It's cloudy here this morning, but at least it is 52F. We have rain coming, around mid-morning.

She left a house- 3 bedroom modular, with a breezeway connected to a 2 and a half stall garage, but I don't want it  due to the work, maintenance, and price. ( I'd have to pay my Sister half the value of the house, etc, plus I'd have to buy the 2 village lots it's on, as the lots are my Sister and Brother in law's.
Michelle took me out for breakfast today, and gave me a little cash, so I'm not broke.

Hopefully the house will sell soon and you will get half.

Half of the value of the modular home, which isn't much.  The value is in the 2 city lots it's on, which belong to my Sister and Brother-in-law.

Sorry to hear of your situation LFF, and hope you can sort something out, maybe cheaper accommodation?

Jackie, honestly, that was my first thought, Why can't he live in his mom's place until he finds new digs?

This day began with showering, washing a load of outerwear, going to fill my gas tank, Meijer for a few items. After lunch I visited Little Chuckie. He was such a good pal today.
Back home I tried calling Tommy, the oldest of my remaining siblings. Today is his birthday. No answer.
Maybe he, his wife, our younger brother Walter, his wife went for a ride in the mountains? When our sister, Juanita was living, the whole bunch of them used to suddenly decide to ride through the scenic mountains. Maybe they did today, in memory of her.

I had a call from Starletta, an employee of Blue Cross, who needed to ask a lot of questions about my physical, emotional and mental health. I enjoyed our chat.
I'm so hoping tomorrow will be sunny and warm enough that I can at least dig some garden space for planting.

While I was typing messages for Jackie's Birthday popped up, SO,

I don't plan on moving out any time soon.
Today, Michelle took me out for breakfast, gave me a little cash so I wouldn't be broke
I took her to Meijer to get a few things.  Then I had to stop by Home Depot to get some Estate Sale signs.  Came home and have been sitting or lying back most of the afternoon.

Well, I doubt they can evict you with surgery looming in the near future.

I can imagine how you continue to think of him.
I was divorced years ago, but I still think of him. He was the father of our five children and I loved his family like my own too. We never hated each other.

A nice, although wet, morning starting off here. 68F, with a light sprinkle from time to time.

Hi Windwalker and all!  I have a call in to the first orthopedic surgeon I saw to hopefully get an appointment and get this hip done.

I know the feeling Jackie.  It will be 18 years in Sept for mine and I still miss him.

Sunday would have been his 81 birthday.  I even stood up in church and talked about him and did not realize we were live on facebook at the time.  If anyone is interested they can go and listen to Sunday's message.  I will post the link if you want.  Not sure if you are not on facebook if you would get the link or not but you can try.  Just let me know and I will post the link.

Sending prayers of comfort Jackie and what ever you do keep those memories alive.  This will keep you going year after year.

By the way Jackie do we have your hubby in our Memorial Wall? If not I can add him if you would like that.  The Memorial Wall is for our family and friends and not needed to one of the Shout Members although we do have some names on there who were.

Today I have done very little. The day is young.
I washed 12 small, plastic pots for seeding garden plants. I put 18 Detroit Red beet seeds in a paper egg carton. They may be ready for the garden when the temp is high enough.
Soon I will visit Little Chuckie.

We had a guest speaker that day and he is the Pastor's cousin and a musician.  The Pastor was out of town this past weekend.  Anyway the video starts off with a few songs then about a minuet after the speaker starts I stood up and asked if I could say something.   I was not nervous at all to speak....it was basically a testimony.  There were others who testified after me and then a very powerful message which I encourage anyone to listen.  None of the testimonies were on camera just the voices.


By the way the girl singing in the first song in the cousin's daughter and she has some type learning disability or challenge.  This has never stopped her from singing.

You can hear the testimonies at a little past 18 minuets.

Looking forward to exercise  classes and out to dinner this evening.

What a day I've had!  Got up early, went to Plainwell and back, took a nap, went back to Plainwell, then to Sam's Club in Kalamazoo (Michelle had never been to one- She LOVED it!), went home, unloaded my car, took Chipper for a walk with my walker, finally connected with the assistant to the first surgeon I saw.  Now have an appointment with the surgeon on March 29!

Went to bed early, so here I sit at 4am. I have one early morning errand to run, then that is it for the day.

Hi Jackie, Windwalker, and all!  This appointment will only be to meet with the doctor again, after meeting with him last month.
Hoping to go out to my Mom's today, taking Chipper along for the ride.

