This morning, I took Michelle to the convenience store- then to Applebees for lunch, took her home, went to walmart for a few things ( left my phone in the car).  Came back to the car- there were 3 texts from Michelle.  She wanted my help with something, and was flustered that I wasn't answering her texts.  Helped her, then went home.  At 3:45, Dawn called, and invited me to join her and a neighbor lady at  the VFW fish fry at 4:30.  Couldn't get ahold of Michelle, so I went alone.  Food was good, but wouldn't go again.  I don't like crowds.  On the way back to the car, I got another text from Michelle.  She needed me again.  Zipped over there, took her to convenience store and back.  Then, I came home and fed Chipper.

Sorry.  I missed your question about Michelle.  Yes.  She has had seizures.  That's what one of her medications is for, I guess.  One of the reasons I don't want her walking to the store is that she had a seizure last time she did that.  I also worry about her being attacked.  Men can find women of her small stature quite appealing.

LFF, you're a good friend. How long has Michelle been

I wonder if she too should follow a sleep pattern.
When we went to S.C. last week, we had to stay over
about an hour late at motels so Maggie could sleep later.

1.  I don't know
2.  Something to do with her brain.  She gets migraines too

Another full day for LFF.

I went to Henry Ford ER to obtain Medical Directive forms.
After my sister was put on a ventilator, against her wishes,
I decided to make my intentions known and they will be
notarized.
Also visited little doggie. That about covers my day thus far.

I have a copy of my Mom's directive.  My Sister and friend, Tim have copies of mine.

The requirements and restrictions governing Advance Directives will be different by state; however, in Michigan, neither witnesses nor notarization are legally required for Living Will directives. That said, both are recommended to help reinforce the legitimacy of your document. If you are making a "Designation of Patient Advocate for Health Care" (also known as a Healthcare Power of Attorney), then two witnesses are required. As a general standard, your witnesses will need to be at least 18 years old, and none of them should also be your agent.

Here it is Sunday morning, rain is sprinkling, and may be for a while, which didn't bother Chipper in the least.  Last night, Michelle mentioned that we might make our morning run today, but she hasn't texted me yet this morning.

Texted Michelle.  She was concerned because I'd pulled out of the station with no headlights on yesterday morning.  Replied to her that having such a lovely lady next to me is so distracting.  I'll have to pay more attention to my driving.

I will have my directive Notarized just to cover all bases.

I did a load of laundry, washed the lunch dishes, called my
brother Tommy in South Carolina. Also called my firstborn son.
Soon I will visit my doggie friend.
I believe my little sister is gently telling me to let her go, to get
on with this life, that memories will sustain me until we meet again.
The waves of emotional loss haven't washed over me this day.

I pray for GOD's blessings to cover each of you, my friends.

No and no, but the lights around the station were very bright.
Told Michelle I'm fine.  Went over there at 6 this morning.  It was dark outside, and I pulled out of her driveway without lights on, on purpose.  Then I quickly turned them on before she got scared.  Took her to the station and back.
Got home and Sheri texted me, asking me to go get her milk and graham crackers.  Long story there.
Went to my Mom's this afternoon, and she's doing pretty well today.

I'm so glad your mom is doing well.
I shall expect a lonnnng story tomorrow regarding Sheri.

Sheri drinks Horizon 2% milk in a carton.  She wanted 3 cartons- store had none, so I texted her asking if A2 was okay.  She said yes.  Found they had one carton of A2 brand, so I bought 2 cartons of some organic 2%.  She doesn't want off brand graham crackers, so I bout the one box of Nabisco graham crackers they had.  Got back to the car, and she wanted 2 boxes- oh well!  Also bought bag of ice and freezer bag to keep milk cold.  Texted her that I was heading home.  She met me on the steps up to her apartment.Thanked me so much!  Also paid me  for that and stuff I'd gotten her the other day.
  Today, I'll be leaving 8 a.m. to pick up Michelle.  We'll go to bank and a bunch of other stuff.

LFF, you could be doing Door Dash and making $$$.
You would save gas $$ by moving into Michelle's complex.
OH, nobody asked my opinion? 

We did more Fall cleanup. I decided enough for me today 
when Mosquitoes sucked my blood. I believe I have the 
Blood type they require in their Blood Bank.
Ray continued to mow grass, mulch leaves with the mower,
as I sit on the glider drinking coffee.
Soon I will visit Little Chuckie.

Was up at 1:30 this morning, thinking it was 5:30, as my clock is off due to a power outage last night.  I'll be going out to Plainwell in about an hour.  Michelle and I both have appointments today.  I'll be getting my covid booster, but now I hear it won't be effective against the Mu variant that's coming across our borders from Columbia.

LFF, I seriously wish you wouldn't take that booster.
I hear not so good things about them. Still, you're 
a grown man and capable of deciding for yourself.

