Happy Fall, all!  I'm feeling a bitta betta today- still with a tuffy node.  Will be taking off in a bit to go to the conservatorship, the hardware store, and to Michelle's.

Glad you are feeling better LFF.  
It is a beautiful day today and tomorrow is son's birthday....going to be 51!  I am the one getting old  I tell him.

Thanks Glad!  Wish your Son a happy birthday from me!

LFF, I'm so glad you're feeling "Betta".
I decided to clear and clean the shelf in my bedroom closet.
Some cleaning opens floodgates of memory. I was already feeling
? nostalgia ? due to ending of Summer and looming cold Winter.
Then I begin sorting through a box of memories, greeting cards,
memos from my trip to England, sympathy cards for the loss of
my 3rd brother, our first loss of a sibling, aside from the newborn
whom we never met), so many memories, forgotten moments,
some people I worked with and have forgotten. I need my time
with Little Chuckie to shake me out of this.
Rain, so I fear Little Chuckie will have very little outdoor time.
WE will play ball and I will brush his coat. He does enjoy that
and it calms him.

Good afternoon all. Yesterday was my birthday and yes I'm getting older now. Went out to Walmart and bought a ROKU for our smart television. Since we don't have cable or dish it will be worth it in the long run. We do have to have wifi and we have the internet so watched some different things last night. Also went out to Arby's and ate and got cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Weather was lovely and in the 60's yesterday so glad to have fall here today. Can't wait till sweater weather.

I'm a bad Papa, Joyous.  I never brush Chipper.  Get him groomed twice a year.
Picked up a couple things for Michelle at the hardware store this morning.  Got some Diet Pepsi for her at Village Markup, went to the computer store here in Allegan for an optical cable for my sound bar, drove out to Plainwell, dropped off Michelle's stuff, took her to Kalamazoo and back, picked up lunch at McDonald's, came home, took Chipper for a walk downtown, picked up some Chicken for Chipper, and warmed up the spaghetti pie (that Michelle made for me) for supper.

9:00 in the morning, and I've been to Plainwell, ran Michelle to the store, to McDonalds, home, and I've come home and had breakfast.  Will take Chipper downtown if it stops raining.

Took Chipper downtown, and had a little excitement.  We were minding our own business, walking in the park, when a german shepherd came streaking across the park, off his leash, toward Chipper.  I snatched Chipper up just in time.  That's how Sheri's dog, Vinnie, was killed- attacked by a german shepherd.

Of course the Shepard should have been controlled.
Good reaction on your part, thankfully.

My sister was to be taken off the ventilator today.
For some reason it has been postponed until tomorrow.

I washed my bedding this morning. visited my Little Chuckie
twice. Daughter, Gr.daughter and I took two large bottles of Dial
antibacterial soap to my firstborn son, nice visit with him and his mate.
I love her like a daughter. 
Traffic was horrendous, typical Friday.
I'm tired.

Oh I feel for you, Joyous.  You seem to be doing well.
This morning, I drove out to Plainwell, dropped off some, containers for Michelle, ran her to the convenience store and back, went over to Dawn's, visited Gracie for a while, fed her, went home, took Chipper for a little walk.  Will go out to my Mom's in a little bit, then will come home, get cleaned up, and take Michelle to dinner tonight.

I'm not certain of the time, but today the Medical team
will remove the ventilator from my sister,

her presence since, I believe it was Wednesday, when I felt a sudden,
strong connection.
There were 7 of us, minus the infant who died at birth, and now there
are three. I never wanted to be the oldest. Oh, how I miss her.

Didn't go to the Old Mill last night.  Went to Salvino's Italian Restaurant instead.  We were headed to the Old Mill Brew Pub, but I asked Michelle if she'd been to Salvino's, and she was excited about them, so we went there instead.  I had their cheese lasagna.  Michelle had a build your own pasta.  Enjoyed the food and the company.  After I took her home, she thanked me, and I said we'll have to do this again sometime.  She replied "Absolutely!"
Went over to Dawn's after that, and visited Gracie:

Dinner out with friends is pleasant.

I'm needing to go to S.C. for my sister's burial.
My niece is so fearful that I too will get COVID,
she thinks I shouldn't come. I love her dearly.
Being 85 doesn't mean I'm not healthy.
However, she just lost her mama and cannot bear
thinking of me getting sick and leaving too.
So I probably best just send my thoughts their way.

I really think that's wise.

I suppose so, but I need to mourn the loss of my little sister.
Still, hurting others I love won't make me feel better.

