I'd better keep track of my temperature. I'm up to 99.3. Wow!
Will be going to the bank today to transfer the $800 from the saving account I have for Dawn to her checking account. She's going to need it for moving this weekend.

Need to run some errands today. Pharmacy for one and I dread it!

Also a trip to Walmart which I also dread.

I'll be taking Dawn to Emerald Park apartments again this morning. She has to pay her deposit. Found out yesterday that she won't be able to get into the apartment till October first now.

Looked at Dawn's new apartment yesterday. Must enter a code to get into the building, has a small fitness room, a salon, a large community room, a nice sized elevator to the second floor, wooden railings on both sides of the hallway, is located at the end of the hall, with a tile entryway, coat closet, large living room/ dining area, good sized kitchen (for an apartment), with lots of counter space, 2 nice sized bedrooms, one of which she'll make into a meditation room, with a recliner and Angels, a good sized bathroom, and a small balcony. I'm very impressed. If I hadn't just signed a new lease here, I'd like it there. https://www.abodo.com/plainwell-mi/emerald-park
Will be leaving here shortly to take Dawn to Brighton again.

Glad, it's really a treat and a blessing to see a post from you.

LFF, has Dawn lived on her own before? If she has and you posted
it, remember my memory is 84 years old! zip it Seriously, I wish
her happiness in her new venture. I also hope you won't be lonely.

My day so far: Cooked spaghetti/Angel Hair to go with sauce we had
in the freezer, swept the kitchen floor, picked some Bell peppers, a few
cucumbers, took out a few tomato plants, putzy stuff for putting the
garden to it's Winter rest, had lunch of baked sweet potato, and the
spaghetti. Now it;s coffee time.
The nicest UPS young lady stopped with a package. After putting my
glasses on, I discovered the package was for the neighbor next door.
Giving her the package and finding she had the one for me! oops oops

Yes, when she was drinking, got in trouble with the law, declared bankruptcy, the whole 9 yards.  But, that was a long time ago.  She's never been on her own, sober. For the last 15 years, Dawn's been with Mary and me, then me.  But she thinks she's ready to try.  I can give her this chance, and she knows that she can come back to me if it doesn't work out.

I reiterated Dawn yesterday that if she can't handle living alone, she can always come back here. She said she assumed that, but thanked me for telling her.
Today, I'll be taking her to a noon meeting in Otsego, then hopefully taking Chipper for a walk at the park in Plainwell. Found a park there that I like. We can walk across the river to the other end of the park. Chipper loves sniffing new smells.

Yesterday was a do nothing day. Aside from visiting my
favorite doggie. I bought him a new ball that glows if it's left
in light awhile. It's a little smaller and he was delighted to
have a new toy. We still play toss with the older glow ball.
When I visited, I asked him, "Where is the new ball?"
He raced off to the bathroom and came out with it. Yes,
I do love that little dog.

Today I have washed two loads, one being the dish towels.
Opened my E-mail, checked Facebook, sort of. Now Shout.
I will soon dress and walk the garden. No big plans.
If you remember, "Hello Lightfoot's Mom!"

Curious, again. How did my post come up on the weather section?
I am absolutely not technically savvy. I wonder if I was previously?
I wonder if it's an age thing?

My daughter is dead set against my growing older. She tells me about
a woman who is 97 and walks 3 miles a day/ now we have an agreement
that if I walk with her every morning, she will stop smoking.
How can I Possibly say no! I do think we may begin by taking a day off
maybe once a week.

If American politics were a poker game (It is a gamble), yes, I hold my cards close to my chest, feeling that we actually have a pretty good hand, but if too many of the people who see this get scared and fold, those with the big bluff could win this hand. The problem with that is that we'll have to live with that for at least 4 years, and I don't know if there will be any coming back from that.
I returned my Mom's microwave (700 watt, .7 cubic ft.) Avanti, and got her a 1200 watt, 1.1 cubic ft. Panasonic. The numbers are much easier for her to read, and the door opens ans closes much more quietly. My Mom seems happy with it.
Speaking of my Mom, she was in good spirits and seemed to be doing quite well.
When in Holland yesterday, I filled up on gas at 1.74 a gallon.

Glad you found a good microwave for your mom LFF.

Today I go for my yearly dermatologist appointment. I dread going for they are working on the highway (at the Interstate location) and that is exactly where I need to go to the appointment. Daughter and I took a ride yesterday afternoon to make sure I understood where to turn.....there are cones everywhere and only one entrance (which I will have to travel a couple blocks to get to the entrance to the doctor office).