We prepared the garlic bed today, ready for setting out the garlic
probably next week.
Also visited Little Chuckie. A small dog walked down the street 
while I had him out and decided to visit. Little Chuckie went bonkers.
MUst be a male. I had my hands full getting him inside. He can be 
very strong when he gets ready for a battle. Thankfully the owner came
and took the litle guy home.

Chipper is the same way, but he's getting better.
Going to Plainwell is a little bit, after I take Chipper out, and Dawn will be coming out about 8:30, so I have to be home.
I did get my booster yesterday, and my regular flu shot too.  Now both my arms itch a bit.  Asked if I could get my shot in a glass with ice, and was told it's not that kind of shot.  I hear the vaccine does not work against the Mu variant coming up from Columbia with the thousands of immigrants on the way North. 
Michelle took me out for Catfish for lunch again yesterday.  Was very good.  Also deposited the money from Michelle, and got my checking account caught up so I'll have rent on the First.  Don't know if we'll be going out for breakfast today.
Sheri had mentioned yesterday that she'd like some ice cream, but shouldn't get it, so when I was at Village Markup yesterday, I bought her some vanilla ice cream cups.  Gave them to Sheri last night, explaining that I'd gotten them so she could eat a little at a time.  She texted me later that I'm sweet.

We are still waiting for our booster shot, should be November. I don’t have flu vaccine as every time I’ve had it caught flu and one year had it three times.
Quiet day here, husband out at golf range. I’ve cleaned kitchen sink and brushed window sill round back of the bungalow. Will wash them tomorrow but it’s a lot of work.

LFF, how kind of your friend to repay you in time for rent.
You must have been overjoyed that Sheri was happy with your gift.

Chipper is a good doggie. 
Are mosquitoes rampant in western Michigan? Do you get a new 
kind, very small, very potent? They not only go after me, but 
Little Chuckie as well. I use the Bite Blocker on my skin, but not
sure if it's OK for animals.

2Anne, do you wash your own windows? Do you use a stepladder?
I can clean the inside, but I'm not one for climbing ladders, not
even stepladders. I will use a sturdy stepstool inside, provided I
can hold onto something like a wall.

I don't do windows.  Haven't noticed mosquitoes here in weeks.  I have a flea and tick spray from Vet's Best that seems to work well on mosquitoes.

Peppermint also repels mosquitoes. 
Was up at 1:30, with the little pink guy, pulling me to the jim.  Went back to bed.  Was up again at 3:30, took Chipper out.  Decided to stay up.  Michelle texted me at 4:09.  I'll run out there at 5:30.  Will bring her her Pampered Chef order.

Today was spent taking out more garden, going to 
Walmart, Meijer,  for new wiper blades. 
The young man had them on lickety split and I tipped him $5.00

She's paid me back a large sum, and has recommended that we go 'dutch' from now on.  She's up on Mackinac Island by now.  She also told me she'd text me when she got home Sunday.
And yes.  I do enjoy her company.  As we had breakfast this morning, I couldn't stop looking at her.

Joyous I do not clean the windows, just the sills, my husband does the windows. We did have a window cleaner but he retired and the man that took over wanted to come too often. Mostly the rain keeps them clean, not a pleasant job.
Husband out golfing this morning so I will do some housework and get lunch ready.

I wouldn't call it a 'romance', 2 Anne.  I would like to, but Michelle let me know upfront, not directly, but upfront, that she doesn't want a boyfriend or a relationship, definitely not marriage, that she likes being single and living alone.
She's been violated in the past (I won't go into how), and I can definitely understand her aversion to men.  I've seen how men use, abuse, and control women.  It makes me so ANGRY!  I have never hurt a woman, and I never will!  My Mamma brought me up right.
Now, Sheri seems to be coming around a bit- brought me some goulash last night.
I usually let the rain do my windows too.  I do have to clean the sliding glass doors occasionally, as they're set back under a balcony, and protected from the rain.
Have no idea what Chipper and I will do today.  Right now, I'll make myself some pancakes.

Sounds like Michelle is softening. Best wishes anyway.

Sheri brought me a muffin this morning.  She lives upstairs here in the apartment building, and she's only 12 years younger than me, as opposed to 27 years for Michelle. 
Last year, Sheri came down on me hard, when I told her I'd grown quite fond of her.  Now, she apologized for being so hard on me, and wants us to sit down and have a heart to heart- soon.

It has been my experience that men are more needy than women.
Emotionally. An I mistaken in that opinion? Can it be men are all 
different just as women are? 2Anne, you're blessed to have a long 
lasting marriage. I divorced my husband of 23 years possibly a
mistake because it broke up our home.
I have been with my Housemate for 36 years. No demands, shared 
expenses, i believe we're both as content as most couples. The fact
of freedom to walk away seems great to me.

No Joyous.  Both men and women are needy.  I think it's just that so much more is expected of the male gender.