Been out to Plainwell this morning and home again.  I know there's no future for Michelle and me, as she's 21 years younger than me, and she told me at the outset that she doesn't want a relationship or 'boyfriend', that she likes being single, living alone, etc., but I'm finding I really like her, and enjoy her company.  I'll mention songs and TV shows that she never heard of.  I told her that I won't be driving out there every day this winter, as I don't like winter driving.  Oh, she made cookies this morning, and I told her I hope I can get some of them, and she replied that she'd made them for me.  Of course, I can't eat them till Wednesday because today, I've started the liquid only diet.  Will start my colonoscopy prep at 5 this afternoon.

First of all, I'd like to share a post from Joyous, in which she stated " to all Shouters.
It is good to be accepted AND loved."  Who can argue with that?
Had a colonoscopy5 years ago.  Instead of the 10 year gap, a 5 year check was warranted due to  findings 5 years ago.  The doctor I had then has retired, and a doctor by the name of Tiffany willI've started my colonoscopy prep.  Have had 12 Sutab tablets, and 48 ounces of water.  Will take 2 GasX tabs at 9, 2 at 10.  Then, at midnight, I need to take another 12 Sutab tablets, and 48 ounces of water.  After that, I can have nothing to eat or drink till after my procedure.

As we type an exchange of experiences, Ray searches for
a Medical Directive online, one which I can sign and have
notarized just in case. I had asked a Lady at BCBS. The paper
she sent had nothing to do with last wishes medical care.

Yes, after what happened to my sister, I definitely
want a signed and notarized directive.

Will be having my colonoscopy today.  Have been taking pills and drinking water for the last 9 hours.  Will try to lie down for a few hours before Tim gets here to drive me to the procedure.

Procedure went well yesterday- no polyps.  Had breakfast afterward, played some miniature golf with Tim.  After getting home, I made a run to Plainwell to see Michelle.
Speaking of Michelle, when I drove out there at 5 this morning, I almost told her that I'd grown quite fond of her.., but I didn't.
After running her to the convenience store and McDonalds, I took her home.  After getting out of the car, she said " Love ya'!  See you later!"    That floored me, but I quickly replied "Me too.  See ya' later!"  I would have loved to have told her that hearing her say that meant so much to me, but I think I knew better.

Here it is 5 a.m., and I haven't heard from Michelle.  I hope she's okay. 
Dawn was going to need me to get her out for 4 hours yesterday, but apparently not.  I'm going out there at 9:00 to take her to walmart.  Right now, I'm going to take some blankets out to my car for her.

Hi there Glad E Olah!  I have no idea.  I'm pretty boring.
Which friend?  I actually have a couple.  Tim gave me a ride to my colonoscopy this week- we ate out, then played some miniature golf.
Sheri had invited me to go to Kalamazoo with her last night- hadn't called by the time I went to bed.
Taking Michelle to breakfast today, and to a hockey game tonight and tomorrow.
Took Chipper out at 4:30 this morning.

Well LFF it is good to have friends.  I have a few myself which help me from being bored for I am a bit lazy (or maybe just don't fell like) when it comes to cleaning.  I know it will be hard work but next week I want to clean up some of the garden since the plants are dying off.

Today it is raining a good rain for a change.  The hummingbird feeders are empty and considering the time of year I think we won't make up syrup for them.  They usually leave here around October and today is the first day of October.  Our leaves are beginning to turn too.  I am not looking forward to winter but it will come once again.

I have enjoyed going out to Plainwell every morning to see Michelle (granted it's usually just to get cigarettes or a keno ticket).  But today, it was to breakfast in Otsego, then to The Dollar Tree and the bank in Kalamazoo, then to Wallgreen's and the Sunoco Station in Plainwell, before taking her home, where I helped her bring in her groceries (which had been delivered), before I gave her a hug, and headed home.  However, with the upcoming winter weather, these visits may less frequent, and I've told Michelle this.
I have digressed from the subject of multiple friends, and have dwelled on one friend in particular, so I apologize.  Other friends, I may not see daily, weekly, or less often than that.

Had Alexa get me up at 4 this morning.  Took Chipper out, and I was ready to go when Michelle texted me at 4:20.  Told her I could be there in 20 minutes.  Was there  at 4: 42.  We went to gas station, to Mcdonalds, and had her home by 5:10. 
Today, I'll take Chipper for a walk, Pick up Dawn at 3, take her here, then pick up Michelle by 4:30.  She and I will go to dinner at Erbelli's pizzeria, then to a hockey game tonight.  Right now, I'm going to take a little nap.

Didn't go to the hockey game last night.  Michelle had a bad migraine.  She was going to take medicine and lie down.  Told her to text me if she needed anything.  In fact, I went to bed early, in case she needed anything during the night.  She texted me about 4 a.m.  I took her to breakfast at about 6 this morning.  Will take Dawn to Church this morning.  Will go to Village Markup to get burger patties for Chipper, take them home.  After church, Dawn and I will pick up Michelle, and we'll go out for lunch, and to Gull Meadow Farm, which is Gull Meadow Farms in Southwest Michigan's Fall Destination for Family Fun! My recent absence is due to a drive to South Carolina.
My daughter drove, granddaughter and I were passengers.
We went to the burial service of my little sister. 
A long drive through beautiful country, time spent with family
whom we haven't seen for a few years, love, laughter, weeping.
I cannot believe she has gone. I remember the night she was born.

