Back to work for me today, after 2 days off.

Raining and windy most of the day, visited friends this afternoon. Really excited about Christmas and still buying food. We were promised snow for the holiday but can’t see it happening. Have a great day everyone.

Just got back from our new Aldi in this town.  We needed one for a long time.  Very nice and clean.

Also got my hair cut today and now I can see without hair in my eyes.

I had my hair cut today too.  I even had them take off my mustache. Sheri wanted me to.

You should get some Christmas bargains at Aldi Glad. Most of their goods are cheap. I was shocked at the US supermarket prices when I was in Seattle.

Good afternoon all. Sunny and 45 here today. Got a call from Legal Aid and hopefully will get to talk to a a attoney about our appeal case that is coming up next month. Plus keep us in your prayers.

A real early errand this morning, then the rest of the day is free. No telling what I might get up to.

Jackie is Spot On. Sitting home can become mind bending.

I sat last evening until quite late in a hospital waiting room
waiting to see what they might do for our Maggie. The seizures 
are coming more often and closer together. I cannot fathom
why they dole out pharmaceuticals without getting to the root
cause of them.
While waiting I saw a middle aged couple come in. He stopped 
at the desk to give information. She went straight to the bathroom.
I heard her vomiting. She came out, sat down, obviously very
sick. The husband came, glanced into the bathroom. I, thinking
the vomiting might be a clue to whatever was wrong, told him.
I was surprised at his gratitude, his marveling that I would be
thoughtful, kind enough to bother telling him. It seems such a 
logical thing to have done. Yet this man was just SO thankful
Have we become that thoughtless as humans?

I also noted that there were several people there for a Sleep Study.
There must be lots of people who find it difficult to sleep. Again,
I realize how blessed I am.

I have a short errand to run this morning, It's overcast, but not supposed to rain.

Took Gracie to the groomer.  She had to shave some mats out of her fur.

Today I visited my favorite doggie twice, visited 
my son Kelly with some much needed food items.
My daughter went along, driving her car.
Kelly was thankful and he seems to be less downcast
bout his loss. I know it takes time and as Glad can tell us
a loved partner is never forgotten.

Today has been a dreary day of rain.....on a bright side it is well above freezing.  I am happy because tomorrow is Sunday and I do not want to miss church.

Above freezing here too.  Went in late, worked late.

I have listened to rain falling on the roof most of this day.
Did a load of laundry, visited my favorite doggie. At times
I wonder if Little Chuckie simply tolerates his Grama. He
can be very attentive and then let me know , "Isn't it time 
for you to go home?" I know he is a creature of habit.

Got a call from Dawn today.  She's  doing well, but had to call on the house phone because the 3 government phones she's gotten have all quit working.

Going back a few days in posts....sorry it has taken so long.....concerning Aldi......our newest store in town in Aldi and even though their prices are a bit higher now they are still cheaper than the main store we have.  Milk alone is $2 or more cheaper.  I am a thrifty shopper and will go where I can get the best price.....if items are too high I will not buy.  And we never go hungry.  I will pay full price when I have to but that is not often.

Well we are in the middle of a heatwave and getting mighty sick of it.  Had my cataracts fixed and all went well and happy to say back on forums once again.

Hope everyone is organised for Christmas and all take care.

My Mom's gone, and my Sister ad her husband are in Florida, so I was going to be alone this year.  Sheri's Mom invited me over for Christmas dinner.

LLF, that's nice that Sherry's mom invited your for Christmas dinner. How I thoughtful of her. No iOtherdea if my son's are coming over for Christmas dinner or not. If it was meant to be then it will happen. Otherwise it will be just the two of us.

Sheri told me if I hadn't been invited, she would have come spend Christmas with me.

LFF, I'm glad you will spend Christmas with people who are friends.
We don't make as big a celebration as we did when we were younger.
I will be with son number two/Bill and his family Christmas Eve. Son
number three usually has us for Christmas Day. 
They haven't mentioned it. WE shall see. 
As I said before the grandkids had theirs at the hotel.

We are going out to eat with the Son, which is nice of him. Only thing I hate, is it's a place in the capitol city. Murder capitol of Alabama. I hate to say it, but I'll be glad to get back home, from that outing. Kids, these days, just think they are invincible.

Sounds scarey.

We have been fortunate so far this winter.....been cold some days but so far no ice or snow.  The longer that stuff stays away the better I like it.

Whiskers goes for his procedure tomorrow.  I have fallen in love with that cat.

We have indeed been fortunate!

Prayers for Whispers today. Hope the surgery goes well. Got a call that my new prescription glasses are in. About time to, need them badly. Will go and get them probably tomorrow.

WindWalker, it seems crime happens more in the evening.
If you go midday perhaps it will be safer? Two of my sons
were supposed to go to Detroit today. Some business of 
changing the car title from Amy's name into my son Kelly's.
I imagine State or Wayne County business Offices would 
be in a safer part of the city.
It is true that young folks feel less vulnerable .
Two of my sons and their wives went into Detroit recently
to a Comedy Club. Both carry and know how to use, SO.

Glad, I have forgotten what your cat needs done.
I sure hope everything goes perfectly well.
Our animals are a part of our families.

Prayers from here for Whiskers as well.
I'm very depressed today.  My checking account is a shambles.

All the best to Whiskers. The sun is coming out nice and bright. It's 32F outside and I just finished feeding all the critters here in the Kingdom. No plans for today.

Whiskers had his male surgery today.  Had mixed feelings but we do not need any more cats around here.  He is doing well and wants to sleep this evening and also be held.  I have spent a lot of time holding  him today.

Glad, you did the right thing. True there are too many stray cats..
Too many unwanted dogs too. I get very upset when I see on
the computer that people abuse animals. I feel I must listen
to the sad story. Then I weep.

I’m going on holiday till the 1st, so I won’t be posting.

Good afternoon all. Finally got my new prescription glasses on Thursday. Can see a lot better now. Glad your cat is okay my friend. Sorry to hear about your checking account LFF. It's mostly cloudy and 55 here now. John and myself have been under the weather of lately. Just taking one day at a time to get better. Merry Christmas all.