I’m very lucky with my husband. He is kind and generous and has supported me through thick and thin. All of my three sisters divorced and one remarried. I don’t take my husband for granted.
You have two ladies in the picture now LFF. I’m glad you are settled now Joyous.

Michelle texted me at 6:30 this morning.  Guess she had a nice time at the conference.
She asked if I can run her around to do a bunch of stuff tomorrow.  Replied that I can do that, that I missed her, and was glad to hear she's okay.  She replied to that with a smiley face, not one with hearts, but a smiley face.

Both my former husband(He is now deceased)
and myself were to young emotionally for marriage.
In retrospect, I should have stayed married to keep
our home together, for the children and for us.
I have learned much since, but the years cannot be
recaptured.

Went to the jim at 2:30 this morning, received a text at 4 a.m. from Michelle asking if we can start our running around at 7.  Replied I'll let you know in a couple of hours.  Took Chipper out, back in, took my readings, wrapping up emails, then will head to Plainwell.

Thankyou for your kind words LFF and Joyous. I do love my husband and as I said we have been married 50 years next July. We will have a family celebration.
LFF you seem emotional about Michelle and she certainly engages with you but it’s a big age gap, I hope it ends well. Joyous it’s sad about your marriage but maybe you and the children were better off alone?
Saw daughter and exhausting 21 month grandson yesterday. We had a lovely time but went to bed early!
Just been for a walk, nice wether with the sun out and not too cold.

This morning, I picked up Michelle at 7, took her to Meijer gas station, then to Panera Bread, where she picked up lunch to go, took her to the bank, where we sat in an awkward silence for 20 minutes, while she did stuff on her phone, as we waited for the bank to open.  She said she needed to get home and take her anxiety medicine. She's still feeling effects of the crowds and confusion of the conference over the weekend.
After a few hours sleep, she wasn't much better, but she got a text asking if she could come in tomorrow morning for her Pfizer booster, and she asked if I could take her.  I told her I will.

LFF, friendship is sometimes better than romance.

My usual, laundry, a little garden work, visit with 
my favorite doggie, and a visit to Salvation Army
with daughter and Granddaughter. I bought a pair of jeans.

I try to be a good friend to my few friends.  Today, I'll be running into town to pick up something from Michelle's conservator, go to Plainwell to pick up Michelle, take her to the bank in West Kalamazoo, then to East Kalamazoo for her Pfizer Booster.  Hope to get home before Fed Ex gets here with a package I have to sign for.

If you were a taxi LFF you would earn a lot of money, how much is gas per gallon in the US? It’s about £7 here. It’s windy out but I shall go for a walk soon. Been busy with cleaning bedroom this morning

Paid 3.35 a gallon for gas today, 2Anne.  That's about 88 cents a litre.  So I figure you're paying about 4.37 a U.S. gallon?  We're averaging about 4.03 a gallon in California here.
Yes.  I'm finding I need to gas up more often now, with trips to Plainwell and Kalamazoo every day.  I have about a 13 gallon tank in my car.  Took Michelle to get her Covid booster today, and they told her she can't get it for another 10 days, as it hasn't been long enough since her second shot.  They're(Wallgreens) the ones who called her and offered her a booster appointment for today...  Didn't do much to help her anxiety.

Went to Plainwell this morning.  Took Michelle to gas station (went in to protect her, as I saw a few guys go in there about the same time), went to Judy's for breakfast, then to walmart, before I took her home.
Will take Chipper to his grooming at 10:00, then will see Michelle again while Chipper is being groomed.

Gas is £1.50 per litre here so yours sounds cheap. However it soon goes if you have a lot of long runs. Recently the media fuelled panic buying at the gas stations.
Very annoying that Michelle was offered a booster and then it was withdrawn. You seem to eat out a lot LFF.

2Anne, I admire people who are able to stay married "Til death us do part."
I had a sister in law who knew she had terminal cancer and determined to 
celebrate their  50th wedding anniversary. They did. 
She died about 5 or 6 months later. She had even told her husband who she
wished him to marry when she was gone. I agree it would have been a good
match. However the other woman died also of cancer. He hasn't married, but
he shares a home and his life with another woman his wife knew.

LFF, do you ever need a day off? If Michigan gets
the usual Winter weather, won't you have to curtail 
some of the jaunts? Maybe combine some errands
by making appointments closer to each?

I made a phone call which I had needed to make, but
sort of dreaded. I had called my niece twice since her 
daughter was murdered, but felt she might need 
another call. My older sister-her mother- died a few 
years ago and my sister who died recently, her close Aunt
would have comforted her as much as possible. It seemed
I should step up. It's a very emotional call for both of us.
The investigation is ongoing and unusual family changes
as the child involved is nine and must be protected by the
authorities. Therefore must be removed from family who
might be on a hit list.   that the evil person is soon brought
to justice. Then and only then can healing begin.