Yesterday, Dawn, Michelle, and I went to Krusty Krab.
I mean Crafty Crab Restaurant for lunch in Kalamazoo.  I had Catfish, Dawn had shrimp, and Michelle had a shrimp Po' Boy sandwich.  After that, we went to Gull Meadows- walked through the Country Store (Didn't tour the gardens, barns, or petting zoo.) The rain was light and intermittent.  Might have liked the petting zoo.  I seem to recall liking petting (haven't done it since I was a teenager), but with Dawn there, you know, three's a crowd.  
Today, I'll be taking Michelle to Kalamazoo this morning for her shots, and hopefully go to my Mom's this afternoon.

Food is high on your list. 
As we journeyed south, good food was not to be found quickly.
Years ago, food along the interstate was delicious in the south.
Today it seems much the same everywhere.

After taking Chipper out, This morning started off with my going into Allegan to pick up a check for Michelle, bringing it to her in Plainwell, taking her to the bank in Kalamazoo to cash it, taking her to a pharmacy on the other side of Kalamazoo to get some injections, taking her to Barnes and Noble, a grocery mart, Old Navy, and the Dollar Tree, all in Portage.  Then, to a Red Robin Restaurant there for lunch, before taking her to a house North of Plainwell to pick up a used portable air conditioner, before taking her home to rest before her shots kicked in.
Following this, I went home, picked up Chipper, and we went out to Douglas to visit my Mom.

This morning, I received a text from a bored Michelle at 2:45.  Told her I wasn't awake yet.  Would see her about 6:00.  Picked her up at 5:45.  We went to breakfast.  She had a container of cheesy potatoes to send home with me.
Today, Dawn will call me after her doctor's appointment to give her a ride home, after which I will text Michelle, who lives only a short distance from Dawn's apartment.  Michelle and I will bum around a while before I bring her home.....

After I ran Michelle to the Floral shop there in Plainwell, as we were about to head back to Michelle's, I received a call from Sheri, first asking if I was home, to which I replied that I was in Plainwell.  She asked me if I could pick up some milk for her- 3 cartons.  I said "Sure!" (She drinks 2% Horizon milk.)  I don't know what Michelle thought of this.  She seemed a little quiet, as I took her home.  I asked if she was okay, and she said she's fine.  Anyway, I went to walmart- they didn't have the milk I needed.  Went to Meijer's, and they had it.  Got it, and brought it home to Sheri.

When I take Michelle anywhere, I'll ask her if she's too hot or too cold in the car to  which she replies "I'm perfect!"  I'll say "I know that!  But how do you feel?"

Woke at 2:30 a.m., so canceled my alarm, and stayed up.  Need to be at Michelle's at 5.  Today, I hope to make an appointment at Ziegler Dodge, take my absentee ballot request to City Hall, take Chipper for a walk, and whatever my women decide for me to do today.

Texted Michelle at 7:32 this morning, as she was texting me.  We both slept well, and we'll be going to Mcdonald's at 10:30.  Going to take a shower right now.

We didn't go to Mcdonald's yesterday, as Michelle had a bad headache, due to her (I think Epilepsy).   Usually, her medication controls it.  So i had most of the day to myself.  Took Chipper for a walk, and did laundry.
Today, I'll wait till I hear from Michelle before I make plans.  She was upset last night because the USPS informed delivery app does not show a check arriving today that she'd been planning on.

Is Michelle subject to seizures ? 
My granddaughter, Maggie, is and she simply must sleep until
near noon. He employment with Meijer bakery takes it into
consideration and gives her an afternoon shift. Once her mom
and I woke her earlier in order to clean house for a friend
whose daughter wasn't allowed to come home from the Hospital
until the house was cleaned from top to bottom. 
Sure enough, Maggie ended up having a seizure.

This morning, I took Michelle to the convenience store- then to Applebees for lunch, took her home, went to walmart for a few things ( left my phone in the car).  Came back to the car- there were 3 texts from Michelle.  She wanted my help with something, and was flustered that I wasn't answering her texts.  Helped her, then went home.  At 3:45, Dawn called, and invited me to join her and a neighbor lady at  the VFW fish fry at 4:30.  Couldn't get ahold of Michelle, so I went alone.  Food was good, but wouldn't go again.  I don't like crowds.  On the way back to the car, I got another text from Michelle.  She needed me again.  Zipped over there, took her to convenience store and back.  Then, I came home and fed Chipper.