Yesterday my oldest granddaughter turned 18. She is a senior in high school this year....she missed the cut of date by 13 days when she was old enough for kindergarten so this will make her one of the oldest graduates. I am hoping covid will be done by then......the 2020 kids missed out on a lot of their senior year. In July they had a special outdoor gradation for them but a lot had already gone into the military and still missed out. Everyone had received their virtual diplomas and got the real thing in July.

It is a bit cooler this morning! Yes!

LFF, thank you! I enjoyed having a day off from walking.
Back on the figure 8 tomorrow morning. It will do both
of us good. The deal is I walk with her, she quits smoking.
Yesterday I saw her with a cigarette and pounced on her.
She said she must stop slowly. OK, but if she hasn't quit
when a year has passed, I will quit walking.

Glad, LFF, how does one decide that there is a cancer on
their body, their face, arm, ?

Today I dug a part of the oval garden. It's harder than weeding,
but I think next year's crop will grow better if I loosen the soil.
I dug up a Foxglove in the oval garden and moved it to the flower
garden across the street. Somehow it had volunteered in the vegetable
garden. I had no idea Foxglove would do that. However, in photos
from the UK, I see Foxglove growing wild.
Afternoon I went to visit Little Chuckie. When my son came out, the
little rascal became ferocious. He simply does not want to share his
time with me, I had to scold him.
I hope your day was as lovely as it has been here.

I suppose they get used to it.
WE did attend the Recall meeting. It was in the parking lot,

A long-time friend also showed up. She
dated my second son many years ago and is still a dear friend.
He married and has children. She never married.

Today I did a load of laundry, walked with my daughter, less

Wrong number, and she was rude. After I hung up, she called

Good ole Chipper.
I understand about your mom and the Visiting Angels.
When I was doing Home Health Care, I often met people who resisted
having a stranger come in, "I'm capable of taking care of myself."
Invariably the person became close and dependent. Just about a week ago,
I went to the funeral home for a lady about my age who had been one of
mine. After she went into a nursing home, I had a lady who wanted to shop
at $ Tree a lot! I detest shopping, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed
taking her. Then I stayed evenings with a man who was SO easy.
There wasn't enough to do. He has since died. Sometimes I miss the work.

I finished busting up the clods of soil which I dug up in the oval garden.
That after a mile and a half early morning walk with my daughter. Some
men who work for Flat Rock came while we were walking. Some unenlightened
youngsters had thrown rocks, breaking three of the globes atop the lampposts,
which light the figure 8 track. Not being satisfied, they had thrown two picnic tables
into the river. I hope they are discovered and given an order to do trash pickup,

I went to the $Tree, the bank, visited my favorite doggie.

I've been listening to the revelation that FOX news will not allow the Newscasters
to discuss Soros and his evil. Not good news when a filthy rich human can pay to have
evil done in this country and it must be kept quiet. (LORD, please move in our lives.)

I just returned from Walmart Pharmacy. If anyone wants to know who benefited from Trumps Prescription Bill you can "quote" me. I picked up my Insulin (3 month supply) and the cost has dropped from $173.86 down to $42.88......big saving.......and my test strips (2 boxes/100 per box) dropped from $10.00 per box to $1.00 per box. Promises made Promises Kept........I'm a Happy Camper!

Hi Joyous! After my $75 deductible, my my Metformin is $0.00, and my test strips are 0.00, as is my Buproprion, Lisinopril, Furosemide, Simvistatin, and Aspirin. Of course, I pay $10 a month for my Medicare advantage plan, as well as my Medicare.
I won't be here long this morning. My friend Tim is picking me up in a bit for our day trip to South Bend, Indiana.

Good afternoon all. Had a nice birthday yesterday. Got cupcakes, not a cake this year. A friend make the suggestion. Got a lot of birthday wishes online, a few cards, dvds, Christmas globe, billfold, coin purse and money. John ended up at the doctor's office that afternoon. had hurt his left shoulder and back. Got pain pills to help. Well it's the first day of fall now.

Hi Margie! Happy birthday!
Went to South Bend , Indiana today. Walked through the Studebaker Museum, toured the South Bend Chocolate factory, ate at Golden Corral Buffet, stopped in Cassopolis, before coming home.

LFF, that's great. I admire President Trump for thinking of the people who
pay a lot for medications.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your birthday.
I had been wondering how you and John are.

LFF, so far Autumn is really lovely.
I'm glad you enjoyed the South Bend day trip.

Today:
Early morning walk with daughter.
Washed the whites. Picked a few tomatoes before pulling the plants out.
Visited my little Canine friend.
I'm ready for a relaxing evening.
