

Son and I went shopping yesterday for soil and other gardening needs.  I purchased a GreenStalk tower for this year's garden.  Looking forward getting to planting it.

Right now a Robin is building her nest outside my window.  When she comes back I will try to get a picture.

I saw the surgeon's P.A. today, and she was pleased with my progress.

Lightfootfan, the battery was placed in my car 
when I recently had it in for repairs.
I believe it is a rebuilt battery. Shouldn't make a difference.
My son will be able to tell me soon I hope.

I've had mine for 7 years.  Doesn't cost much, like it does for an electric car.

Went for a re-check with the pain doctor at 7:30 am this morning. I'm still trying to catch up here around the house, and forums.

Windwalker, when does your house have a chance to get messed up?
You seem to be cleaning and doing necessary stuff all the time. I wish
I had your ambition. I DID sweep the floor this morning! I always
wash the dishes and laundry is done. I just need to wash walls, DUST!
LFF, no car work is on hold again, chance of rain and Kelly's garage
isn't set up for auto work. not a problem as I don't need to go out.
I walk to visit the dog.

Has anyone heard from Jackie? Wasn't she feeling unwell last we heard?
I wish there was a way to check up on our SATW mates.

Haven't heard anything about Jackie.
Sheri took my car to Saugatuck.  My physical therapist called- running late.
I did laundry- nice that the washer and dryer are just across the hall.  Used my walker to take the  laundry there.  Carried it back without the walker.

Sorry you are not feeling well Jackie.  Sending prayers your way.

Going to the doctor, is always a pain when you're not in need of anything.

We have two large dogs, so I do a lot of light busy work. My dog sheds a lot, so at least everyother day I vacuum, and every third day I dust and mop.

I got my Dexcom G6 diabetic meter recently and I do not know how to use it.  May have to see the diabetic specialist again.

This is a meter where you wear some kind of patch for weeks on your skin.  Kinda leery of it for I do have sensitive and dry skin.

This morning I stuck my fingers about 5 times before I could find a finger with enough blood.  Getting radicicolous.

I've only had to double prick a couple of times.

It is my fingers being numb why I can draw  blood.  


I called the doc office and they will set up an appointment for me.

My hands get numb while I sleep sometimes.

Jackie, it's really good to know you're feeling better.
I imagine you will be back to your usual normal soon.
Any bug or health issue is bound to be harder on you
because of the MS. Your resistance isn't quite equal to
that of a person who has zero health issues, right?

A few years back I was Home Health Aide for a man
who was diabetic, at first I didn't want to work for
him because the thought of sticking him with needles
made me shudder. Then he got the type where you 
don't see the needle. His insulin shots were also different.
Not a big needle being jammed into his skin.
When I give blood or get a shot, I turn my head away.

This morning we went to Sam's Club. Back home I
visited the little dog. I may be biased, he is simply adorable!

Hi nell!  I use the same finger every day.  I use a little spring loaded doohickey that shoots into the skin, and retracts.

Today, it's time to pay bills. So much fun. NOT!

No other plans, I will be too broke, to pay attention. Gas is back up to $3.12 a gallon so we don't go much. It's a good thing our King passed that deficit budget bill, or we would still be paying hi prices for gas and food. Oh, wait.

I am getting tired of them not making up their mind to how much we are paying.  Last week we were at $2.85 and now is is $3.09.  

Everything is going UP and UP no matter what you buy.


I am here just for a moment.  Getting ready to attend a dear lady's funeral.  I will be gone most of the day.

Please pray for travel mercies (not a long distance about 25 miles but curving roads and a forecast of storms today)

Have  to agree with you, Windwalker!  Gas was 3.41 here yesterday, at the cheapest station- Circle K.  As for food, I'm glad my health insurance sprang for Mom's Meals for me , after my surgery- 14 meals yesterday, and I'll receive 14 next Thursday.  Granted, each meal is 2 items (Swedish meatballs on Penna with sauce, and cubed carrots for example.Each item is about 8 ounces.  They arrive frozen, in a cardboard box, with an inch of styrafoam insulation on all 4 sides, top, and bottom surrounding the trays, along with 2 large frozen plastic pouches filled with gel.  And I don't get paid till Monday, as it's the third.

Lightfootfan, your gas prices are closer to ours. $4.29 I believe
was my last robbery. Not that I'm doing much driving. Weather
keeps me from taking the wagon to my son for repair. If only 
I was a rich wench!
Today? I must retrace the past hours. I did a load of laundry.
I visited the wee dog. He got dirt on his sweater. I told him I
must take it home to wash it. He tried to keep it. But when I
return it all clean, he grabs it and is SO happy. He appreciates
anything I buy for him.
Later I had a call from a neighbor who recently moved into his 
daughter's home. For years he would be sitting outside his
front door and I would stop and chat awhile. I miss him and he
misses living on his own, even though his daughter and family
treat him wonderfully, he misses his ? freedom? I pray i am
never forced to relinquish my independence.

I mentioned this in the weather thread.....got home right before storms hit......nothing too bad yet but we are in a high risk watch until 8 pm central time another two hours


I am beat today.....very emotional service and when I get emotional my blood pressure rises.

Gas here is 3.59 today.
My Mom didn't want to give up her independence either.

Glad, I suppose funeral services serve the purpose
of allowing our emotions release, remembering our 
relationship wit that person and knowing how much
they will be missed.
Deep emotion does leave us worn.

Never used my palm will have to try that Windwalker.  I just stuck finger before I came on line so will wait until tomorrow morning to try it.

This morning, I need to call the Vet at 8, to get Gracie in for a check up, shots, etc.  Then, I need to call about getting my car in for an oil change and new headlight.  Sheri will call about getting Gracie in to the groomer's.

I am kinda sore this morning after planting a few potatoes yesterday afternoon.