Son just took the plastic off the small garden we have out so far.  Lettuce is finally coming up.  Been rather cool for a garden but with him covering it on cold nights it really does help.  He uses plastic trash bags and holds them down with bricks and all he does is flip the bags back and then can cover when needed.

Now that  I know how to post pic from my phone I will be sending them when garden is growing more.  Plants are still too tiny to see in a picture right now.  I do know there are plenty of weeds coming up and also some volunteer tomatoes.

Been for a walk in sun with no coat as it was so warm. Spotted celandines and violets in the hedgerow and daffodils and hyacinths in the gardens. Lovely Spring day. Enjoy your day everyone.

45 minute drive out to my Mom's today.  My Sister was gone to an appointment, so couldn't really do anything.  Took a nap in my Mom's recliner.  Then headed home with Chipper- nice ride for him, and I jammed to Oldies music.

Everyone seems to have something going on.

I went with daughter, gr.daughter. gr.son to meet my second son, Bill at the house he, his wife and their oldest son are selling. He brought his pickup truck. W loaded several patio blocks onto his pickup, a few in my backseat and several in my daughter's back seat.
All of us to my youngest son's mobile home, here in this park. Gr.son and Gr.daughter worked very hard loading and unloading. Daughter also. We find we need about 24 more to finish. So we will go back soon. I'm a tired person.

Will try to keep you posted.

LFF, your apartment complex should not be legally able to evict you during your recovery from surgery. If I
lived closer I surely would visit during your convalescence. I'm sorry you must endure this, but GOD will send His angels to keep watch over you.

The audio sometimes is not good because they are using a cell phone as camera and audio.  That is all the church can afford right now.  I told them they should use Youtube for it might be better.

No the man singing that is his daughter.  The man is our pastor's cousin.  Pastor was out of town this past weekend visiting family in OK.

The flowers are the Pastor's idea.

I WAS in a good mood until our Mobile Home Park (ex) Manager delivered a notice that our May lot rent will be increased by about $45.00 or $50.00 per month. The two of s can manage. People on disability or those working people living alone will have it tough. The salt in the wound is the condition of our road which I have learned to navigate deep potholes like an expert. There are 6 or 7 lots standing empty. OKAY, that is my rant for today.
P.S. I washed the white laundry. Now I will visit my doggie who lives with my youngest son.

Jackie, I pray the rent increase won't be a huge burden.
With fuel, food, all costs so much higher than two years ago, people will find they/we must cut out any frivolities, such as new shoes, which I buy either at resale shops or on a sale of discontinued styles. I don't smoke. Some people are addicted and may find they can smoke less. I suppose I could eat less, lol
One man here, about the age of my own sons, lives alone and is on disability. At least one female, same problem, how will they make it?
Little Chuckie was delighted to see me, bashed my lip in his joy, fortunately It didn't bleed. Taught me to control him slightly.

Today just finishing off the chores then just relaxing afternoon.

Joyous and Jackie.....sorry your rent is going up.  What else is new?? I am tired of increases.  Each time you go shopping there are increases.  

I am very cautious as to what I purchase at the Dollar Tree now.  Everything was $1 until the first of the year and then they raised it to $1.25.  Tell me that is 25% increase for inflation and some of their stuff just is not worth more than a dollar.  There are some things I will buy there but not like I use too.

The gas prices in my area go back and forth and back and forth again.  One day it is $3.79 and then goes up to $3.89 then back down to $3.79.  Been like that for weeks now.  It is $3.89 right now.  I saw where diesel is near the $5.00 price.

My lease is up in August.  Right now, my 845 a month includes heat, water, sewer, and trash pickup in the large dumpster by the office.
Come September, my rent will increase by the 50 dollars it does every year, plus I will be charged 40 to 45 dollars a month for water and sewer.
I get a break in that I don't have to pay the 45 dollars for my little Chipper, as I've given them a paper from my doctor stating that I need him for my emotional help.
Oh.  and this is for a 1 bedroom apartment.

LFF, I wouldn't be able to live where you do. People think of trailer trash when you say Trailer Park. Good, decent people live here and a few with little children. Two of my kids own trailers and live here.
I think I may have mentioned my first granddaughter
just got the job in Coldwater. Her title is Cardiac Sonographer. (If I'm not mistaken.)

I lived in Mobile home parks for about 20 years.  Usually had decent neighbors.  Then Sally asked me to move in with her.  Found out how much work owning a house is.
